Anime original episode? I don't know about that because this story is in the manga. They just made a lot of changes.

Oh really? Do you remember the chapter? Because it wasn't on those few I've read yet.
(I didn't even consider they would change the order of the stories haha)

I just want Sherlock to show up already and hopefully not be made to be an asshole just to be the antagonist.

Anyone notice how that woman ruin Moriarty's perfect plan?

The plan is to have viscount collapse in front of garderner and his wife, asking them for help, which they'll decline, but his wife can't maintain her mental so she ruin the plan.

What? No she didn't. Her attacking him was part of the plan so that he would be forced to take his medication.

Same here! I love Sherlock Holmes in other adaptions. Hope he does not solve all the cases moriaty has a hand in because the people that died are kind of villains. -_-

I really wish the script wasn't so on-the-nose with the way the aristocrats talk down to the poor. Makes it really unbelievable. Even if those are their internal thoughts, no one would be that blunt out loud. They'd talk in circles, make excuses, or just ignore them. Apathy is far more likely than outright malice. If you really considered someone to be beneath you, you wouldn't bother opening the door just to yell at them.

Having that couple bang on the door for help, but no one comes to answer despite there being lights on and movement inside, would have been more believable. Then switch to a scene to the interior where you see the Viscount enjoying dessert or something, while telling his wait staff to ignore the couple, despite clearly hearing them beg for their sons life. Or have the Viscount send a butler to the door to lie that the doctor isn't there. Instead this show has the Viscount himself standing in the doorway and basically yelling "I don't care if your son dies because you are low class!" .....Give me a break.

Clearly the writer wants us to hate these aristocrats so we enjoy their deaths and hand-wave away the morality of their murders due them being such obvious assholes. But good lord I wish it was executed with more subtlety.

That was my problem with this episode too. Everything else was great, but I would have preferred more downplayed and realistic depictions of the class division problem. Nobody would outright show themselves as assholes especially to an "amazingly skilled" worker who they rely on to keep an aspect of their house well kept.

"by sharing the burden of their crimes the two of them have forged a bond that cannot easily be broken."

Sounds like something that come out from Persona Social Links

The episodes was quite-thought provoking at the end, but I thought this was pretty rushed. Everyone are open up so easily to Moriarty from the medicine to the family situation making hiim basically was not doing so much in the process of getting rid of the Baron. One dimensional evil person is also tropes that I never liked so this kinda hammer my enjoyment a aswell. That said, while I do not dislike it, I don't think this was a good episode. Just bring out Holmes already.
I'm too weird to live but much too rare to die.

A pretty enjoyable episode albeit the crime plan was obvious from the start. Like the previous episode, I really love the use of colors during the murder part.

I also agree with the user above (whither), I would really like it more if the „nobles are trash“ moments are done more subtly. Writing feels a bit too amateurish with the way that the nobles are saying exactly what we hate to hear so that we could also easily hate them.

And that last part is very endearing. Indeed, these brothers have an unbreakable bond now. Also just realized that Louis must be wearing his hair that way since he scarred the right side of his face.

I think this going to pickup the same theme which is present in Death Note, and blue-hair guy present in the op and ed is going to be the L for this show... I've been enjoying the show so far tho, so it'll probably put it's own twist on it and it'll be great

Not enough people are watching this show :(

That was a much less gruesome end than the murders in the previous episode, but just as satisfying and well-executed.

The only problem with this anime is that it's making me really like three very twisted people... what does that say about me?!

Wow, they skipped and changed so many things that they made it look like the child's death was the only reason William and co. got rid of Baron Dublin. And the way they did it in the anime... can't say I liked this episode.

I did like how this time the murder was built upon the Viscount's pre-existing health condition and his particular fascination with rare plants. This way it seems like an accident from the get go and they didn't need to do much cover-up of physical evidence. However, it's still extremely suspicious that the Viscount would die so soon after new visitors come to town. I wanted to see Moriarty's manipulative tactics at work as he lies through his teeth to the wait staff and police that go investigate. Skipping over that juicy stuff for a farewell at the train station isn't nearly as satisfying.

I also liked how Moriarty mentioned that the shared burden of the crime strengthened the couple's bound, with how that mirrors the 3 brother's own lives.

Yes, as a historian this is what bothers me most about this show.

been passively watching this, don't think it's bad but i been turning off my brain trying to not think about all stuff people have started to question because it's starting to highlight problems with it right now lol so far everything has been one sided "awful rich noble causing common folk to hate and want the kill them Moritarty gives them away to kill them and get away living with the burden " thats what this show is in the most simplest form but since this is apart of sherlock fiction this show needs it's sherlock and a bigger crime that you can't see right off from the first few seconds i didn't even really know about the effects of grapefruit but figured the moment he mentioned health problems they'd use that and once they brought the gift that was it, still doesn't change how i like how very intense some of the scenes in this show feel like the wife cutting the fruit

all i want is it to be less obvious and bring in someone that can put some pressure on these guys

Another noble problem solved. I wonder how they managed to get away with the crime tho. The gardener and his wife suddenly quit on the very same day the viscount died from the grapefruit they fed him? Moriarty and his bros can say that they didn't know and save their own asses but didn't the viscount's family think the other two were sus...

And as usual, the episode ended with bleeding ears caused by the worst ED song of the year.

Yeah, because of course they should continue to work for a dead guy right ? Also, it was never said it was on the same day, since there's a cut.

Her attack was part of the plan genius, as shown by her crying afterwards and her husband telling her she did good at roleplaying. If she didn't he wouldn't have taken the pills.

Fun fact: grapefruit's interactions with drug metabolism only became widely known in 1991. I'd imagine the Count's death only looked like a quinine overdose to any coroners.

Then again, you'd have to wonder how William knew about a phenomenon that would only be discovered at the end of the next century.

Now they are doing couple counseling.
I know the show isn't being very subtle about how shitty rich people are but one can assume that this viscount didn't treat them always bad if they were willing to ask for help, plus we are seeing said interaction from their point of view so obviously is going to be very melodramatic.
All the scenes with Michelle were done very great, you could feel the intensity of her mourning.

The grapefruit so good, it's worth dying for. Viscount deserved that but I doubt they would've gotten away with that murder irl given the gardener had a grudge and stuff.

Our Protagonist, William James Moriarty gives me vibe of Light Yagami and what he does I definitely won't call that 'justice' but it feels good to see what they deserve.

Gotta watch more episodes! See ya~

I keep thinking that the plan to take someone down will be elaborate and like at least 2 episodes long but nope, they just take fatty down in a single episode. Maybe my expectations for this show is just too high and I need to dial it down. Enjoyed it but would’ve loved more of a build and then especially more of the whole “takedown”.

Review en Español and English

Buen episodio, interesante como el final del vizconde belfor es por la falta de su medico asi como el le hizo a la familia de Burton, literalmente fue el ¨karma¨.

PD: a veces como reacciona el hermano menor de James se ma hace media romantica jaja

Good episode, interesting how Viscount Belfor's end is due to the lack of his doctor, just as it did with Burton's family, it was literally "karma".

PS: sometimes how James's younger brother reacts seems half romantic haha
