Whelp....I lost massive respect for Elias this episode. But I do understand where he is coming from. Elias just doesn't have the morals and empathy that humans have.
Also disappointed in Ruth. Thought Ruth would choose to disagree due to the familiar emotional bond. Surely he would have known how much sacrificing Stella, one of Chise's only friends, would have hurt Chise.

Jesus christ.. really? Elias for such a petty reason and then that unnecessary misunderstanding. Also Chise's to blame here too, should've been patient enough to hear counter argument but no she went with the fist, and then got herself caught later on obviously.

Pretty frustrating episode.

I feel really bad and sad for Stella who doesn't know anything about this and gets possessed by Cartaphilus.

I can understand why Chise is angry and I'm honestly upset with Elias' decision but at the same time I can also understand why Elias did it.

And they just agreed they'd do this together. Interesting how clear minded Elias was on WHO to target. Chise was quick on the uptake too. It's understandable with no other options to keep her alive. But they didn't take her feelings into account
(and Chise being pissed off is scary af)

A dark episode where Chise's condition cannot be cured even by the witches. So Elias tries to use Stella's life as a way to lift the curse but he was interrupted by Chise. Stella was possessed by the sorcerror Joseph who took Chise away.

The mage was an idiot, he wanted to do things hidden from Chise. Now she'll do rash things without a second thought... Disappointed in Huth.

Don't think I've ever seen a character so self-sacrificial that it actively causes problems for others, so much so that it impacts the plot. I've seen characters before whom are magnets for trouble, actively seek trouble, or trouble incarnate, but Chise really is something special. It seems like her first instinct is to cause harm to herself for the sake of others. Even if there's a safer option, even if others are actively telling her that causing self-harm would have terrible ripple effects, even if causing self-harm would actually cause more problems in the long term for Chise and everyone else, Chise's first instinct seems to always be self-sacrifice. I can understand that Chise lacks self-worth and constantly thinks she has to suffer for the sake of others in order to remain the world. I absolutely get that, but it's always frustrating.
