I thought it was interesting to see how what the Moms in training go through. I haven't been this captivated by an anime in a long time, I have so many questions about the world this series takes place in now. This episode was great, Thursday can't come soon enough >-<

What a intense episode!

Krone's flashback was really nice to see, we saw how she turned who she were, and the dead scene was well directed!

Wow, Mama is creepy, i felt really bad for Emma, one of the most intenses by far!
Norman will have her shpment tomorrow, i am looking forward to see what will happen!

Damn that confrontation by mama was scary! And that leg must have hurt a lot. Emma the fearless and Norman is gonna get shipped. Too bad Krone had died she actually wanted them to escape.

Made me feel a little bad for sister Krone :(. When the flower was struck into her body, it made me think that maybe the flower sucks away all the blood in the body? It kinda makes me think that the demons only feast on the flowers after they've fully bloomed, but I guess we shall see.

Mama don't mess around fellas.

Well, the best character died..r.i.p Sister Krone, but her death was poorly made. I mean why introduce how the mothers are raised here, it hindered the moment quite a bit. They just kept cutting back and forth between the intense scene and the exposition, that kind of pacing annoys me. Which is especially jarring since most of the series has great directing. For instance, when Norman was walking through the narrow hallways in the 2nd episode(I think?), was really suspenseful, and this show has tons of scenes exactly like that. You also have creative directing, like when the camera turned into a clock swaying back and forth.

Emma's leg breaking did leave an impact though. That sound effect off screen(Cruuunnch), and what it means to their escape, really left me feeling hopeless. I knew something was coming as Emma with her noodle arms wasn't going to be able to do anything to mom, but we never saw the mom character being that openly violent. In that way, I was caught off guard and generally surprised.

I see everyone else having such a strong reaction as well, so Neverland is definitely doing something right. I think that has a lot to do with the set-up, the first episode establishes the reasons outside of the obvious why they would want to see the outside world(like wanting to wear all kinds of clothes or seeing a giraffe), so it shines a light on what they are lacking in their life. The first episode also establishes the attachment the characters had to the orphanage quite well as most of it is spent just watching the kids enjoy their life inside it. Lastly, we get to see the gruesome fate of the children if they fail to escape. I'm nervous not because I care about the main characters, but more so the ideas and understanding of the situation. The villains and directing is the show's strong suit, so that also enhances the feeling quite a bit as well.

She was going to get transferred to another one of those orphanages as a mom but it turned out to be a trap set by both Isabella and Grandma to get rid of Krone trying to snitch on her and overthrow her position as Mom of the Grace Field House.

Before she got killed by that giant demon, her life flashed before her eyes and showed us that she had gone through bigger struggles than what the kids had been through so far. It's pretty sad that she had to go especially after rooting for them to successfully
escape and destroy that shitty world.

Isabella found out that Ray was a double agent and cast him aside, she brutally broke Emma's leg to prevent them from escaping, Norman's shipment date was actually determined to be set for the next day, and Don and Gilda will eventually get their punishments too for collaborating with them. It's as if every single bit of their plans had fallen down the drain and it also looks like a lot of the older kids who weren't directly informed of the real situation had realized the hopelessness of what just happened.

Wow what an intense episode. Pretty much concur with others comments. As an aside, I sort of feel like this is treading into some vegan propaganda though. The bit at the end with Mama kind of made me feel like she was comparing the farm scenario in the anime to the ethical farming movement. Of course, human complexity and a cow or pigs complexity are vastly different but it caught my attention. Still going to eat my bacon but its interesting to see where anime/manga takes an ongoing debate and puts it out there.

The tension in this episode was phenomenal, i also love how well this anime is animated its a pure joy to watch and at the same time, its insane as fuck, not knowing anything about it and just jumping into it and now seeing THIS type of this going down, man im reading the manga, that Krone death scene was done amazingly

WE'RE IN THE ENDGAME NOW!

Well that ESCALATED. Everything is out in the open now. The tension remains despite that, having merely shifted in nature.

-That Krone flashback was well done, particularly with the use of the music. Dramatic melancholy and dread. Unfortunate for her that the Grandma was in on Isabella's objective.

-Isabella knew about their plot the entire time O_o

-EMMA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I can see this action coming back to really hurt Isabella... With things set in motion like this, the only way they can escape is if they immobilize Isabella and then just do a jailbreak. Only problem is will they be able to come up with a way of getting Emma up?

-NORMAN NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. What now?

After all of the tense buildup, shit really hit the fan here. Mom shows that she's thinking two steps ahead of everyone else and simultaneously fucks over Krone, Emma, Ray, and Norman. Escape seems impossible at this point.

Plus holy shit the music was extremely well done in this episode in particular.

Hoooooly fuuuuuck!!! This ep is downright insane!!!

Grandma was backing up Isabelle since Isabelle is her pawn, and so Krone is set up to die to stop her interfering ever again. Just as she hoped and aided the children to escape. TBH I don't feel pity for her when she was about to die, mostly because of the fact that she seems to be just another enemy from another faction. But wow okay, the flashbacks of Krone growing up from a child to an adult actually made me feel sad for her.

BIG FUCKING NEWS
Isabelle knew that Rey has been a traitor all this time and she knew that the 5 children knew the truth about their fate.
On top of that, she locked Rey to slow him down, broke and immobilize the most athletic child, Emma and told Norman his date of being shipped.

This is such a sudden turn of event, no way in hell did Rey or Norman escape this situation there in. Except if they made a plan beforehand...

You know I never knew why but ever since I read the manga I got quite fond of Krone.

That's why again I feel sad, so sad.
I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something.

People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English.

great ep but wow did she piss me off this ep by just how she was acting acting like she cared saying all that dumb shit and such

of course emma got over powered her fault on that but nothing else could really do and then for norman to be the one that gets shipped wow but at the same time he seemed like the one to be taken out first of the main 3 just had that feel about him

a lot of what they was doing backfired but im hoping shes the next to get killed cause fuck her

also as for Krone it really sucks what happened to her and her life she actually grew on me and i liked her as a character but i knew something was gonna happen to her sooner or later

anyway great ep

In Grandma's flashback, could there be a possibility that girl over the wall was Isabella who tried to escape? Brought back by Grandma who was once a Mama and now they're working together? She held her hand out to Emma in the same fashion too. Except Emma didn't buy it, ofc.

It didn't cross our minds that Isabella would harm the fodder, eh? Poor Emma's leg :'( I've never broken a bone, but I know the pain is brutal.

No idea what will happen next, Isabelle has them all under control and Norman gonna be the next main dish lol

THAT'S what I'm talking about! Someone in the first page of the discussion was wondering why all the kids that don't know about the escape had such a strong reaction to seeing Emma's leg being broken- I was just thinking about the same thing. I guess it would make sense they would react like that when they've never seen someone wailing in agony before. It would be way more visceral than anything they've ever been exposed to. And outside more injuries like that are bound to pop up, with no one to tend to the wounds! Emma's leg really disrupts their plans, I'm getting more interested in how this season is gonna wrap up.

I had a slight miscalculation. Krone's elimination was not Ray's doing. He tried to bait her into obtaining the evidence that'll take Isabella down but Isabella has gotten way too wary of Krone at this point, she just decided to not take any chances and take her down. R.I.P Krone, she had a very twisted idea of living the most of her life but ultimately was a victim of the situation that was imposed on her.

In Krone's flashback when we saw the martial arts training, I had figured that Isabella had similar, maybe even more extensive training than Krone did and well later on the episode my suspicions were confirmed. Ouch, that must've hurt.

The suspense is killing me! I was gonna watch 4 episodes a day and finish it in 3 days but I can't stop now.

This episode was fucked up... genuinely fucked up. One can't blame Krona for being who she was, knowing from adolescence what kind of world she lives in and what she was being groomed into. Man, this is fucked.

Everything suddenly seems hopeless for our central cast, too. :X
