This feels like watching Detroit Become Human but with the most epic adaptation ever. The story is catching and very deep when it needs to, with emotional charge in almost every episde. Just Tappei Nagatsuki things. Fight was also amazing and greatly animated, and that ending felt like the series could end there.

5/5 in most episodes up to now. Aiming for 9/10 after the end

Amazing action and quite an emotional wrap-up to this two-parter. The background on these sisters felt a little lacking, but they had an interesting dynamic. I was slightly disappointed to see the episode wrap so conclusively. I honestly would've preferred Elizabeth to stick around as a villain for awhile.

The writing is getting better and more complex, but I still can't bring myself to love this brand of heavy-handed, Hollywood blockbuster drama. I still give the episode a solid 4/5, but as the show goes on I can't help but think that a slightly subtler, more GITS-esque approach to it's storytelling would make it a better show.

Anti-AI terrorists using an AI in their attacks? Talk about hypocrisy.

Production values and OST saving the episode once again. Estella's story with her recently introduced twin sister came so out of nowhere I didn't feel anything for them nor for their sacrifice. Not to mention I don't know if I should laugh or cry at Matsumoto seriously wondering why the events weren't going according to the original timeline. I mean, it's not like they did something considerably radical 15 years ago...

bit confused about the experiment and why it "failed". They show 2 birds and then sister #1 wakes up and one bird is dead and there is blood on the ceiling. then they say the experiment failed, but sister #2 body wasn't activated yet. What happened to the bird and what is the purpose of the birds?

and then also what was with the sudden personality change after sister #2 was knocked out? I rewatched the experiment bit but am just as confused as before, someone enlighten me please.

Great episode to conclude the arc! Estella was too good to die in that fashion but at least she seemed to have found solace from it. Touching reunion with her twin sister and the reference with the birds gave it a whole new feel.

Looks like the main antagonist will go down as that "Master" figure and his organisation. So far they've been a a little bit of a funny and nuisance sort of entity but here's to hoping for more context on their part.

Good to see that Vivy finally came out with the truth to the late Momoka-san's sister. Also, great action choreography in that fight! A bit of the camera angles felt ever so slightly iffy but it's an exceedingly job well done from me.

Off to the next arc now!

Its interesting that history didn't go the way Matsumoto predicted he would, especially since Sunrise's crash also has a different outcome this time. I hope the theme of them altering the timeline only for it to not result in a desired change continues because that would be very interesting.

The fight scenes were short but pretty spectacular. WIT is quickly becoming one of my favourite studios.

I'm glad it wasn't Estella after all just like Vivy suspected who was behind the crash. Both sad yet also kind of beautiful end there for Estella and her twin Elizabeth in their first and also sadly last task together T^T.

I am absolutely lost for words with this episode, everything about it was great. Toak once again showing their hatred to androids with being behind the scenes of the Sunrise crash, Beth and Estella's backstory reveal which was absolutely heart wrenching.
The fight scene between Vivy and Beth was amazing, the OST was a banger, and the animation was fluid, amazing work WIT.

Interesting to see Vivy this time accept Matsumoto's combat data, after very clearly denying it the first time. The change of heart, maybe from watching Momoka die or wanting to protect her sister, or both, potentially could be a positive thing to stop the 100 year war.

Beth's backstory was tragic. Again showing human duality, being subjected to more then just neglect after she couldn't meet our requirements, thrown out like trash. The android scrap yard had it's own type of horror, looking and acting more like a graveyard than a normal scrap yard. Beth's anger to humans can be justified, I'm just happy her last moments were with her sister.

Very mixed thoughts about this Toak member, after Vivy saving his sorry ass 15 years ago, he still seems to be hard into the idea of removing Androids from society, however i will say his character development, although seemed subtle, was noticeable. What we could imagine in the time line that led to the 100 year war with the sunrise, the member still used Beth to crash the Sunrise into earth (potentially a city) with the passengers onboard. However in this time line, Vivy saving him previously, gave him potentially a change of heart, this time giving the passengers a chance to escape first, and then crashing the sunrise with no blood shed needed. Simply sending a message.
However, what confuses me is, he still acts aggressively when seeing Vivy, potentially because of her stopping their plan 15 years ago? And Estella stated that the sunrise was falling towards a coastal city. Depending on if you wanna weigh the lives of the people that could of potentially died on the sunrise, to the ones that would die on the coastal city, if it was intentional, then i'd argue this Toak member has not changed at all.

WIT has been nailing these endings, the openness of space that they portrayed so beautifully well in the animation, accompanied by Estella and Beth's singing their last memories together as they descended towards earth in the remains of the sunrise, was truly poetic.
Vivy handing Matsumoto to Momoka's sister was interesting, looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

I don't really like the coincidences in this anime...
1)Vivy's first fan - the girl - dies in a plane crash
2)Estella happens to have a twin sister
3)The sister of a dead girl happens to be on the space-hotel and happens to meet with Vivy on the same day it was supposed to crash!

Odds for these are so ridiculously astronomical that I have a hard time taking the show seriously. Though I still feel the "feels" and don't hate it.

It was good but... How the hell did they miss Vivy while spraying bullets in that corridor at 8:42?! She wasn't even trying to evade, just came straight at them and they fired easily over twenty bullets, at least a few of them should have been bound to hit...

Edit: Also, why is Vivy this strong and agile? Like in ep 2, that piece of concrete weighted definitely at least a few hundred kilograms. Why would they implement such physical capabilities in an android that was only supposed to sing and dance?

So I am torn on this show. I am not hooked yet but as an anime this show is amazing. The animation, the music, the voice acting is amazing. It felt familiar in a weird way so looked up the studio and the creator of the novel. Author made o e of my favorite shows “re:zero” and the studio is responsible for “attack on titan” “Vinland saga” and “seraph of the end” so I will keep on watching

I've just watched this episode yesterday and I love almost everything about it, except the part where Estella exhibits complex emotions and uncertainty about them near the end when her sister Elizabeth becomes 'normal'. But that's something I can accept and definitely appreciate; I just expect more explanation on the 'heart' or 'mind' theme in later episodes.

Seems to me that the guy Vivy saved in episode 2 has an impact on the course of history, hence the earlier hotel's descent.

Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! Imposter

Literally Amogus??!? Kek.

Well, so the imposter is Estella's twin, discarded AI Elizabeth.

Vivy and Beth fight. Girls kick ass. "I will turn you into a calculator." is a great line lol.

The twin has one final moment together in the end, and it is glorious, they stay true to their purpose as humanity's Lifekeepers.

And Vivy returns the teddy bear to the little girl's sister.

Beautiful OP and Estella's song too.

Ok so it seems like they really don't want to alter too much history to be accurate on their predictions which is why they let the plane crash in ep 2.

But it seems like the bears accuracy is already off a smidge. Also being a older model vivy seems to be learning. Reminds me alot of violet ever garden.

I think the mission of the bear will go int he opposite direction. Toak wanted the ship to crash to prove that the AI are not suitable to have rights, but they ended up saving hte humans which in the end does help. In the previous timeline it caused a war so they are trying to prevent a war and maintain peace? what is the true objective of the bear and future and how are they going about it? how are they making decisions and mission for vivy like what do they want? Peace between human and AI? or AI to be destroyed?

I wonder what TOak will do. Lots to think about. this anime is really good
