Really nice final episode, especially the retirement ceremony part. I also liked how the first and the last moments are similar. It's a bit sad to see Alicia retiring though; but I suppose it can't be helped since she's passing the torch to Akari(same like Grandma did to her on Arietta OVA) And although Akari saying the marriage was true kills my headcanon about Alicia's marriage(about it was just a mere rumor and she doesn't marry anyone), but I still think that she doesn't know about it, or she slipped when saying that. |

10/10 I'm usually not too fond of this kind of slice of life, you know, without a heavy take on the psychological side, but this season caught me completely off guard. By The Natural I never expected the pay-off would be THIS good, the character development for the whole cast was handled brilliantly, and these last episodes were just incredibly heartwarming and tearjerking. |

I ended up loving this franchise much more than I expected. Seriously, Origination has got to be one of the most consistently well-presented anime I've seen so far, and I've never been a fan of slice-of-life. I especially love how subtly bittersweet the episodes leading up to 12 and 13 felt. It really did feel like the show was preparing a farewell to its viewers, and this finale was every bit as good as I'd hoped it would be. Bravo. Now I'm just sad it's over... Damn, can't we get just a short OVA about Akari as a tutor? Or a prequel about the Three Water Fairies? I just need some more Aria, dammit! |

The first half of this episode made me glad I stuck with the series. The scene where Alicia left the room got me emotional. It shook my core. It made me content. I don't think I've felt so nostalgic since reading YKK. Totally agree with those of you who mention 12 and 13 as favorites. Do not miss! |

I'm glad I watched Aria. At first I thought "woooah this is so relaxing I can't even finish an episode, I'm already sleeping" but this last season was full of emotions. Thank you it was beautiful ! 9/10 ps : adult Akari is gorgeous <3 |

Just finished Origination and wow, I just cried like a baby throughout that last 2 episodes. Seeing them go through their separate ways were just heartbreaking but I'm happy at the same time as they all achieved their dreams in a way. Also, Ai-chan being Akari's apprentice and Akari mimicking Alicia-san was just pure bliss :) I'm glad I gave it a 2nd chance, this one's definitely one of my favorites now. |

Heh...man just WOW. i loved the Aria Series just starting from Animation to Ending here in Origination was a Journey well made. I loved Alicia's Retirement Ceremony (+1 for making me shed some tears at that scene). Seeing Most of the characters Seeing her off was neat. felt bad for Akatsuki (for obvious reasons) although that is one grope i had with this ending, the fact that we never found out who Alicia Supposedly married, i would at least have liked to have known who it was she was going to marry. or if anything Akatsuki was the one she would marry. But i digress, that probably was for the what i assume is for a whole Akatsuki x Akari Moment especially when he invited her to hang out some time. anyway the scene with an older (and amazingly beautiful) Akari, and an Adorable Ai in an Undine outfit and being Akari's apprentice. Akari imitating Alicia's pose at the table was neat as well. Can't really pick a Favorite character for this series because all of them were enjoyable and its quite hard to pick just one. Overall the series was Amazing and for the ending i might give a 10/10 although for the whole series 9/10. |

And so a most wonderful journey comes to an end. Two years ago I decided to watch a season of Aria during the summer season and I didn't regret my decision one bit. Throughout these three summers I witnessed a magnificent tale unfold, and have found innumerable treasures I will always think of fondly. (No sappy lines allowed!) I have to emphasize how happy I was to see that Ai-chan becoming the new apprentice, I was really hoping this would be the ending moment and I'm 100% fulfilled. 5/5. I think I'll rewatch this series in the distant future. Neo-Venezia always welcomes you back. |

The ending was perfect. Everyone became a Prima (Wohoo!), Alice began as a teacher and left the company (I broke down in tears!) and Aria somehow managed without her and got her own apprentice, which was also her penpal (!!!).¨ I love how they told us about the future of the supporting characters as well. The only problem I have is that Akatsuki never really got anywhere and that we never saw who Alice was married to... Akari x Akatsuki would be an amazing pair (with lots of hints throughout the series), but it never happened... |

Definite 10/10 for me, this series. Cried like a baby for this episode as well as the past few; something I've never done for any other anime. I don't know what to do anymore to stop the tears. T_T Why is it over? I want more! :'( Seeing Ai really didn't have as much of an effect on me as when I saw Alicia, in her retirement ceremony and in her new clothes. And she really did have a ring on her finger when she came to visit Akari with grandma. I hope she's happily married. ^_^ Why did Alicia have to go? She is my favourite. Come backkk. T_T What do I do now? :'( |

HOLY BALLS. Fucking beautiful. Almost cried when Alicia left. And she was just an 'ara ara' girl to me before. But the ending was so happy and beautiful. Akari looks kinda olderwith full hair, not just pigtails lol Origination was an experience from another planet (Aqua planet) compared to the rest. It was totally worth waiting for it. Took me 2 months to get here, watching an episode per day but today I couldn't hold on and marathoned 5. Close to perfection - 10/10. Gonna cry now because it ended. |

What a trip! It almost took me a year to complete (I took my friends' recommendation to "go slow" with it far too literal). When Alicia said she was leaving, and Akari was looking for her, that broke my lil heart! Akira will always be my favourite anyways. Love that woman. Akari is such a sweetheart. And to have Ami as her understudy is the sweetest thing. Anyways, loved this show. Will be sad not to see any more stories from Aqua. |

I want to rate the episode 10/5, and the series 20/10, but MAL only has 5/5 for episode and 10/10 for series. Oh boy, gotta love MAL *sigh* Aaah.. so eventually I reached the last episode... How come I cried while the series' ending is optimistic and very heart-warming? Well, that just shows how beautiful Aria is. Time to get myself more Aria goodness with Natural, Animation, and Arietta. And of course, the upcoming Avvenire. Aaaaah... by far, this is the most beautiful anime series I've ever seen. |

Stop it, you two, are you gonna make me cry? Alicia turning back to look at Aria company... Dat insert song was so perfect... Akari noting everything has changed made my heart ache. In the end, becoming a prima came at a cost, a cast of losing so many precious relations... But she learnt a lot too. It's not like they can't meet any longer. Just things will get busier... and everything begins anew. That being said, I love Akari's confidence. She's so headstrong about this all. How did Al even grow after growing that old? Well, all's good. Akatsuki is falling for Akari for real? I sure hope he is. Alice's reason of motivation is superb,"If we don't get together and play, the world will be destroyed!" I am not sure about the world itself but yeah the heart of many will be, indeed. Athena started singing, kind of perfect. Akira is no. 1 now that others have switched jobs. Alicia is as graceful as always. Akari in that last minute, so beautiful! She is so much like Alicia, in-fact it seems like history is repeating it self. And Ai as her trainee. I want Avvenire so bad now! I hope it continues from orignation, I want more Aria. It can continue forever... This is among my most favorite anime ever now. Really satisfying and heals your heart and teaches you so much... I am gonna miss it a lotttt! Thank you for teaching me so much, Aria... Thank you so much... In the end, Akari = Alicia = Aika = Akira = Alice = Athena. Everyone shines the brightest when they are together, really. |

Cleansing departure to a wonderful cast, I'm so glad that there's suddenly a new series on the horizon of neo-venezia! My only qualms with Aria in its entirety is that it's hopelessly optimistic and rarely delves into the darker side of life. I like seeing both sides of life, and it didn't do well to tap into the more... negative aspects of living that I'd have liked to see. Other then that and a few minor pacing issues that I feel Aika fell victim too, an amazing series. Truly one of the best slice of life series, and one of the best series overall that I've seen :> |

While episode 9 made me cry out of joy, I shed tears here because it all ended. But how peaceful it was! The Undines are the most gracious, natural people I've ever seen in media. Alicia's retirement cermony was absolute majestic and gorgeous, Akari realising she's all on her own now so bittersweet - the happy-go-lucky attitude of her slowly changes into a more serious, professional tone, which breaks my heart and painfully reminds me that every person has to move on eventually... ... And then the cycle continues with Ai. What a ride, what a wonderful series! Aria has so many little things to tell you, so many sweet, meaningful lessons to share. Whenever you're sad or feel miserable, Aria is the heart-balm for you. 10/10, and probably the only series which deserves this rating from me. Tante grazie, Akari, Alicia, all the other people, the makers of this anime and Amano-san! |

While i think it was a good season, i think the autor tried forcing the "nothing stays the same forever" philosphy down our throats. It doesn't make sense how almost every undine decided to just drop their job for something else, and at the same time. The author made sure to break up every couple (couple being apprentice and master). Just felt artificial. The marriage felt off as well, but i guess it fits in the desperate attempt from the author of changing everything in a flash. It seemed as Akari was struggling at the beginning when she was alone, and we know nothing about how she got out of that predicament, if she ever did that is. I think it ended an episode too early. This was a "healing" anime and if you think about it, the ending was as bittersweet as they come, so i don't think such an ending fits the overall atmosphere of the anime. I also didn't like how Akari in the end was a mirrror image of Alicia instead of being herself. I guess i can praise the episode for being emotinally good though. |

It does make sense how the masters had to leave, for example, Alicia had marriage and working in Aria Company would take up a lot of her time. Athena on the other hand has a resonating talent for singing. Akira still works. So they didn't "break up every couple". It was a beautiful conclusion and a perfect way to end the season. Ehh, the pose at the end that resembles Alicia just subtly manifests how much Akari has grown as a person, and as a undine in general from single to prima. Akari has always been herself, one pose doesn't make her a carbon coy of Alicia lol. |

I was expecting the usual episodic series type last episode where there is no closure. One of the better last episodes. Definitely better than the previous two seasons. |

Wasn't expecting soo many feels these last 2 episodes. Couldn't stop the tears from rolling, the flash backs of all their memories in Aria company hit hard. Was an amazing ending that I wasn't expecting. The Aria company tradition of retiring once you've promoted the undine you've been training is kinda harsh. Hope she doesn't do the same to Ai (but I doubt we'll see that far in the future). Not to mention grown up Akari is amazing eye candy. Hope we get to see more of her in Avvenire and not just when she was younger. 10/10 Loved the series |

Alicia's retirement scene was one of the most majestic scenes that I've ever saw, and also one of the most heartbreaking scenes that I saw, heck I even saw her cried like come on, you're the most positive person in Aria universe doing ara-ara every time you don't do this to me just leaving Aria Company especially Akari T_T. Anyway a fcking masterpiece series that I watched so far, kicking Gurren Lagann out of my top favorite series, the stories every single episode is so simple but pretty relaxing but the main point of the series was that majority of the characters are pretty likable, starting from the main trio, to the Senpais to the cats,up to the supporting cast heck I even liked Woody, Cait Sith, Grandma or the old mailman guy, making it feels like every episode has put on a magical ingredient that makes a simple episode be majestic or how should I say this, it makes you feel that you can relate to all these characters and make you feel for them in a way thanks to the character developments that were done in the whole Aria Series. The animation is superb, no quality drop, lastly the music is so marvelous the way they handled BGM just makes some scenes so beautifully executed that makes my feels go under control. Anyway, I'm gonna miss Aika doing hazukashi punchlines, Akari spacing out,Alice doing dekkai comments,Alicia's ara-ara,Athena's singing voice,Akira's strict advice, the character's chibi drawings on every particular scene, Ai's epilogue, main trio's funny and hazukashi-worthy intros, everything that had done in this series for me will surely be missed and will always be on my heart as a SOL addict. Overall a really hidden gem and masterpiece tier SOL anime that I watched so far rated 10/10. Can't wait for the premiere of Avvenire. Edit: Just rewatched the last episode and all I can say is that I'm really satisfied to this conclusion, yeah right I finally accepted Alicia's retirement, Ai being a new apprentice of Akari and a new undine in Aria Company, the main trio moving on with those "enjoyable days" as they become Primas, I'm pretty much satisfied with this even though I'm pretty much open for Avvenire. |

Still can't believe that Alicia is getting married, There are supposed to be pure, virginal, and untainted for the rest of their days. and that Athena changed jobs to become an opera singer. For a really quiet and unassuming show it really throws some curve balls of surprise at you. I can't believe how much better this season was compared to the previous two. I used to a skeptic, I even dropped The Natural for a good 3 years... Honestly i'm quite glad I picked this back up, made me realize that I sincerely liked the entire cast. I guess I was completely blinded by my "this is boring" sentiment back when I watched The Animation. Hell, I even liked President Aria a bit, and I used to hate him a lot. Akari's long hair and more mature looking self was hnnnnnng. Now i'm even excited for Avvenire and that wasn't even on my radar before. :3 |

Best episode ever. From Alicia's departure, to the time skip showing grown up Akari. Full of wonderful moments. Akari's matureness has really made me love her character. She's not afraid of leaving the past happy memories behind, now she can create new ones and begin a new chapter in her life. Alicia getting married didn't surprise me. It had to come at some point. Her retirement was one of the saddest moments in the Aria series but in a good way. Our Snow White has come so far as a Prima. Look at her now, she's got a higher position, wearing office attire, married, and she's still has her Snow White aura. I'm liking her glasses as well, makes her look more mature. Alice being referred to as the "Legendary Prima" was great to hear. And it appears Akira is the only main cast Prima left. Athena pursued another career, Alicia retired. I do wonder how fast the time skip went. 2 yrs, 5 yrs, couple months. I mean Akari looks much older and her hair is quite long now. Anyway, I'll miss the series. One of the very few shows that I plan to rewatch one day. |

I thought I'd be prepared for it this time. I ended up tearing up 4 times and crying twice. The moment in Aria Company when Akari and Alicia are coming to terms with this farewell didn't hold back. It really got me the most when Alicia went to hold Akari, conveying how she's learned so much about the wonder of life from Akari. This was the most vulnerable and emotional Alicia has ever been, I can't even find the right word to describe their relationship. Perhaps beautiful will suffice. And then of course there was the ceremony. Wow wow wow. Every time I thought I'd be able to calm myself down, the feels would hit even harder and so came forth the tears. I started re-watching Aria last January and this has truly been a worthwhile project. Aria had left a big enough impact to make it into my top 10 last time, but this time I've truly fallen in love all over again. Between who I was back then vs who I am now, I feel as though this message of subtle but substantial change means so much more to me. I first watched Aria back when I was at one of the low points in my life. It triggered something within me back then that would only start to bear fruit much later down the road. Watching characters such as Alice grow, it's made me realize how much I've improved and picked myself back up since that time.It reminded me that each day should be used wisely and cherished, because life is a journey through several "one day." The days we spend add up and shape who we are, and it's something I'm truly taking to heart now.' All of my thoughts that I originally posted remain true, but this one in particular feels like it's been emphasized more than ever before thanks to this second run through: Ratohnhaketon said: This part holds especially true, as this re-watch has been nothing short of a sincere delight since the very first episode of Animation. The characters were all likable and I feel like I've personally met and befriended each and every one. There are so many values and ideas to take away from this, but one that I wanted to mention is how Aria took what I often overlook and take for granted and showed just how wonderful and important the small things are. It's definitely encouraged me to start thinking optimistically and looking for the beauty in normal life. I think a promotion to my top 5 is in order. Aria is no longer simply a master craft, it is part of who I am. |

I feel like I've got to rewatch the first season since it's been a long time. I probably will sometime soon. Aria wasn't without it's weak episodes, and this season was no exception (e.g. the neo-burano ep). Though Alice's promotion was a beautifully directed episode, I was more surprised than moved when she was promoted to Prima directly as the anime itself gave very few clues as to her skill. The last episode destroyed me though, and sealed the fact that Akari is easily one of the most likeable protagonists I've ever had the pleasure of watching. It was definitely one of the most incredible final episodes. Akira and Akari are easily the best characters of the show IMO. |

9/10 each season got better than the previous season it was pretty surprising seeing Alicia getting married and Athena changing careers, the Aria company is never going to grow since they all leave. Also nice to see best girl Alice referred to as the "Legendary Prima". A couple of minor gripes I had was Cait Sith never appeared in this season though I didn't like the supernatural parts that much anyway. I also felt the Akiari-Alicia relationship wasn't developed that much at least compared to the other 2 though the ova helped with this. I would of liked to see more Akatsuki as well especially since it's hinted that he had feelings for Akari at the end and there was no real conclusion to that. |
