The story isn't meant to be unpredictable. The opening gives a hint of who the winner is and a glimpse of what each character does/can do. |

| it's gonna be a problem if i like the characters, because a lot of them are already dying/dead. miss the bird, though i know that (or have a feeling) she was probably under the influence of the monkey's peaceful manipulation or whatever, i felt that it was sweet ?? to die for monkey. wish there was more of her backstory though, was interesting in the beginning with the lab tests etc. |
| Niwatori's backstory was great. I was expecting her to die in this episode because she got way too damn cocky. I knew that her trying to betray another person's trust wasn't going to work again, but I was damn sad when I saw how Ox killed her. I thought it was fitting he did go for her eyes first since she has the eye of the bird ability, but it was still damn sad. 10/10 death, especially when she gave her birds the okay to eat her after she was almost fully dead. I am not convinced that Horse is dead. We did not see Ox fully kill him on-screen yet, and he does have great defensive abilities. I'm thinking that Ox probably sliced open his stomach with Ox's sword and then just took the poison gem out, leaving Horse for dead. I think Horse will probably come back later for revenge, albeit bloody and battered. I think his defensive abilities will be able to keep him from fully dying. I also wanted to point out how many times Chicken and Dog mention that they've seen Nezumi before. I think it is highly probable that there is a time loop where the Juuni Taisen repeated (most likely because Nezumi used his winner's wish last time to turn back time and do it over again because of some unfinished business.) I don't think it's a coincidence that it's brought up multiple times that people know Nezumi from somewhere. I hope they bring this issue up again. I was happy that Chicken didn't kill the Monkey in this episode. It seems like her One Man Army drug backfired on her because of Monkey's great negotiating skills/honest/earnestness. I think Monkey might be around a few episodes because she's an important character for the story. Also, I still think Nezumi was the previous winner and that he wants to keep Monkey safe. I hope she sticks around for a few more episodes. |

| Boring now that Chicken is gone. Her backstory was tragic and fairly unexpected. I can only guess the reason why she wasn't acting like herself was because Monkey slipped something in her drink, or used some kind of power to control Chicken's attitude. Becuase Monkey has a history of talking down wars, this is most likely the case. Until I see Horse dead on screen, he's still alive. Still pretty meh about this show. |

I mean, I didn't want to think so, since Snake is in the ED and he died first before this all started. But the ED follows the Chinese Zodiac order in reverse and the order is shown in the ED as: boar - died, episode 1 dog - died, episode 2 chicken - died, episode 3 monkey - will most likely die next in episode 4 sheep horse (it wasn't shown whether he was killed by Ox, so I presume he's still alive since it was revealed he has Ironclad defenses, but we'll see) snake (I'm only guessing it's Snake because of the Chinese Zodiac reverse order but since he's the dragon's twin, I can't tell for sure. I know he's been decapitated but since he's a walking dead, I'm guessing he'll be like boar and gets taken out of the game permanently in this order) dragon (same goes with Dragon, following reverse order of the Chinese Zodiac) rabbit tiger ox rat Not sure how solid this theory is but we'll probably see if the series does follow this pattern of who dies next in 2 or 3 more episodes. |

| I knew once Dog said "she must have been forced into this" that something was up with Chicken. I like the way the show is shifting focus from character to character though so I kind of anticipated that she was going to die anyway. I hope we get to see more about Ox soon but I bet he is going to come up last or at least closer to the end |

| Damn it, Damn it, Damn it... guess i was right about the backstory means death. Next week is Monkey centered and I only hope that they don't kill her pleeeeaassee!!! Not yet though. The killing id no issue but it's too sudden. Still sticking with the show though. |

| The episode title was the biggest spoiler so far. They kind of wasted Chicken to show how strong Ox is. Ox is pretty boring, flamboyant, super uber warrior. Nothing interesting to say about him - so far. Chicken backstory was interesting. It is pretty obvious that everyone here is scum, so I expected this. |

| I don't usually mind if things are predictable, but I'm not a huge fan when things confirm it bluntly. I'm just trying to enjoy this as short stories on each character and not worry about it too much for now ^^; |

| Meh, I wanted the crazy girl to survive... not sure who to root for now, maybe Tiger and Snake are interesting enough but right now the characters I found interesting are dead. Oh and I hope they break this pattern of backstory then death because I do not like shows that are predictable unless its comedy. |

| argh apart from the deaths it's such a solid show! I'm hoping they are just leading me into a false sense of security so I'm expecting who to die and then it will change! At least that's my hope..... monkey is definitely close to taking number one spot for my favourite character, but it would be stupid to think that all is what it seems..... special shout out for the opening theme music, never been one for OP's and ED's but I've actually kept the OP on and find it super catchy, nice bonus for me there too! If they break the cycle and don't make the deaths so predictable then the show will become so so much better!! |
| For horse, as far as I'm concerned, no body = not dead. It was very predictible Chicken would die this epi (both from the title and the heavy focus on her) but I didn't really mind at all. |
