| So Ryosuke (the director for 1033 where Luffy jumped down from the sky and hit Kaido with Red Roc) directed this episode and the fight between Yamato aand Kaido has been immaculate, but at the same time effort were wasted on these corny characters. Especially Yamatos hybrid form. *sigh* I will complain this again and again no matter what. Yet again, seeing Yamato's hideous form again, All that hair and animal shape snout are just so disturbing to look at, Oda gave Yamato so much attractive points to the base , just for it to be tarnished, its just so nasty and wrong on so many levels. Just tarnished. THis episode made me rethink of 995, 1015, the part where Kaido shows annoyance and anger towards Yamato, but from the last episode, and 1038, he looked like a Sadist (smiling) fighting Yamato. And i'm getting inconsistency from Kaido this episode for his attitude towards Yamato, I really don't understand. we discovered that Yamato has conquerers haki at such a young age?! strange how assumingly 20 years ago Kaido is not as big as he is now, how is it that he still grows?. c Yamatos backstory was cute and nice I suppose,But none of it matters at this point. The Samurais were cool too. The book style directing is simplistic but of course this has been overused with the story multiple times. Animation of Yamato running like a dog in that fight was just disturbing and unattractive too. 0/5 episode. |

| You gotta love flashbacks in a flashback xD Direction and pacing were solid, tho. Transition back into the fight was fire. The last scene looked so cool and they did the Raimei Hakke exchange justice. Vincent's style as distinct as Shida. Honestly can't stop rewatching the last part. Strong reason to like Yamato again. Saori Hayami's voice acting(I think I've praised Kaido enough lol) and the OST's really elevate the scene. Serious goosebumps. Luffy's Fierce Attack and Luffy vs Ratchet Round 2, perhaps the best things from the early movies. Kaido is neither the best nor the worst One Piece dad. He's somewhere in the middle with his tough love. Can't spoil your brat rotten. Speaking of dads. With blue hair not as many people will think of Ushimaru as Zoro's dad. |

| A good adaptation of the Yamato flashback, much appreciated. That sakuga at the end was sick and extremely impressive, bravo on that! |
| Yamato's flashback was literally my least favorite part of the Wano arc's last 40 chapters, so this episode was a chore to endure even with the good animation at the end. Speaking of which, Toei really needs to tone down the ridiculously bright flashing colors. Not only do I think it looks beyond extra and ugly, but it actually hurt my eyes for a few seconds, and I worry that one of these days we're going to get a repeat of the Pokemon Shock incident. :/ |

| Flashback was ok, but that last minute was pretty much the only notable moment of the episode, that shit looked sick. Ngl as the episode was getting really close to ending and that part (which was in the preview for this episode) hadn't happened yet, I thought there was gonna be some kind of sike, bait and switch moment lol. But they really, literally saved the best for last. |

| I feel like Yamato's backstory was nicely adapted, little her was cute but certainly the questionable parts of her will be left to be desired for sure. I like that bit flashback artstyle this time around involving Oden and his old crew when it goes from transition to transition throughout their adventure. And oh Vincent... I. FUCKING. KNEEL. the most high quality Kaido and very readable as for the action itself despite a lot of brightness & flashiness into it so-far BUT IM MOST HOPING he'll be adapting the more anticipated parts later on. 2023 is getting real strong and going to be interesting since the latter revolves more action-packed and reveals. |

Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load. |
| really great episode. lil yamato was cute. poor momonosuke didn't take flying ed classes. 'mr so and so', blue haired zoro was really cool. the sakuga at the end was so good, 'raime hakke' is my favorite thing ever. |

| I gotta confess something: I hate Wano Kuni. There. I said it. I'm tired of it. We met Kinnemon and Momo about 500 episodes ago in Punk Hazard and they're not squared away yet. I mean damn. I'm also tired of hearing the name Kozuki Oden. I was watching a Japanese tv show and a couple said they were eating oden. I got pissed for absolutely no reason. It was like they insulted my mom. I could care less about Yamato and her identity crisis. I just don't care. At this point I'm starting to root for Kaidou and Big Mom. And I certainly hope we don't spend 10 episodes watching Luffy stare at that damn island. Pirates that haven't set sail in how many episodes? Bitch fest over. I'm just unbelievably frustrated. | As impressive as Momo looks in his bigger dragon form, he still isn't able to fly normally due to his fear of heights. Hopefully it won't take him multiple episodes to bring Luffy back up to Onigashima lol. Chibi Yamato was such a cutie 20 years go. What really surprised me was the fact, that even her being at such a young age, she was already able to use conqueror's haki. That's more than impressive if you ask me. Kaido's methods as being a "father" were as questionable as always. Keeping your daughter captive for a month is just horrible. But at least that's how we were able to meet 3 of the strongest Daimyo's who rebelled against Kaido after Oden's death. Now that I've seen a bit more of Shimotsuki Ushimaru's character, I can even less ignore how much Zoro resembles him. With Yamato learning how to read Oden's journey log, we once again got the flashback of him traveling with Roger. A flashback within a flashback, so to speak, which I've honestly haven't experienced very often so far. The last 40 seconds were crazy. Absolute insane animation and another spectacular transition into the TO BE CONTINUED. |

Will be seeing that next episode, although considering the pacing, its very likely it could be split into 2 episodes for that chapter. Will just have to see. There will also be some cut backs to Zoro and Sanji's ongoing fights of Queen and King in later episodes as well but essentually were now heading into the meater parts of the action and the final battles of the story. |

| I mean it makes the most logical sence in terms of the setting and the story surrounding Samurai. Zoro also would not be a baby in wano, because he was not born there. |
