this leave a bad taste in my mouth, while i do like veldora, this is not how you end a series. i cannot think anything else other than they failed to meet the deadline and had no choice but to resort to this filler. |

Considering that they have a whole second season in the works, and that 2 episodes would have been too short to complete any of the upcoming arcs, I'd say the fillers did their job in "filling in the time" and acting as a promo to the next season. Overall I'd say the anime was alright, started slowly like the LN. A lot of stuff got switched around to make things more lighthearted, though I wish they'd show a bit of the badassery from the LN/WN this season, I can wait for it. They've set it up real nice so 2nd season will be all action packed. More exciting things will come, we haven't even seen Rimuru's true form yet. They only teased the likes of Baretta and Diablo, and I still haven't had my labyrinth Disneyland yet! |

I just saw the first 10 episodes of shield hero but that was so meh that i had to drop it. This one has an interesting world with an interesting plot (sid meier's civilization anyone) with a cool mc as a slime and very cool side characters (my fav is gobuta for obvious reasons). Anyway giving it a 8/10 for the season, definitely one of the best new shows that came out in 2018 with rascal does not dream of bunny girl. It's very entertaining and i can't wait for next year to see how slime and his kingdom fare. Shield hero is worse, but both of them are no different from your trash isekai. Neither of them have anything going for them. |

I think maybe they should've swapped around episode 24 and 25 to end the season on a higher note but nevertheless there's really no issue. Overall, I thought this was a pretty good isekai. Definitely miles above some of it's other brethren. What I think worked really well for Slime especially in the first half is how instead of trying to 'deconstruct' or try something new just ran with isekai tropes as such. They took all the tropes and just made it really pleasant to watch. I'm with a couple of other people in agreeing that the second half suffered a bit and wasn't nearly as interesting as the first, especially the final arc of this season but I thought the Shizu episode was great. All the character were pretty likable and production was pretty good so all in all this was a really nice entertaining show. 8/10, Looking forward to S2. |

I definitely needed that recap low key. It was very cool, I was always interested in what the dragon was doing, like if he was a spirit or if he was just sitting alone again. But it was just a ok end to the show, I greedily wanted more Rimuru. |

What a way to end the anime xD Probably the worst episode hahaha but no worries because it doesn't affect me, because it was more than obvious that the anime ended at episode 23. Won't say much because i already commented about my enjoyment in the eps 23. I'm glad that we have another season announced, glad this anime did well. 8/10 |

YIKES! Ending it with a recap episode. Shame. I wanted to see more side story of a tsundere dragon , not a recap episode. Anyway: first half of the show was decent. Then this anime started to become a disaster. |

What an extra fun and good summary of this great first season. Verudora is great and very funny 😂. He started playing Shogi with Ifrit, who would say it? I never imagined that relationship. LOL Regarding Shizu's apprentice, I wonder if she will become an enemy. According to Ifrit, it is very powerful. Time passed quickly, I still remember the first chapter. I knew it would be a great anime since I saw it. It was true, I was thrilled with each episode, it became one of my favorites and I consider it the best anime I've seen. I loved 😁 9/10. And what a great joy I felt when I heard the news that the Second Season of this anime has been confirmed. Simply, great. I will be waiting for you with many anxieties, I know it will be full of surprises 😁. "He considers them his friends" "He accepts them regardless of race and gives them a home." What a great protagonist Rimuru is, is one of the reasons why I love this anime. Great story, good characters and an incredible animation. |

If this is the last episode of the first season (25 one according to MAL) then why is their another entry for this episode : https://myanimelist.net/anime/39607/Tensei_shitara_Slime_Datta_Ken_-_Kanwa__Verudora_Nikki All in all I actually liked this because we never got to see Veldora like ever, so it was great to here his and Ifrit's banter and slowly becomes friends. I knew that the actual story ended at 23 and I knew this had something to do with Veldora so I am not that bitter, I do understand why people are because we just got a beautiful recap(AMV style) in episode 23. Ok I didn't think I would miss this after it ended but already I do feel something is missing. (I gave it a 9/10 just because this is the best Isekai I've seen) |

Whoever have the idea to put a recap in the last episode of any anime should be punished, i clearly not enjoy it at all, at least they should put something intriguing to build up people expectation for the 2nd season.. 1/5 for this episode 7/10 for overall of the anime |

What a sh-tty way to end a 25 episode season. The Verudora Dragon diarybonus material in the manga was a fun read, but I didn't want the final episode of the anime to be just that and 100% recaps. They should just have ended it with Episode 24 if they weren't going to add more preview for the next season. Recap episodes should occur 1/4 or 1/2 way through the season. We shouldn't have a recap season finale. WTF? What a f-tard episode. I want to grab whoever was responsible and slap them in the face a few times. |

They should have used this episode to better flesh out the main story instead of skipping stuff. They did tho, they announced that Episode 24 is going to be an anime original with Shizu and Diablo as the main character and that Episode 25 would be Veldora's Diary (which is basically side-stories about Veldora and Ifrit and what they were doing inside Rimuru) |

Da Fack did I just watch? When I read that this episode was Verudora focused, I thought he would talk about his past life or something. Not this cheap crap. Why do this? They should have axed this episode. Nobody asked for this. Now I'm not sure if I should give it a 7/10 or 8/10. I really dislike how the director handled the second cour of this series. First half was a 9/10 and love it a lot. Second half was just atrocious. |

Huh... guess this is the end? Not quite the way I'd choose to end off the series. In any case, not sure how the source material was structured and if the anime was a faithful adaptation. I was under the impression this was going to be a peaceful slower paced series at the start (which was nice in its own way), but it went away from that and started up building up the demons lords. Yet till the end after 24 episodes, there really isn't an established antagonist to Rimuru that we know much about. Not going to hold too much against it since it does have a season 2 and won't leave us hanging in that regard. But since it's not exactly a relaxing chill paced show nor do we really have a grasp on the overarching story and the main antagonist, it's hard to place the finger on how I feel about it. |

Veldoya is just too much of a tsundere. XD The way him and Ifrit interacted was just so much like a couple meeting for the first time and getting it on. That touch between the two like, "Ah so warm" and "It tickles". Multitasking to the finest be like watching his kid grow up in Rimuru and playing shogi on the sides and on the go with analyzing the prison(so he says XD) was the true parent feeling. All over, a great reminiscence for the whole show. |

Also the main character is quite engaging and the fact he doesn't change from his past life makes him mch better than most mc's in isekai shows, he is much more interesting to watch. His predicament as a slime adds to that. The side characters are also very fun to watch and interesting. All of this from the world that keeps growing to the main plot to the various characters. All of this adds as to why this show is easily one of the better isekai shows out there. So yeah I don't agree with you at all And can people stop criticizing the show for skipping some manga details, it's an adaptation not a panel to panel recreation. Like really, that's your biggest criticism of the show??? I'd rather have a show that tries something different than the manga and fails than something that is a carbon copy and fails. |

If I would make the promise to punch you in the face with one week anticipation and as soon as the week has passed I actually punch you in the face, would you be okay with me saying "hey I warned you, what did you expect?" cmon mate u r not making any sense! its ep 24.5 and ppl are upset after watching it bcuz it was a recap! but we already knew that its gonna be a recap! if u dont like it just dont watch it! it was a Ova or whatever! What do you mean I'm not making any sense? it's a threat stablished with plenty of time and the one getting the punch would obviously get upset. I could swap the setting with a goverment announcing a new tax with a 6 month notice and people would still be upset once they reached the dateline and be forced to pay the taxes. No one likes taxes and at the same time, no one likes recaps becase they are unnecesary and a season finale it's a terrible choice by the production staff. They could just ended it on episode 24 or better yet use that airing slot to add one more episode to the final arc with Shizu's kids and push over episode 24 as a finale episode 25. Why are fanboys like you so butthurt that they don't want to hear negative or contrairan opinions? "it's gonna be a recap, just don't watch it" of course people are going to watch it AND JUDGE IT, it's in our right of freedom of speech. Probably the funniest or lamest I should say, is how YOU claim that you're ok with different opinions, but here you are, whinning and moaning like a little kid because others didn't like an expected recap vipergod said: CodeBlazeFate said: vipergod said: CodeBlazeFate said: ThatShiny_Hex said: You're talking to the guy who made the post he linked primarily in response to the Bunny Girl incident lolHey OP, opinions exist. If you don't know, bunny girl had the same fate while having a score of >8.5 i partially agree with what he is stating, maybe not true for every review but look at this dude for example(from main page of slime reviews): https://myanimelist.net/profile/RebelPanda gave slime a 3/10 ,Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso one of the best series ever that even other mangakas liked a 3/10 , re:zero 3/10 ,Kimi no Na wa. 3/10 meanwhile things like tiger&bunny was a 9/10 for him/her! cmon u want me to believe it is REAL reviewing? i can understand that ppl have different taste but giving all high-scored popular series a 1/10 meanwhile giving average or crappa series a10/10 is not normal! if u want i can show u some of this lowscore reviews(not talking about this guy specifically) from popular series and prove they didn't even watch the series! cuz they are talking about some shit that didnt even happen in the series! Bruh fuck KNMW and Re:Zero; those pieces of shit deserve it. Also, he's still the same guy that gave Houseki no Kuni a 10, Violet Evergarden an 8, Yuru Camp an 8, Fate/Zero a 9, Code Geass a 7, and Devilman (piece of shit) Crybaby an 8. He clearly isn't just hating on popular anime just cuz they're popular. Also, he gave KMNW a 5, not a 3. Still, chill. Plus, that mentality is literally an elitist mentality of "how dare you downvote the shows I like but like this stuff I consider garbage". well as said i have no problems with different opinions but some times i see patterns which is really weird . this dude was the first bad reviews in slime page but i can give u much better examples! ill make it clear once again im not saying all bad review on popular shows are fake but some certainly are fake. |

Oh, good. Now it makes more sense and won't annoy those who watched it just to complete the series as it can just be skipped. Even I would have preffered to watch it later on separately, when I forgot what the season was about. As for the episode itself it was fine, as a recap it was even really good becase most of recaps just show you what you already saw, here we have at least some development of Veldora and Ifrit, pity it's just an audio recorded conversation, but still. |
