| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I have to admit, this was a better start than I had expected. Character interactions looked natural, animation looks decent, and it's pretty lighthearted. For a slice of life, I also got the impression of that too. Oh and we got the cat of course!  Loved the realism of the show so far. I want more! |

| So MC believed for his entire life that hearing any person talk about anything would kill his inspiration and spoil his imagination, then in one episode only we have seen him reading books (which spoil him with information about cats) and asking people for what he didn't understand about cats. It totally makes sense. It certainly isn't the hundredth time that anime comes up with some superficial, one-sided anti-social protagonist only to moralising its audience with simplistic message like "be more outgoing." Ok, the cat was kinda cute and I would've enjoyed the show if I was only shown the B part. |

| Loved this! Another chill anime that will be fun to watch! The cat is adorable! This reminds me of She and Her Cat where we get to see the cat's POV and hear its thoughts, but we have roles reversed with a male MC and a female cat. Definitely will enjoy this one if it keeps going with the chill theme! |

| Wow, you can't just hit me with the cat's flashback like that after Subaru dropped on the floor. That immediately got me tearing up a little. The different perspectives angle they are going with works very nice here. Very cute :) |

| I didn't even know this show existed until I saw it in the ANN preview guide, but I'm glad I gave it a look. This was a pleasant and cute first episode, and I'm looking forward to seeing where else this goes from here. |

| Chi is by far my favorite anime cat of all time but this cat is already giving her some competition. Is the structure always going to be like this? A part being from the MC's POV and the B part from the cat's POV? |

| oh i get it! 1st half was without monologue of the cat and 2nd half is clearly with monologue of the cat! this show was cute, let's stick for it for a while! 4/5. jpvlmer said: who else hugged their cats after watching? me not because the cat that stays on our home is only because of food but that cat is not really ours, but most of the time maybe 16 hours per day, that cat is loitering our house because of again...we give that cat left over foods...lolz |

| Well ,(this will be long for a episode 1 but anyway ) put aside i can relate with this and love cats , as a manga reader, i was very hyped to see this adapted,tho, i was very scared and i was a lot of worries of this : first i was worried about how it was gonna be the sides of each characters cat pov / Subaru pov . And two the staff , i'm not gonna lie ,after seeing the staff , i was concerned about the execution and animation . but now i watched the episode , some good points here , the 1st episode was pretty solid, the animation was surprisingly decent /good ,and the most important it was very faithfull to the source it was nice remember or see flashbacks of the panels of the manga during the episode , also and was very cute to hear the cat's voice <3 , for the last , it t was well managed the two pov and the op/ed have the heartwarming vibes that gives the anime :3 i can't wait to see more <3 |

| Heartwarming and a very nice watch! I’m a big fan of cats and this was just a sweet medicinal-like watch! Only thing that really infuriated me is that I don’t have a bloody cat thought nor did I ever have one because of religion(or so my mother claims) barriers! Our main character losing both his parents in an accident was a very sad note to start the show with but the focus instantly shifted to the main character’s personal struggle in life, that is dealing with humans. Here’s where the cat comes in, during his visit to his parents’ grave, and just the first meeting of the two was really delightful imo with the cat snatching away the food from him. We got a lot more of the cat’s backstory in certain flashbacks and his/her care for the main character was just super adorable! Good thing the main character noticed that by the end(his face flustering for a second) even though his editor suggested that earlier. Really nice scene when the cat wiped off the food from his face and the little extra animation detail there was splendid. Poor cat though, he’s been through a lot but he still cares more about others and that’s very nice to see. Looks like the cat will be staying longer after all lol after being baited in by the tuna can, great to see! Looking forward to seeing more of this adorable show! |

| I thought this would be a fantasy story about talking cats or maybe a cute bakeneko. Kind of sad it's not. I love the cat! Her POV was too interesting. Never really thought anyone would write a story from a normal cat's perspective. I mean, they're always so mysterious. The protagonist is an introvert. Yayy!! I love introverted protagonists. Since he has a job, I guess we won't have to worry about Truck-kun. I don't think I could ever talk so rudely to my editor because I try to be as polite as possible, and also because I don't have an editor. T^T He actually ate the cat food by himself. Gross!!! |

| This is far better than I expected. Animation is good. That opening theme was great. It had it's funny and heartwarming moments. Good thing that the cat have monologues. Reminds me of Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko. |
