I think Tsukushi surprises himself sometimes
The kid is still running, a lot.

Good to see Kazama taking on a more active role. Also for some reason, I couldn't take Chikako too seriously with that shirt on lol. Good episode overall, always glad to see the team improving. Mizuki is fucking awesome.

Pull the jerseys...three guys = no foul. I know that anime doesn't have to be realistic, but come on. Bullshit.

Tsukamoto did very well, Mizuki though, he's sick.

Well damn Tsukamoto, that's football, sometimes you gotta play dirty, you can't be crying, its war out there on the field. Even though this time the refs were sleeping.

Mizuki was a beast, in those couple of mins he got in, he changed the game, even tho still being injured.

Its also nice how we're slowly seeing more of Saku High's top duds, that little chibi guy is their top scorer, shit is crazy.

It was funny as hell when they didn't include the girl in the group hug before the match, she was just standing there watching. Fuck that bich.

Good episode.

It was nice to see Kazama having fun. Tsukushi inspiring Kazama to continue to give it his all :)

Chikako's utility pole. XD

The matches are still quite fast paced, Hopefully the match against Saku High will be covered in detail.
Not sure why the ref's didn't even give a card for some of the fouls, Some of them were way too obvious to not give atleast a yellow. I guess it just had to happen so that things could play out the way they did.

I actually thought Tsukushi would score with the diving header, He did wear down the opposing team though, Good job Tsukushi.

Mizuki was pretty cool, He's a monster because only he can play the way he does. Speed, strength and height, He's got them all.

Interesting to see Saku High's top scorer, Narukami seems like a cool guy.

They should have just played that game with no refs, no one would have been able to tell the difference. Come on, refs, do your job.

Mizuki finally got some playing time and even though we didn't get to see much, his performance was impressive.

I never would have expected that trap to be Saku High's top scorer. It should be fun watching him when he plays.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

how much did ariake team paid the referees for them not to call yellow and red cards??

i stopped watching kuroko no basket mid season where they are playing against this same kind of team who pays off referees that you can stab your opponent a million times or punch them kick them chop their heads off and the referees wont mind.. so yeah im a season and a half behind kuroko no baskets anime..

Yeah that's ridiculous that Ariake didn't at least get one yellow card...those refs should be fired. I've seen/read other animanga with teams that like to do foul plays, but c'mon, pulling Mizuki's shirt like that near the end wasn't even hidden.

I'm surprised that Narukami Shuuji guy is the top scorer for Saku High, he seems like a nice kid. Looking forward to seeing him play.

Seriously, even
was more terrifying than this shit and yet that match is considered to be one of the worst matches in Kuroko no Basket (I actually kind of liked it but more for its extreme cheesiness than the try hard LOL CREEPY factor)

On another note
>Mizuki is a pro
>Daisuke Namikawa voices him and Oikawa
>Oikawa is also a pro

-Kazama & Tsukamoto being all lovey-dovey as usual <3
-Mizuki acting annoyed & hilarious as usual :3
-Mizuki & his princess-carry of Tsukamoto **internal screaming**

It's a good thing Mizuki inspiring pointed out Tsukamoto's contribution, as there was literally no way to infer it from what was shown. The match was barely coherent, but at least the charas are on model.

Hopefully the major matches won't be this stilted.

Alright we are 7 episodes deep in this anime and I'm really getting really tired of how shit Tsukamoto STILL is. I mean I totally get this is an underdog story slow progession of his skills type of deal. I see how he contributed by making the other team chase him around making them tired. But I would like to see him show at least a LITTLE improvement by now and actually contribute to the team by showing he is some kind of threat. Just a big flaw that is bothering me is that Tsukamoto is still garbage so when is a team going to take notice of this and not even bother chasing him at all. Put one man on him or don't even bother putting a man on him. This wouldn't be a problem if we got to see at LEAST once that if the other team ignores Tsukamoto he can at least do SOMETHING like score, pass or steal the ball. I mean just give me SOMETHING. It's getting really tiresome seeing him fail when he gets a chance to have the spotlight like when he missed that opportunity to score this game. I mean fine to be fair he was kicked this time. I really want to see him make an impact on the game beyond being a cheerleader for his team or inspiring everyone with just how much he runs for everyone.
/rant about Tsukamoto

Despite my fustrations with Tsukamoto, I really enjoyed watching Mizuki this episode being really badass. Loved the scene when he said the three of them wouldn't be enough to stop him and that goal was really awesome.

Overall I'm feeling pretty disappointed with the series, there are some really cool characters in it (Kazama and Mizuki) which is a shame but the MC and the disappointing games overall are making this show become a chore to watch. This is 24 episodes so I hope it can turn itself around since I'll be sticking to the end. Crossing my fingers that Tsukamoto redeems himself in the finals or we at least get an intense game.

Was that game refereed by Byron Moreno, what the hell was up with that? At that point the guys from Seiseiki may as well have started to literally 'break a leg' on some of the Ariake guys, probably would've only gotten a yellow card at most for ending a player's career.

By far the worst episode. Teams getting away with blatant fouls on field play does happen sometimes but that kick on Tsukamoto was 100% penalty! Like what the fuuuck... even the most partial ref can't ignore that. Like, what's the guy there for? just to blow the whistle on start and end of the match?

Pushing yourself during rest day is also utterly stupid. I get that they want to emphasize the hard work but jeez, do your research better please. Even pro players don't do physical training everyday and you'd think all those time spent running would be better spent on honing basic skills like passing, dribbling, or shooting.

The amount of BL bait seems like it's gonna soar to a sickening level soon too. I also find it hard to believe that girlish boy is somehow the rival team's top scorer with that kind of physique. Well, maybe if he's as talented as Messi but knowing Japanese football manga that runt is most likely just a very fast poacher that would be bullied by defenders to oblivion in real life.

Many sports anime have teams that play like this but COME ON, this is soccer, there's no way this match didn't have any fouls or cards, kicking someone in the face, pulling someone's shirt with three guys, really now

What's worse, Tsukishi's still not getting a chance to do anything other than running around like an idiot...isnt it time other players address this issue by training him or whatever? Not being able to handle the ball or pass is a just a LITTLE inconvenient for a soccer player

I am looking forward to the next episode because it features Tsukishi's mom, she looks like a fun character

Good episode and nice choice of music in this episode. Anyways was there even a refree at the game? Should have been like 10 yellows and atleast 3 red cards, seriously? It also ticked me off that in football you cant tripple or double team a player that easily it's not like baskeball. You cant tripple team a guy without loosing your whole defence or offence.

Well somethings were a bit stupid to me as a huge football fan but some were awesome to see. How much Tsukamoto and Kazuma loves football was superb to see. And we finally got to see our CAPTAIN play and let me tell you he can play.

If tsukamoto becomes like that in the future this will be a very intresting anime to follow

Would like a tad more realism in this anime, especially seeing as three men can grab onto someone's jersey and a foul still not be called, and I know it's a trait of tsukushi's character to cry but God it gets annoying

I have yet to see an anime pull "rough" playstyle team right.

Take for example real life team, Atletico Madrid. Somewhat rough playstyle, but in play limits. They're rough, do tackles that seem cruel etc, but they play within rules, or at least on rule borders.

Then take anime versions of such teams. Tackles that would break legs, tackles with elbowing opponents, jumping onto their feet while they're on the ground, flat out hitting opponents etc.

All of them would lose players after first such challenge. Studs knee high tackle that mows down opponent? Yeeeeeah, you're out mate. Doesn't matter if it's pro or high school tournament, you're getting out.

So yeah, that's my little rant about rough teams on anime. I skip them. Fuck it. Seen one, seen them all. Zero rules on the pitch when those teams are playing. Not worth the time.

this episode has runied the whole anime for me . They should name the episode " sesaki vs team all look alike "
Seriously wtf was that ? I want to smoke what the referees were smoking , those referees were high as fuck , i wonder how did they pass the pissing test .

Now to our " i will just run while closing my eyes " MC . Seriously , did the writer even watch a football match ? I wish i could meet him and shout in his ears : THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS JUST RUNNING in football ! , there is a rule called OFFSIDE , the MC would fall in the offside trap . There is no need for any player from the other team to follow him more than couple of meters , they would just let him pass the denfse line and fall in the offside trap . Like wtf ? Watch at least 10 games before writing a manga about football !

Not only that but the mc run in every direction ? From the right to the left ? Eyes closed ?
And later we have the captin telling him that he made the other team's players tired ? That's BS . Fuck it and he still thinks he should practice running instead of practing pass, shoot, tactics , postion . Like agghhh !

I am not even finished yet , the mangka decided to piss all over the word realstic , like when the captin and those 3 players went for a littel walk and chit chat ( the referees should have passed the crack to those four ) and they were like " fuck the match let's just talk for a while " . Then the captin tackled them , and we got a steady shot of the catptin coming out of no where, flashing behinde kazima , jumb and bam, It's a goal .

Ocourse but it's not really that easy, also I don't think that's the way football should be showcased to an audience that's not so in to football. And when I mean so into football then I mean Europe level. Football is steadily growing in Japan and the US but I don't think that it's a healthy way to showcase football as it doesn't happen that often in a match.

Ocourse in lower league games but it's still not often you see that happening.

Haven't you watched Real Madrid's match against Sevilla for the UEFA Super Cup? At Extra Time, Sevilla was settling for a draw and that's what punished them in the end.

And it's not like it's being showcased in a good way. They made it obvious that it's a dirty tactic.

Real Madrid is my favorite team so yes I did watch it. There is no way that 3 guys just stood there and blocked a players path like it was shown in the episode. Sure they probably double teamed someone but not like it was shown here.

My point is I belive that it shouldn't be showcased overall as that might lead people to belive that you can do that, as the referee was nowhere to be found. But that's ofcourse my opinion and you're free to have your own

I was talking about Sevilla defending. Not about 3 guys marking one player, I know that didn't happen. Obviously here was a bit exaggerated, but it does make sense. In football we always see many players marking a good player, the only difference is that in real life they won't follow him everywhere.

Yes, they didn't handle the refereeing right.
