Well, Hank could've just showed him the ocean in the beginning, he could still probably be saved. Looks like Cain became an incarnate himself or just gained some special ability

I don't what your problem with it

As I said, he lacks development. He's pretty basic so far and Schaal's case is even worse. He's not neither a good nor bad character, just average/uninteresting. It's just my opinion tho.

This episode had a very sad and emotional ending. Arthi, the giant, went a long way, taking care not to hurt anyone, just to fulfill his desire to see the sea 😢. At least, just before he died, he could see it.
Damn! If only there was a cure to save good people like Arthi.

Anyway, Cain appeared, that damn bastard! The mess that will be built when Hank has it in front. I can not wait.

The story is based on real life. Apart for the magic power of the incarnates every real life thing should apply. About being an author I would not say is that hard. I tried my hand on lyrical works and on short stories before not without some success. So about being hard or not... I do not know about this. There are many ways to write stuff. Generally the one I adhere to is write about you feel inspired and make the research to make sure what you write makes sense. Is an old adage that says : write about what you know. Not the first anime where the writer writes about something he does not have a clue about.

Is nobody going to point out the terrible animation for the horse legs at 10:19 or so? I actually shook my head in disappointment.
Anyways, this was a pretty gruesome episode. Hank's werewolf form must be incomprehensibly strong to be able to hold the behemoth off for a few seconds like that. The behemoth dragging his entrails with him was pretty brutal.
Overall, an above average episode, in my opinion.

I really thought this would be a decent anime at least after seeing the first episode, but it just gets worse and worse at such a rapid speed. I fking hate dropping shows though..
