A better explanation isn't even plot-related. In real life, there are such people who are predisposed to exploiting others for their own gain or their bad habits arise from poor parenting. In the 12th episode, it is implied that Malty is extremely jealous of Melty being next in line even though the former is the elder sister. |

| I can't hate her because I don't understand her motivations to sabotage Naofumi all the time, besides she seems to be the kind of character that is bad because yes and that is made to be hated by the audience, so I don't care about her |

| I'd say she's hated as she's willing to destroy anything to get her own way. As seen in the latest EP she was even willing to take out her sister just to be next in line to the throne. She also manipulates people around her to get what she wants, and is spoilt as hell. |

| The answer is simple. We're meant to hate her. She is a one dimensional character that we're meant to hate. She's just evil because the readers need someone to project their hate onto. Like, there is no reason why she's evil. She's just evil. We don't know why she did what she did, she just did it. She's a terribly written character. Though that's most characters in this anime. This anime doesn't exactly have nuance or subtlety. It's very obvious and blunt. If you're meant to hate someone, you'll hate them. If you're meant to like them, then they're slobbing on the MC's dick. |
