| Tbh, I love how they continosly use the City Ruins OST in this show. Even if it felt overused at times, I enjoy listening to it. Looks like another investigation involving machine lifeforms. I'm also kinda impressed what they did with Pascal's character in this episode, and giving it more personality than I had expected. Machine lifeforms are really fascinating by their behaviors and roles imo. |

| Ah I remember that Adam and Eve conversation about clothes. Though feel like it was a bit later down the line but fine, atleast some screen time for brothers. Though the inevitable… 2B and 9S arrive at the machine village in the sequence of carrying out tasks for the resistance. And there we finally had Pascal too making its presence. Machine village being a safehold of non-hostile androids, and honestly with that theme and watching a few of those androids like the sisters brought back memories. Liked how every time someone’s explaining even machine lifeforms seek harmony and peace, we can see subtle changes in 9S’ beliefs. Dude’s confused af right now. Call from 21O and we know where this will lead next episode. |

| Still a little fast paced for my liking, but this was just as enjoyable as always. I was wondering how they were going to handle Emil (not Amiel, as the subs put it), but this was a very interesting departure from the game, especially with the Replicant flashback. |

| Ah yes the table scene with Adam and eve. 9's nature was always soemthing that made me laugh everytime i seen it. Looks like they tweaked the leadup to the village scene a bit though. Still its good that they managed to replicate just how curious the village was to them as it was us as well. The expansion into Pascal's past though was nice. Overall a chill ep but one that added some nice expansion for Pascal that reinforced the spirit behind the formation of the peaceful village rather nicely. |

| Enjoyable: chilling in the machine village with a succession of bangers Automata osts. I liked they put original content like Pascal past story and direct references with Replicant/Gestalt). 9s more funnier than his version in the game |

| Seeing 9S change a little bit after seeing the non-hostile machines was nice to see, he's confused, and the moral ambiguity is quite fun to watch. I don't know why, but seeing the machines fight each other felt like a bunch of kids fighting for a toy, oddly adorable to be honest. I also enjoyed some of the OST. Adam and Eve talking about clothes was a bit confusing, but then I have no knowledge of the Nier games so that's to be expected. |
| Pascal's theme with the vocals made me so nostalgic... Can't believe 2017 was 6 years ago. And then came Emil. Seeing Yonah, Brother Nier, and Kaine again with Emil's eyes felt soooo good. I do hope they adapt NieR Replicant into an anime one day. There's no reason not to. I know they remastered the game recently but it still has that PS3-level gameplay and storytelling. So an anime might be a great way of experiencing the story again without going through the jank of the game. I loved how chill this episode was. No fighting. Seems like they moved around the locations on the map a bit. Probably to adjust the story to the anime format. |
| This was the best episode so far. They bamboozled me into thinking we were getting an Emil introduction before Pascal with the shopping centre bit, and then said "sike" and did it anywyay. Well, kind of. Speaking of Pascal, seeing his past and what lead him to choosing pacifism was great. I love what the anime has done to the side characters in this so far (Jackass being a fantastic example). Seeing Emil's memories actually made me want to cry. Why, oh why have I been cursed with being an emotionless brick! |

| The anime continues to be at it's best during the anime original scenes. I was dissappointed when they changed the conversation in the shopping mall and 2B told 9S that she didn't need new clothes, but in the end that change was great, as they moved that answer to a more emotional point, heightening the meaning of her agreement to go to buy T-shirts and making these words even more meaningful than in the game. They do a really good job of fleshing out 9S character. I hope they get up to something creative in his text segments later on. A highlight was the Emil flashback. The scenery from replicant along with the OST brought tears to my eyes. So far, the hacking sequences have been reinterpreted beautifully. This episode might actually be my favorite so far. |

| If the rest of the show is going to be as good as episodes 4 and 5, then it's a shame episodes 1-3 were so rushed. The animation and cinematography is still not amazing by any means, but I think I've learned to get used to it now that it doesn't have the PS3 graphics appearing. Regarding the story, I feel like it's being handled a lot better than the game, with the exception being the Replicant fan service. It's a lot more pronounced than in the game and I feel like it'll be really awkward if it ends up being just fan service with how much they show this early. Especially for people who haven't played Replicant. |

| The more time passes, the more I miss Replicant despite its flaws, so seeing flashes of it here made me feel nostalgic and happy. Great to see the whole gang back in those shots. |
| We finally get to see Pascal and the Machine Village in anime form. As with the game, the theme for the village is always nice to listen. =) You can see how much 9S was conflicted at first about seeing Machine Lifeforms living together without any hostility at all. While he doesn't hold a high opinion of them in general, he still did help out with the request Liliy asked him and 2B to do here, so at least he can accept their peaceful ways. Connected to the village was a ladder leading underground, where we got a familiar face stuck in a tree, which 9S decided to hack. When he did, we were treated to Replicant fanservice before his connection was cut off abruptly. I did enjoy Pascal explaining to the pair about how finding this place during his days at war was the beginning of his path towards being peaceful and played a part in inspiring him to find other Machine Lifeforms who think the same way and build the village that we see in the present. That was a nice touch, indeed. This was a nice and chill episode. The way that the village was introduced was done a bit differently compared to the game, but it was still just as well done, in my opinion. =D |
| pretty good episode again!! We got to meet Pascal and the "Village" of machine lifeforms who have left the war. I feel like 9S is changing even by a little bit after seeing all those machine lifeforms living in the village or he is just confused. Adam and Eve seem like their gonna be quite important later on. Seeya next week!! |
