Given one of the main aim of anime is to turn us all into Otaku, i'm surprised more Otaku-centric shows like this aren't made, the last i can recall was probably Genshiken.

Anyways i loved this from start to finish, this was two tiered with the idol show as one and the following as the other, they supported each other perfectly and the show would definitely be missing something if one didn't have the other. Loved Maina's shy timid nature, Loved Eripiyo's fiery tenacity even more, really hope we get a 2nd season. 8.

Meh, a lackluster ending. They built up too much tension between Maina and Piyo and didn't properly resolve it. Maina never found out about the packages that were lost, which made it a pointless part of the plot. Piyo never got to know exactly how much Maina loves her, so what's the point? 6/10.

Well imo males should not exist in a Yuri nor in an Idol! But it wasn't that bad to be honest

I also wanted Eripiyos and Mainas relationship to have some more development

And my biggest disappointment Maki and Yume never kissed!! In my book there are NOTING better or more aesthetically beautiful then lesbian kissing in anime!!,,,YEEEEES!!

But I love the style , the animation was gorgeous from time to time and have an unique look! And all the idols are lesbians!!,YEEEES!! And with all this lesbian sweetness I enjoyed it overall

And I give it a strong 7/10 and I definitely want a season 2

It's disgusting how wotaku's mentality is presented as good thing. Young woman wasting all her money from shitty job on buying multiple number of same junk just to hold hand for minute. She easily could be part of idol group with her looks.

That was very good.

I specially enjoyed the first 5 episodes or so, after that it gets repetitive.
Would be very nice (and a 9/10) if they added something else (like a relationship development between Maina and Eripiyo - it stayed almost the same since the beginning).

Anyway 8,5/10 (if it were possible, that is ><)

Also what the hell!!! Why I can't find manga in english and more WTF why I can't find RAW chapters? That are like only from Ch19 to Ch30!!! and there are like 6 volumes of manga!
I mean seriously, why so many anime this season have manga on hiatus and/or no translation?
Somali, Budokan, Bokuhaka and Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy same fate... and probably I forgot about something. :/

The manga raws, up until volume 6, are available right now until the 16th!

As the anime didn't follow the comics precisely and went back and forth, it's difficult to tell. Anyway "idol festival" story is contained and finished in vol.4. So you should start from vol.5. But my advice is... just read from the first :)

It was a good anime. But I'm left with some existential questions :

How much Eripyo spent on Maina ?

Should I change my profession and try to becoming a handshake person ?
When you consider that they basically have to spend 1000 yen for "a CD" (about 10€) and from what I understood they get 5 seconds handshake/talking with their idol, that basically means that one minute is 600€ and one hour is 36 000€ ? Man, just two hours of works, handshaking hand and I can stop working for the year…

Which is actually one of the Reason I was kinda "angry" towards Maina when she was sad that Eripyo only "spend 10€" on her (Everyday ?) while she had her leg broken and could not work ?! It's already a lot to me !

Did the guy who chrono the five seconds only chrono Maina ? (who chrono the others ? We never had a single "forced cut" for the other chara)

And finally… Where do they put all the CD they buy ?!

So much questions, so little answer…

While there are certainly a lot of creepy undertones throughout the series, it offered a lot of interesting perspectives through both sides and you really can't hate it for that. Both the use of traditional 2D for the performances and the detail on their eyes certainly was a plus side for this show.

A lot would argue that their (fans) lifestyle is unhealthy, but whatever, enjoying life is way better than not being passionate about something.

A decent series. What I was pleasantly surprised about this series was how beautiful the backgrounds could be. Definitely a hidden gem in that aspect.

As far as the performances go, they're good but could be far better. Enjoyed this, even if it wasn't the best.

im not a big fan of idol or shoujo ai/yuri idk the right one,but surprisingly i really enjoy this a lot, specially the art, character design(one of my personal favorite) and the animation dance,i can see this can be better in manga because anime is too short for the relationship etc,so yeah i can give it more if eripyo character can be better but she have some annoying and problematic moment
8/10,i really enjoy it so much.

Incredibly weird show, but I didn't mind it surprisingly. Very idealized way to look at 'idols' and their fans, but it's nevertheless a perhaps entertaining way. The characters were generally decent, relatively.

five/10

The anime was pretty good and a great surprise overall but I am still amazed at how golden the male seiyuu cast was for the most random mob characters ever. And I cannot believe my personal seiyuu oshi, Sugita, only got like 2 lines of dialogue in the whole show.

Very good and emotional finale. The performance of ChamJam was nice the and girls can be proud of themselves.

Overall, an entertaining show. Eripiyo and Maina obviously were the main starts, but the chemistry between the other girls was also sweet and touching.

Quite touching episode. Of course all the girls and their fans got really emotional on this big event.
That's funny how these ridiculous giraffe-girls are extremely popular in this world. I think they look stupid and tasteless.

i love this series but imo its so bitter sweet

all the misunderstandings, and then the main 2 never getting their true feelings across

honestly it hurt to have things end where it did and sadly it looks like there will never be more anime from the looks of it

hopefully the manga goes beyond this so ima have to check it out and see where things goes

but yes i really enjoyed this series just sucks how things turned out for the main 2 i just wanted more and more to happen for them but hopefully i can see that in the manga

oshibudou is really funny and an enjoyable show. the only problem i have with it is the miscommunication between maina and eripiyo, they keep edging their relationship and [kind of spoilers but not really] nothing really happens between them. of course that doesnt mean you cant enjoy the show, i just personally hoped for a cute gl. also the animation is gorgeous im happy they didnt use the awful 3d models that animes like bandori or lovelive use.

Seeing the staff at end when they were huddled together going like aww ya we all worked hard together. It reminded me the two female staff never told Maina and Eripiyo they lost those paper slip gifts. Like wow lol

I think two of the idols were dating each other. And Maina did ask that do you ever fall for fans. But I don't think anything would happen between them. Would be cute if they did though!

Loved it, very wholesome.
I could swear the phrase Maina said to Reo before the concert was an homage to Takahashi Minami catch frase (Great effort will always be rewarded)
All in all, this anime handled elegantly the wota way of thinking, and they even made it fun.

Eripiyo was such a fun main character. Good comedy with decent supporting characters. Not like other generic idol anime. Definitely need more seasons of this.

They left us on a cliffhanger that was never resolved, such is the case for most single season anime.

maina finally got to say that she is thankful to eripiyo. this was a fun show, id wish thered been more actual relationship developement between the two as friends or more.... it was funny though

"the end...?" hint at possible continuation? sadly its been 4 years since this ended so probably not happening
