| They just couldn't make more 00s rom-com anime. An absolutely grotesque reason to push male and female leads together, the excess of male lead's tsunderness flying into space, Straight man Male lead, autistic kuudere, etc. For complete bingo, the only things missing are androgynous characters (ironic, but VA voiced the rather famous ikemen onna at the beginning of her career) and meta humor. |

| i actually found this funny af. can’t wait to see where it goes. the comedic timing was almost perfect. we all need something silly like this once in a while, hoping it doesn’t go downhill |

| And finally the new season begins, at least for me, with this show. This seemed like my kind of show and yeah, it was as much fun as I expected so that's a great start. That said, I am curious. This looks like a typical harem but with the couple already established from the beginning, unless you're telling me the MC can marry more than one, isn't the harem part pointless? Or at least loses interest in that sense. I don't know, maybe it's just me seeing that I'm probably going to like the other two girls more than the FMC xD. Not that I dislike Akane though. Looking forward to more. |

Another one of those arranged marriages due to "circumstances". Fall 2024 had 365 Days to the Wedding and we got this for the season, although it takes place at high school.
Haven't read the source material for this so but they definitely tried to make the female cast look cute, especially Akane. Might take awhile to get used to her fiesty personality. She and Saito's character chemistry is all over the place lmao, but so far it more of cartoony humor with the goofy expressions. Might be a fun anime but I expect a lot of misunderstandings and rom-com fluff.

| I found out about this anime from instagram edits with cute girls. And damn. I like visual style and girls are cute, but... The cliched plot with marriage, harem and worst of all - these constant squabbles with screams and exaggerated reactions. I watched and thought "so i have to watch at this for 12 episodes? No thanks" This is one of those animes that is better watched as edits with music. Although its nice to know that harems are still alive. Brings back memories of 2010s. |

The 2nd YouTube series to get the AniManga treatment and its eventual anime adaptation, novelist Seiju Amano's Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta. a.k.a I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class, has been the rom-com show I have anticipated since reading the manga adaptation of the LN for quite some time.
=LOVE's OP is just as every bit idol-ish in their songs, it's actually good. The ED by the 3 lead female VAs is decent, if not bubbly.
This is exactly like Kakkou na Iinazuke a.k.a A Couple of Cuckoos, but focusing on the love-hate relationship of Saito Hojo and Akane Sakuramori being archnemeses in school, their drama witnessed by the former's close sister of Shise and the latter's best friend of Himari Ishikura, and forced by their grandparents of the former's Hojo Group's head of 60-year-old Tenryu and the latter's love interest of widow Chiyo to get matchmaked to one another, since they practically did the same towards each other. And if Saito doesn't agree to the deal, a lone lame dog will take over the Hojo Group, he's basically cornered from the get-go. All of this, with 3 days to decide altogether, it's quite the threat, even with advice from a best friend and a brocon who understands her older brother best...and the path of the wise is on.
Of course, what's the best way to prove their marriage, then to have their grandparents (on their own honeymoon) give them a house of their very own, and it's packed to the brim of an expensive house just for the purpose, with all their belongings and legal agreements settled on the whim. This does not slide well on the newlyweds with their various pet peeves, especially the former clearly wanting to draw the line between each other when it comes to the sexual stuff, which she can be quite excessive with. And their first night together with THE only one bed, the initmacy starting from there, and this secret MUST never be exposed.
How would Saito and Akane survive their improptu marriage wedlock? That's the life they need to anticipate next.
The usual Studio Gokumi X AXsiZ collab production getting the Aniplex budget treatment, it looked slightly better than what I was expecting.
This rom-com may look typical, but it's every bit just as fun as I'd hoped. Hope the anime can live up to the source material.

| Yet another anime where the characters are forced to get married due to an event. We're shown Akane (female lead) and Saito (male lead), who at school always argue with each other every day, citing feelings of hatred. One day after school, Saito received a call from Tenryu, his grandfather, who wanted to take him to a place that wasn't mentioned at all. Upon arriving at the location, it seems that Saito was told to wait outside for a while, or perhaps wait for a third party. And, you know what? The party, or more precisely the third person, is Akane. What do they usually do when they meet each other? Yup, they definitely argue, expressing how much they hate each other. After some time, Tenryu with his luxurious car, came to the location with Chiyo, Akane's grandmother. Surely Saito and Akane were surprised. The grandparents invited Akane and Saito to come with them. They all arrived at a place where they literally just ate with Japanese customs. Well, that's not really the point. Long story short, the grandparents must have wanted to convey something to the two of them. The message was very short, which in English would only be two words: "Get married". Previously Akane and Saito were already surprised to see each other, even more so now. Without a clear and reasonable explanation, they were kind of forced to get married. However, the decision was still in their hands. They were given three days to think of the right answer, or in essence make a decision. Three days passed, they had to tell the decision they had made. Honestly, it was quite unexpected that they would decide to get married. No, not just one party, even both of them agreed to the marriage. Hearing their decision, the grandparents were certainly happy. They decided that Akane and Saito should live together in a big new house, bought by Tenryu. And, guess what? In the entire house, there was only one bed! This meant they had to share one relatively small bed, for the two of them. Let's just watch how Akane and Saito deal with this, and continue their days as usual, especially at school (they are still high school students). |

| First half of this episode was pretty funny! The setup for the premise was even dumber than I expected, but given the title I didn't come into this wanting something intellectual. Around the halfway point I had to pause it to take care of my cat (not a euphemism, I swear!), and when I watched the second half I was just...bored? It was almost like once I had time to think about what I was watching, I realized it wasn't all that great. I think the issue going forward will be that, although the joke the show has to tell is funny, it only has the one joke. No disrespect to my subbed purists, but this may also be one of those shows that is even more hilarious with a dub cast that ratchets the craziness up even higher than the source material. I'll probably stick this one out since Winter 2025 doesn't seem to be a deep season, but I sure hope there are some more interesting developments as we go along. |
| Quite the enjoyable first episode. The girl is an absolute nutcase and I love it. I worry though that this will have that stupid kind of dramatic moment at almost the ending all rom-coms have. I will have to wait and see... |

| I'm 100% certain the guy that Himari-san likes is our MC and the Op loosely seemed to back it up? That's the vibe I got, lol. It's always these main characters, I swear... Akane-san's delusions were hilarious and too bad, our Saito-kun can hardly keep up. Badass grandpa and granny though, wasn't expecting her to come clean on their relationship without even being directly asked about it. |
