March is so adorable! I like her here more in the manga for some reason.
And I do not know what you are talking about. This Opening is fantastic! The visuals gave me goosebumps. I won't call these things spoilers at all.

I didn't feel anything in the first episode, but this episode was depressing. I kind of dislike how depressing it was. Now another girl is going to be killed in her place but either way it sucks. Just really depressing to think about.

It feels unrealistic how overly aware of her own mortality March is to lash out about being denied the right to grow up; it helps hammer the thematic point, but it feels like the writing was focused more on making that point than making sure the way it's made feels even remotely plausible.

Exactly what I thought. From the tone of this show, it's safe to say the author wanted it to be as realistic as possible (except the immortal being part of course). He could've done a better job seeing that through on all aspects, to achieve the realism he's trying to portray.

The episode was fine. The girl was cute and all but the episode wasn't really mind-blowing and was even more predictable than the first episode.

Predictability has very less to do with the experience. That is how many shows can be watched more than once, but the amazement only rises.

Exactly. The interaction of little happy child with emotionally detached older person has been done MULTIPLE times, but I'll watch every single one - there's just something enamoring about a world that feels real, and then watch the same situation unfold according to THAT world. It's all the smaller interactions that do it for me

I wasn't expecting to like this episode. March's character design just seemed too... chibi in comparison to the landscape and Fushi in general. But they got me again. The way 'it' is using nameless boy's body as an animal - it just feels weird, and in a way that you want March to help him.
March herself grew on me, not specifically cuz of her situation, which is sad, but for how she deals with the scenarios thrust upon her. Hahaha, playing fetch with 'it' xDD
I can't wait for their relationship to develop more! Looking forward to 'it' saying his first words!

Nice ep
I think I really will fall in love with this
Anyways op and ed both were very intriguing I really loved them ... except for the Spoilers...

The OP is out, and WOW the many spoilers in there, though we'll get to them very soon...and I'd have to say that they did a good job masking it as spoiler-free

Exactly T-T
I am an anime only and Because of this op I understood almost everything that's gonna happen :((( in this arc

Like that zombie type thing in op and there was one more thing I noticed which made me angry :( Guess I'll only listen to it and avoid the screen as much for a few ...couple of weeks

Not really T-T I am an anime only and I am loving this but as much as I rewatch the op ( cuz it's amazing in every way ) I notice more and more things

pretty fucked up plot for this one, nice.

i think this is one of the best ED i've ever saw quality wise, the OP has good visuals too(kinda disturbing sometimes), both of them have so much spoilers and information that i don't remember anything already, that's good because i'm not gonna watch them anymore.

I find it very interesting that the Being took the form of the boy as he was at the moment. That would mean he would continuously regenerate to the "starting point", and that includes the bandage on his leg. It was a strange sight to see it tying itself again.

I didn't like this episode as much as the previous one, but it was still very good. I think I'm gonna love Fushi (just found out that's his name) even if he isn't the original one. I find him to be very undearing and interesting, I particularly like how he behaves like a dog because that's what he previously was (or was that a wolf ? I can't remember). He even follows March around just like how he followed the original boy around. It's interesting to see that, he needs to be taught everything, I'm looking forward to him becoming more human as the story progresses. It's also intriguing to know that he is immortal, I wonder if there is a limit.
Well, nice to see that he made a friend ! I didn't really like March at first but she grew on me. I just hope this won't lead to something bad but considering what happened in the first episode, I guess this show likes to pull on your heartstrings so I should get prepared.

Humans have done some stupid, evil ass shit in the name of gods/deities that don't even exist!

Did that creepy old woman seriously choose March as the sacrifice by smelling her? Ridiculous!!

I really like how this episode takes a realistic approach. The whole sacrifice thing, etc, etc.
Sometimes March is super annoying, sometimes she's pitiful.I don't get how people find March adorable at all tbh.
In terms of animation,I don't get how it got a massive drop in quality just after the first epiosde and it really looks like the studio is just using their time and budget on the MC's transformation.

I will die for March. She is my baby. I will die for Lalah and Lisa too because they're both my babies too. I will be their parent and give them everything they want in this world and spoil them rotten. They are so fucking adorable and sweet, I can't believe that they're being rostered as human sacrifices.

That village is so fucked up. The woman who was pretending to be the "daddy" really wanted to save her. She knew for from reason that March was going to get picked. My heart broke into a million pieces when her parents cried because they were helpless. This entire village is under the mercy of this god of theirs. How many children have been sacrificed to this deity?

Love the moments of the boy and March together, she's treating him like a pretend baby boy lol She was so adorable when the boy ate like a dog, I'm surprised she didn't mention anything about him smelling bad because he doesn't know how to relieve himself so he ended up soiling his pants right? Maybe March will have to teach him how to properly use the toilet, or their version of a toilet in this world.

I sometimes wonder about how human sacrifices must feel. Like holy moly.;; I always end up seeing those mummies-- you know the ones. The really well-preserved ones. I mean, one of those kid mummies has grey hairs, indicating that she must have been stressed out. So it's like... golly. that's surely a lot on a person...

I wonder how it will turn out.

Interesting OP, a catchy beat with intriguingly diverse clips from joyful events to some gory ones. Meanwhile, the ED took on a more artistic format with its realistic imagery and partly frantic visuals, all the while having this action-oriented music without any vocals. Certainly, a unique OP and ED as far as anime goes...

Yet again, we are thrown to yet another emotional rollercoaster, being introduced to a young girl named March whose only dream is to grow up and become a mother, now that dream is about to be shattered with her being a sacrifice, only to then cross path with the orb. So far this series really knows how to tackle introducing a new character, their goals and their relationship to another character(s) and March is one such character. Furthermore, balancing the humorous aspect of a story within an ep can be challenging when the underlying theme is so dark and horrific and yet this ep manage to balance these two opposing themes excellently.

As a side note, March is the most human-like little girl I've seen in the past few months in any anime, not your typical loli, but a real human child.

Well damn is this anime going to keep throwing sad things at us? I'm not prepared for that lol.

That regeneration was creepy af but man the animation looked good.

March's a sweet child, she dreams of growing up and being a mother but the dream is soon snatched from her, she's chosen as a sacrifice for a large bear(?) or whatever. She runs and meets the orb now turned into a boy.

I hated how helpless the parents were, they had no choice but to pretend they are honoured and let their child be sacrificed, they literally can't do anything, felt bad hated to watch it. Oneesan was trying to help March but unfortunately ended up getting captured as well, that was sad. The guarding lady seems strong and feels like we are going to see more of her.

I'm glad they managed to add some fun scenes, the human orb is nothing like real humans, he still eats as if he was still a wolf, I wonder if it feels pain.

I liked how March is now seeing herslef as the orb human's mother, part of her dream has come true lol.

Just wanna see more happy March.

5/5 episode.

And dropped. Just like Koe no Katachi, an emotional dramas with intentionally sad scenes mangled by illogical plot elements. Right in the 1st episode it experienced pain for the first time and decided that the wound must be removed only 20 seconds later, but in the next one it kept the wound for 5 lives straight. Why? To "remember" the boy? Yeah nah, it didn't even have emotions let alone intelligence at that point. Another problem is that it didn't eat or DRINK in the beginning of the 1st episode at least for almost 3 days (travelled to the boy's house til night 1, skipped the soup on night 2, only eat the fish head on night 3) but was still fine so I assume it didn't need nourishment (probably because it is an experiment alien), then on episode 2 the narrator straight up said that it didn't get nourishment and so died quickly. How? There are still more problems with the mimic mechanics and the way its "human feeling" is created and maintained, and that's only 2 episodes in.
I'm not usually this critical of anime logic but that's only for comedy or action films, not dramas and especially dramas related to death. If you want to make me feel sorry for the characters, do so with enough logic that I can't immediately think "Why the fuck did you do it?" or "How was that scenario possible in the first place?" because if I'm sorry for the characters I will pull out all of your plot holes and nonsensical mechanics before dropping your film altogether.
so glad someone else brought this up! Cause I do NOT feel for the mc at allll at this point! Is this orb not meant to absorb like everything?! .... guess not any sort of knowledge or understanding?

Ooooo & CLASSIC.., tryin' to sacrifice an "untarnished" maiden!! stfu!
