THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Done watching it now and the story revolves around Ayaya since she transferred to Youko and Shino's school and gained friends which is Youko and Shino then Alice and Karen later and there goes the school festival. 50 mins. just ended that quickly and I want more. Need more Karen exposure >,< Shino's blonde hair in the play suits her. Alice and Shino looks like sisters LOL |

Starting the ep. with when shy girl transferred 4 years ago. OP: "Happy⋆Pretty⋆Clover" by Rhodanthe* School festival time. Main girl keeps herself busy and many people are around her. Shy girl is feeling lonely, thinking she might not think her as close of friend sometimes. She goes out with her sister while working on the festival together, and those left alone were doing old time talk, especially the two British girls curious how main girl got into high school. Shy girl's family tradition was to go to all girls-school, and she originally was going there. They visited the high school before and that kind teacher not only led them around the campus, but also encouraged them it's not too late to try their best to get in. A long road to improve their grade together, and took the entrance test together. So shy girl took entrance test to both schools and chose what she wanted. Main girl prepare nothing but she explained it's friendship bond, which that ease shy girl's doubt. Shy girl got the role at last minute. Her drama became different from Naobou's character's adl ib. ED: "Starring!!" and "Shining Star" by Rhodanthe* Ending with them entering 3rd year. |

I just finished it, man I'm so happy, there are no words to describe how I'm feeling right now. Kiniro Mosaic is a series that I just absolutely adore, the characters are so lovable, I will never get tired of watching them. This movie gave me more feels than expected, damnit! I wasn't sure what was going to be the focus of the events in the movie, and we got such a beautiful backstory of Ayaya, Shinobu and Youko, while not exactly the same, this hit me pretty hard because back when I had to choose to which highschool to go, I decided to go to the one that was the closest to where I live, instead of the one that my two childhood friends went, more or less 10 years later I still have the feel of regret for not taking the same path that they did back then, unlike Ayaya that prefered to go to a more modest school just to stay and have fun with her two dear friends. As we can see, well, she has no regrets whatsoever, she found two new friends in Alice and Karen, and she's enjoying every single second of her school life, and damn it's beautiful. 10/10 to this movie without even doubting, Kiniro Mosaic is just special to me, all I can do now is hope that this is not the end of the KinMoza anime, I need a 3rd Season so badly! |

This was a fun Ayaya centered movie. They're all so cute. Blonde hair power saved the play! (Kunoichi Karen what a sight) I think Yoko's sibling twins were playing beyblade. At least that's what the white lines look like to me. |

Wow. didn't expect this to be Ayaya-centric movie. Since she is my favorite character in the series, I really enjoy this movie. It's also very nice to have the backstory of the three MCs in middle school. I hope we'll get a 3rd season. |

pretty entertaining all things considered. I wanted more backstory what they gave just wasn't enough and the play was bad but still funny. Shino with blonde hair it get's me every time also were the twins playing bayblade? You know I never get tired of seeing shino get excited by karen and Alice whether it's them being dressed up or them simply being blonde it's just funny to see shino get completely worked up about it. The lack of youko and ayaya shipping is very disappointing but they did give us the totem pole song so I guess I can let it slide. |

For what it was worth it was a pretty damn good OVA. Personally the biggest highlight was Aya's background and it was very well done in my eyes, and the parts from the present tense were pretty fun. Tho Lol they messed up the entire play and Shino went super Saiyan in this. XD Oh well, it was fun all things considered. |

Loved it. It's been quite a while since I last watched this, and things kinda started slowly, but I still got into it after a while. It felt great re-exploring these girls and their quirky relationships. Whilst the movie was quite Ayaya-centric, each of the other girls did their part (though I have to agree that Karen didn't get much time to shine). The ending was sweet, yet tinged with a slight melancholic nostalgia. Sort of like an end to the series or something.... Here's hoping we get another season later to cheer me up again. |

I wanted more Karen, but otherwise, it was good. My favorite part was when Shino gave Karen the "present of friendship". Her reaction cracked me up. |

You could say it lacks Karen or Alice, but we already had their backstory in S2 and of course Shino's as well. It's a very reasonable addition, especially for a special episode so it doesn't end up as just throwaway fanservice or gags. Hope this a sign for S3 in the future. |

Quite good for Ayaya's Back story we see how her friendship with Shino started And Shino's pretty amazing making a new story on the spot when Karen mess the original I enjoyed it Thank you very much |

"Even if" is a strange way of putting it: the choice was unexpected, yes, but not unwelcome, given that we'd hardly seen Aya's story with Yoko and Shinobu. Hopefully, a continuation is in the works. |

This is not the film that takes our cast on a trip all to way to England and expands on those tantalising glimpses of adventure in the EDs. Rather, it's a simple start to finish of a typical cultural festival, culminating with a play. Sadly, it's not a magical musical like the one that graced the finale of season one but that isn't where the highlight of this film lies. Our eccentric blonde leads tend to a backseat as the level-headed Aya gets put into the spotlight instead. We see Aya's emotional struggles as she feels she is the least valuable of Shinobu's friends. This eventually leads us to a lengthy story from the past that proves just how special Aya was and still is to Shinobu and Youko. It's a heart-warming little tale that builds on the characters that the TV series never really had a chance to do so before. Considering it was never really a focus of this series to be much more than a funny SoL, this was well written and managed to touch the heart. The main seiyuus come together again as the unit Rhodanthe* where they perform the OP, ED and also a single insert song. The songs are cheerful and sound in line with everything they've made for the series. Is this the end for Kiniro Mosaic, I wonder? It's not much for finishing with a bang, but if one thing's for sure, it's that this film has shown us that these girls' pretty days will continue on now and long into the future. 7/10 |

Waah! Such an amazing movie! Aya-centric backstory was great and heartwarming and the end was simply touching. And their young counterparts was so sweet <3 In those 50 minutes they even managed to top the original series! I really enjoyed this one. 8/10 I guess the ending message means S3 is confirmed, right? Pretty please? |

That was really disappointing. The gags weren't nearly as good as what we've seen previously. The lack of Karen screentime surprised me a lot. 5/10 TragicRomance said: As much as I love Aya, I found this pretty weak. Okay. Maybe I just was not in the mood, but it felt really slow to me until the play started. "Thanks, blonde hair." This show in a nutshell. Pretty much. |

It was nice to see how Aya, Shino and Youko were back at middle-school. It was a nice movie although I didn't expect it to include such long flashbacks. Not that I'm complaining or something. It's just that I though it would be more focused on the Cultural Festival and not about the nostalgia Aya was feeling. The description deceived me, I guess. Aside from that. It was a nice movie. I enjoyed it and since the focus was on Aya, I couldn't have been more happy. I liked the interactions between her, Youko and Shino during middle-school and it was heartwarming to see them passing their entrance exams. And, as many above me have said, I hope this just leads to a new season someday. Season 2 was absolutely great so I hope this happens at some point in the future. |

Nice little double episode/short movie. Yoko being concerned for Aya is the cutest thing. Of course Karen would ruin the play, but it was pretty hilarious. |

Hm.. So did Aya transfer from another school or something?.. Also Aya knew by memory 100 great poems back then?.. Smart girl.. ;p Well.. They really just need to travel by earlier train, that's all.. Then no running to school will be required really.. It's a bit strange that Shino is both responsible for scenario and costumes.. Class really could leave her the costumes, and that would be enough.. Aya seems to be a bit out of group mood or something.. Maybe just tired after running to school, who knows.. Why Aya is thinking only about Shino, though, if she's her close friend or not?.. Why not about someone else from group?.. Like Youko, or Karen, or Alice?.. It goes with her tsundere nature, I guess, though.. Being unsure of what kind of relationships she might have with someone.. And it's deeper tsundere than just violent one or something.. I wouldn't mind, if movie would be more focusing on Aya's feelings and thoughts.. I quite like her as a character.. I wonder, if teacher was free at the moment or something?.. How she could just organize excursion for Aya, Shino and Youko randomly?.. Well, I guess, Shino got very motivated after this excursion, right?.. They studied together and helped each other, sweet.. ;P So Aya actually had a choice to go in more prestige school, but chose the same one as Shino and Youko, hm?.. Well, wonder, why she did that.. Perhaps it was complex, both things having positives.. More prestige one doesn't necessary equal to more successful future or anything as well, after all.. Words of Shino about grateful and friendship present was enough for Aya, I guess?.. Tsundere princess, lol.. ;p Well, I guess, hime-sama characters are pretty close to tsunderes in some aspects.. But maybe both these types are more prevalent in anime, not in theater plays, though I don't know much about Japanese theater, maybe their princesses are different.. Though, with Karen, play instantly turned into something bizarre anyway.. ;p Well, hope, it'll make at least some sense.. I think that background music is a bit not at place.. Play is chaotic already as it is, I'm not sure they needed to play singing in the anime as well.. Well, it played out in the end, if spectators were satisfied.. And in the end Aya got more positive about her relationship with Shino.. Wonder, what helped her.. What she would name herself.. Was it words, or participation in play, past memories, or all together, or something not?.. Who knows.. And.. "See you!" I hope it's true, and we'll see some more Kiniro Mosaic in the future.. ;p |

Yuri sugar cuteness overload. So much sweet lesbian love ,,,,YEEEEES And ofc they should go in the same school . In their age it should be more about friends and having fun rather then worry about the future Aya is the cutest lesbian princess ever! And one of my favourite moments was when I saw her beautiful armpits,,,Hehehehe except for lesbian kissing that is one of the finest creation that have ever come from Japan But Anime!! I saw the heterosexual hand holding in the background,,,,No heterosexuality in my cute girls show .But luckily for your stupid ass It was so much sweet Yuri that I will let it pass. And that is imo the only negative aspect in this otherwise wonderful movie Overall I love it 10/10 Mmmmm she is so pretty |

Pretty good movie even though it's quite short, it was especially nice to see Shinobu, Aya and Yoko's backstory and how they entered this school, and that play at the end was also pretty good, I'm looking forward to seeing the next movie |

The best shows aren’t always the ones with the craziest premise and setting, it’s the ones that make you feel something. Kiniro Mosaic is one of those shows. Shino, Yoko, and Aya’s journey in getting accepted into their chosen school, though simple it may seem, got me reminiscing about the good old days when I was still a kid going through the same thing. That is why halfway through the backstory, I can’t help but get teary-eyed watching them experience the joy and the struggles of setting foot into a new chapter in their lives. Oh, the beauty of youth. Now there might come a time when I won’t be the same person I was during the time of this posting, but one thing for me is certain, Kinmoza will always be a show that I’ll cherish for a very long time. |
