THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Episode 2 is here and we have to put 30 characters, no? Tamami in Wonderland! Such a beautiful episode! The fact that Tamami had been made to lose all of her memories was really sad. Her meeting with the Owl, Nyanko-sensei and Natsume will remain like a fragment of her dream. It's a shame because even in this single episode, I really liked her cheerful personality and felt attachment to her. It made Natsume's sayonara at the end even more difficult to accept, but he did that with a smile. :') 5/5 |

Good episode. Always good episodes for Natsume. Sucks he always finds such nice potential wifus, but it never aligns in such a way for him to keep them. |

Honestly, both episodes in the Special are better than some episodes in the main season. |

It is because Andou Hitomi (安藤 瞳), Tamami's seiyuu, is a professional actress and not a regular TV anime seiyuu. You'll see similar voice acting in anime movies notably from Ghibli Studios and Hosada Mamoru movies where the character roles are played by professional actors/actresses instead of voice actors/actresses. |

A girl meeting Nyanko-sensei when he speaks. She believes his speaking of her dreaming. So she was asked by a white owl to come to the forest for a ring. He agrees to help her find that owl. So he came to return the name of the ruler of the forest, which sounds like the same as the owl. He met grandmother before. So Nyanko-sensei knew that he would erase her memory, or she cannot live. After seeing the girl, he gave her a fragment in addition to erasing her memory. Natsume waited her to wake up. |

For a Natsume episode it wasn't very good, sadly. IMO Natsume was a biti out of character in it. |

Realized how much I miss Natsume and now the wait for the movie seems even longer. Felt like forever since Roku ended. |

Too bad there is no romance. I know it wouldn't fit with the show. But every now and then I wished there was romance and a girl appearing more often than the others we already have (that don't appear tooo often). Girl was very cute and a nice person like Natsume (tried to help the owl). Also it seemed she has trouble interacting with others. (Or maybe it was only for this episode because she went into the forest. At least she was thinking/worrying about what the others might think of her.) Her and Natsume would have been a nice couple. |

Like lots of people are posting, I too agree this girl would've been a perfect match for Natsume. Well great OVA regardless |

Everyone here talking about the lack of romance for Natsume is assuming he doesn't bat for the other team, his interactions with Natori and Tanuma suggest otherwise ;) |

What a nice episode, When will the next season come? I had forgotten my favorite slice of life |
The question isn't "What anime do you like?" That is merely a list. The question is "Why do you like it?" That tells a story. Your story. |

I had forgotten my favorite slice of life LOL. The one you gave a link to is a professional bowler not a professional actress! :P The Andou Hitomi I am referring to played the role of Umesawa Izumi in 8-gatsu no Symphony. MAL doesn't have her in the database. Consider her as someone like Tanimura Mitsuki or Naka Riisa who are real actresses who voiced in anime movies alongside acting. There hasn't been an announcement for next season, but a movie, believed to be a direct sequel of Natsume Roku will air sometime this year. |

Nice episode, this time the principal was a young girl that follow the instructions of an owl (forest guardian Yokai) that wants to recover his ring!!! Finally, this Guardian erased the girl memory, and it was sad because this girl could be important in the Natsume life, but just was a story!!! COool tooo mee!!!! |

The episode gave a pretty good feeling for at least 2/3 of the episode, so I thought, hey, this is a nice episode and nothing more (not in a bad way!). But man, I still ended up crying when the owl erased Tamami's memories. It really wasn't a heartbreaking or touching scene, yet it still tugged my heartstrings. I guess Natsume's philosophy in this episode infected me, in thinking that it's really sad that Tamami's encounter with the protector of the forest had to be forgotten by her. She's a sweet girl, and it seems even the protector of the forest was a bit saddened that he will once again, be forgotten. I also really liked the short conversation between Reiko and protector of the forest, when he said that she must be lonely. That line hit hard. |

Man they really should make a side story for Natsume which has romance. I'd love to see Tamami comes in and sees the scene which Natsume returns the name for the owl, such beautiful scene! Also, there could be a different part about Tamami meeting Natsume again and somehow feel familiar and develop feelings with Natsume. I know I know I'm just an rom-com fan and an Natsume fan, I want that scene :( |

it's not a real shojo until someone goes to wonderland, and it's not a real anime without a beach episode, i don't think Natsume's been to the beach yet? so here's to another bunch of seasons and some specials, so he finally gets to the sea ;D! |

Tamami really has an innocent and cute personality in this episode even as a side character. I also came to like her VA. Yeah, I actually wished there would be some kind of romance or admiration from Tamami towards Natsume but that would make this a different story and I would feel a bit disappointed. (I'd rather have Jun or Taki beside Natsume). 😅😏 |

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
