| Nice, nice. The first prison anime I've watched was Prison School which is hilarious, so it's cool to see a more serious one now :] Interesting opening ep too, I must say. Shiro is adorable. |

| How to interest the audience: Skip the bs and go straight to some messy situation! The pain for Ganta is excruciating, nobody (except Shiro?) believed him and everybody accuses him of murdering all his classmates. Well at least the real killer gave him that red crystal... |

| That didnt make much sense to me, and I was expecting to see more gore on the first episode, but I m expecting the next episode to deliver some chick gore and scary stuff, which is always a must for me for summer time. |

| Oh my, everything here was kinda unexpect for me (I didn't search anything about this anime previously), nevertheless gotta say that it was a really good ep. Also, animation and design in general was very well done in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't that good is that the story seems a lot rushed. (too much information and emotion to organize in mere 20 minutes ^^') |

| Was kind of always aware of this title, but never really knew what it was about other than it was in essence, a battle royale of sorts. I never thought to heed any attention to it. Now recently somehow I stumbled across the "G-cup" scene and thus I of course had to add it to the watchlist immediately. Upon checking it out some more, I see it was an anime that aired back in the Spring 2011 season, and was actually a rather substantially popular anime being in the top 100 most popular here on MAL. Sure it's #96, but still, top 100. So yeah I've now arrived at it on my ptw list, and it appears to be quite solid. The animation and soundtrack is great, and I find myself intrigued and curious to learn more about theme park of death. However after reading about it some more, I don't actually know if I want to continue: apparently the anime ends on a rather unsatisfactory note and that continuing it on in the manga is basically mandatory. And as someone who doesn't REALLY read the manga, that is kind of a turn off for me. So now I have to decide if the short thrill ride of death that follows (which I'm assuming I'll very much enjoy) will be worth it for the subpar ending to the anime. You know what, I'll just go watch or read a review or something. If you don't see me in the next discussion thread, I'll have probably just left it right here. edit: so yeah it looks like it'll be a worth-while watch for the most part, but the end of the anime really does leave you hanging in a not-so-satisfactory way. So it's a pass from me. I guess its rather low-ish score (by MAL standards at least) of 7.17 is there for a reason. |

| Deadman Wonderland being able to manifest an entire kangaroo court at their discretion seems a bit unbelievable, but I do realise that real courts aren't much better. Besides that, I'm liking it. it's gory, harsh, and establishes the villains without playing them off as sympathetic or misunderstood. |

| The beginning really caught me off guard, as someone who's been used to Seinen, I didn't expect such a brutal start to this. But then again, it makes sense as it introduces Ganta's simple life before the series' events. Captain Makina's a pretty harsh woman, I would say. And I like Shiro as a character so far. Definitely can't wait to start Episode 2. |

I wonder if the candy is given as a reward for doing both good but also given to take time away from the prisoners life Where tf are Ganta's parents tho, fr? The warden is a baddie Kinda funny that the language is censored but the gore isn't |
