| I was surprised, I didn't expect it to be so good (at least this first episode), I liked the protagonist from the first moment while the color palette makes me feel nostalgic xdd Everything is a festival of references but without a doubt what made me laugh the most was "Metal GAY solid" xdddd  |

| Pretty solid first episode. I like the main character and the premise seems interesting enough. Seasonals that start out like this go one of two ways: lose all steam immediately and become not fun to watch, or become very fun and continue to improve on its story. Got decent hopes for this one |

| I'll definitely watch this every week. It got a good hook especially for the otaku stuff and the back in time plot. Konoha's aspiration for working as an artist or an otaku is actually really good reasoning. Cute girls are so beloved because they could cheer you up and makes your day with various emotions be it happy, sad, angry, etc. Enjoying this part of being an otaku fan is exactly what interest me in bishoujo genre too. And working as an illustrator with such high spirited and idealistic view will also resulting in disappointment really quick. Konoha also points out really good aspiration to work on visual novels too. We must dare to dream, make an exciting game and brings out the cute girls to life with the various personalities. Well we live in a mediocre time where innovation isn't needed but most company will only create what's mostly sold in the market thus all of them look similar or generic. This applied to all anime, manga, LNs and other media too. The first ep is pretty solid for setting up the story but geez that Konoha's voice is too high pitched and really hurts my ears lol. I think it will take some time to adjust. |

| It's hard not to get swept up in the MCs enthusiasm, though that has a lot to do with Aoi Koga, the VA of Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya Sama, but only the sickly version. Her higher pitched, moe style sound really compliments the MC and her design. Something about it just clicks for me, it's not annoying in the slightest personally. Really cool plot concept, looking forward to this one. New Game was a hit with me, this one is a bit more offbeat in comparison, but it does give me some similar vibes. It's interesting spotting all the other works sprinkled throughout the anime as well, Lycoris Recoil, Fate, Madoka, etc. Don't think I've ever seen so many actual real life works in an anime before. |

| There's something about shows that have otaku culture as its main theme that makes them so good. Onimai was another one recently that was really good. Aniplex with their shows on advertisment boards was really fun to see all the references. |

| If only the main heroine wasn't so annoying this would be excellent title. (part of me think it's mainly due to her voice, Koga Aoi is a big miss here. She will bring this series down to oblivion unless she tones it down a bit. Horie Yui or Kawasumi Ayako on the other hand...) The success or doom of this show would depend on their future interactions but unless they can pull Isekai Ojisan type of humor, I wouldn't hold my hope high. |

| Having been to Akihabara for the first time last month, man this was way too accurate. The shrine she prayed to was the thing that caught me off guard because I instantly recognized it as I found it when exploring akiba and thought to myself "wow look I've discovered a hidden away shrine". But relatable asf, the VN industry is in shambles so I feel ya Konoha. |

| Not quite sure how I felt about the episode besides being a bit turned off by the voice for Konoha in this episode but as someone who has played not a lot but a fair few VNs, this kind of plot can be a decent concept if executed well. It's just the beginning so not much to judge but this series can either be a sleeper or be boring in the long run story-wise. I still don't know, but the idea seems okay on paper. The references to VNs and the industry were probably the most interesting parts to this episode. |
| Well, anime continues its long tradition of casting girls in boy's roles... this time, an insanely cute girl with a squeaky voice who just LOVES erotic shoujo games. Because they're so common lol... When this started I thought- hey am I seeing things or is the screen showing in 4:3? Does everything show this way and I'm just noticing it now? Ah it's a gimmick- they got me! That was pretty clever. So MC Konoha travels back in time to the year 1992- which in Japan is apparently the "golden age" of erotic games. (was it really? I remember the computers we had in school even years later and they were shitty Apple II E's that had all green text on black screen and were nowhere near 16bit. 16bit didn't come until years later! But I suppose Japan was way ahead of us with that stuff anyway. Of course she looks like she's 15- because of course she does- and all the other male characters look like cardboard cutouts. Everything that happened at her office was kind of funny; and the way she's transported back in time is at least cool and retro in its own way. There was a lot to like in this premiere- probably the best was the graphics. For a show with "16bit" in its title, the graphics are trying to pull 64 as best they can. Everywhere in the background are detailed signs, advertisements, and books and games on shelves shown in sharp colorful detail. The whole episode looks fantastic, apart from those terrible side characters. Konoha's voice takes some getting used to- I feel like the seiyuu's voice was probably run through a program to make it especially squeaky and high pitched. I do like the attention to detail this anime has. I'm still a raising an eyebrow to the idea of a girl like that being a "game designer" yea right... but if they made it like RL the MC would have to be some lanky dude with a neckbeard named Brian and face it, nobody wants to see that. |

@luinthoron Assuming it's not an iPhone: If she's tech savvy enough (knows that it uses 5V) they could charge it but they'd basically have to take it apart at least a bit. Because the connector is likely too small to fiddle with.
In 4 years, they'd theoretically be able to bodge it and connect it to a computer. (USB released in 1996 but wasn't super common, apparently 1998 is when it really started taking off)

| @CalorieEnchilada I was thinking the bag full of eroge might be useful if she didn't lose it while time travelling, but looking more closely, I doubt Kanon and Comic Party will run on Windows 3.1. Also, if her experience with her phone battery is anything like mine, it'll probably inexplicably be able to boot up in a few hours. |

I'm aware of how common it is- like I said, nobody wants to see the Truth of who the game/mangaka/designer actually is, they want to see a cute girl. And a cute girl playing the role of someone who designs cute girl content is fine. But I disagree with the industry's portrayal that constantly silences and disappears the actual guys who toil away making this stuff and will always point it out. Even if it is kind of pointless and futile for me to ^_^ |
