I guess, it could be how I have become in life over the years, through bad or good times, I really didn’t care anymore about what people said or did to me, I just wanted to remain myself, without anyone telling me to change or be different.
My stubbornness to remain true to myself, could be the problem here.

I don't think it's that deep that you have to deny reality. It's like daydreaming.
I don't think self-inserting is becoming like someone else. It's just being able to see yourself in that situation and imagining it. I don't think it's literally becoming exactly like that character.
| @Spleefy Well I stopped daydreaming a long time ago, honestly, I rarely dream dreams at night anymore too. All I have is reality, which can be tough, so I watch anime because it is fun, not to insert myself into them, it is just entertaining. to see the characters on the screen in their now stories. It helps me calm down and relax, takes my mind off things I have to deal with in my day to day life. |

| @Spleefy I think I can understand what you mean more now, so thank you. However, I have never done this. I have never related to any MC, I sometimes can relate to something they went through, if I did myself. As to romance, I never had one, no one has ever confessed to me, and I rarely spend my time thinking about that. I do watch romance anime, but most the time it doesn't makes sense to me, it so far beyond my comprehension. Anyways, I appreciate the conversation and you taking the time to explain. |

It's definitely one of the funniest), Second Life Ranker (has similar necromancy abilities as in SL, but I prefer this one over SL. Has a lot of twists and turns in it and is better written imo. Though, I've read far more of the webnovel then the manhwa, tbh), Return of the Mount Hua Sect (again, very funny), Trash of the Count's Family (this was a bit of slow start, but was funny how the MC does everything he can so he can laze around and be out of the main story, but the more he does the more he gets involved lol), Murim Login (if it's not obvious by now, I like to laugh lol), The Story of a Low-Rank Soldier Becoming a Monarch (this is like the Kingdom anime where the art is questionable, but the story is gold), Kill the Hero (MC has necromancy power, but this is a time-travel revenge story), Leveling With the Gods (bears some similarity to Second Life Ranker, but just a bit when it comes to the tower), Overgeared (for the hilarity. And, this is another case of I've read more of the webnovel then the manhwa), SSS Class Suicide Hunter (once you get over the fact that the MC is a tad unhinged in the beginning lol), and Volcanic Age (this was my first introduction to a Murim manhwa. It's not as well written as some of the others I've read, but it's a time-travel second chance one and I adore those so...). I left out all the shoujo-ish type manhwa and the many, many, many villainess series that I love lol, but these are some of my favorite ones. Not all of them are the best written, but they are still some of the most entertaining ones, imo. Hope this is what you meant when you were looking for recommendations. |

| While it's well-written (at least by my standards, but maybe not somebody else's), like others are saying it's not considered an isekai. The characters are not living their lives in another world, and they simply do quests in another world. Nevertheless, like with all shows, it will vary from person to person. |

There is a very wide range where you can land on it so a medical test is usually needed which can take time. That said what you describe are typical markers and my best tip is to look for desciptions online. There are some famous people that have come out about it like anthony hopkins, silence of the lambs guy and they desribe it fairly well. I see, thanks for the information and help. | The writing doesn't feel good just not exceptionally bad. Only good thing is the MC gets his ass kicked a lot which is more interesting to watch than someone always dodging every attack or otherwise not taking damage. It still just uses dumb game mechanics. It's entertaining though at least to me but that's it. |
