| Episode 2 has been out for nearly a week... Inami doesn't annoy me, I think that her constant punching won't be on the same level as episode 2 again. On the other hand, however, I just can't get any kind of understanding on the manager... her character is just so pointless. - If she actually did some work in running the place, rather than being shown constantly eating, then fair enough - but a manager who can't even dry plates, and can't resist eating every 5 minutes? Why bother? Sack her, and make Satou the boss. He kicks ass. |

| Usually I have no interest in the kind of anime Working is, but for some reason I like it, I don't know if it is because of the catchy opening, Jun voicing the main character, or the fact the employees and manager of that restaurant are weird. Laughed so hard at the end! |

| Lol, this show keeps up its consistent comedy for me. I'm glad to see Inami not being as overreactive to men as she was in the previous episode. She only punched Takanashi once or so this time? Otoo is pretty cool; I like his name. Put -san at the end, and his last name sounds the same as saying father in Japanese :) |

| FACT: Girls never get fat in anime. Much better improvement from the previous episode but the balance seems off. The comedy wasn't worth a chuckle for me. I wonder where Inami really got her fear of men from? |

It's not like she's the type that is attacking out of hate or because she thinks she has to punish people or some stupid thing like that. Just a reaction due to a phobia that she is trying hard to get through. She only hit Satou once in the entire episode, that's pretty good. I mean at least it's not like Yachiyo who tried to kill someone. Yachiyo just went yandere in this one. Anyone who gets between her and Kyouko are dead. |

| Inami is growing on me. I mean she really is trying. And I do like the interesting relationship that's developed between her and Satou. The reason behind why Yachiyo always carries a katana around was good for a chuckle. What a collection of oddball characters?! |

| Satou is so cute. So does he actually like Yachiyo...? Didn't really understand that part at the end. His そんなわけねぇだろう didn't seem like it could mean he actually likes Yachiyo...but I don't know what else it could be implying. Poplar...? But then Souta would have freaked out...Blargh. Finally some Souma next time. |
| I don't know why I picked up this series, but the goofiness is enough to keep me around. That and I really like the ending theme. It's not often you see the male cast singing the ED (at least in my experience). |

This might be the first anime where I actually feel sorry for the male characters. And I hate male characters. Mostly. Inami's an annoying bitch and Kyouko's only good for one joke. Which they use repeatedly (Y'know, the one about the gluttonous manager who doesn't do any work). Yachiyo...well, while I generally like shoujo ai romance, her relationship with Kyouko is just...stupid. While watching this episode, I think I realized why I'm not liking this as much as other slice of life/moe like Lucky Star, K-On, etc. It's because it's closer in content to the batshit insanity that is Excel Saga. Don't get me wrong, I love Excel Saga, but the difference is that Excel Saga doesn't try to hide what it is. Working, however, seems like it's trying to tone down the insanity of Excel Saga and try to mold it into a setting that seems more traditional. What I mean is that they've got characters doing shit that would get you arrested in real life, yet acting like it's perfectly slice of life. Like, the most unrealistic thing in K-On is how ridiculously rich Tsumugi is, and even that is technically possible. Any way, nothing's wrong with this formula. I'm not bashing the show. It's just not jiving with me, I guess. One of those "What it is/What I expected/What I actually got" kind of things. |
