Felt kinda silly in a way with the club members' activities though. Dat embrace though.  Serizawa is somewhat of an interesting character though with her dreams. Got a bit of a melancholic feel from the episode. |

| Chika rushing in as usually, and that scene where she was nearly run over. In any case it seems Serizawa is having a hard time but i wonder about her hearing problems. If she told the school they would be able to provide help help with it so that it won't effect her grades. |

| I really enjoyed this episode, the telephone cups was such a great idea to help Serizawa hear due to her hearing aid being broken. For once Chika figured out the "mystery" rather quickly, and it was that Serizawa was losing her hearing. I liked when Chika was telling Serizawa about the girl in her volleyball club, Serizawa was just like, I don't need your sympathy and does this pertain to me? I think it's a realistic reaction from someone with that personality. And it's good that there was pretty much no drama despite something sad happening with Serizawa. Instead, they band members tried to talk to her and she responded. I also liked it when Serizawa told them that it's near impossible to get to nationals, but Kusakabe has the talent for arrangement, which should help them get there. Kusakabe staying with music in an rural area, despite no longer being in the part of the professional field, was also addressed. Loved the ensemble improvisation, that was nice to listen to :) |

| Good episode. But like rest of show it doesn't really stand out. It's not BAD per say, just alright. Hell, I prefer Beautiful Bones from last season to this cause at least that show had a character that kept me watching even if the cases weren't all that good. That show doesn't really have that. And in terms of a music show Hibike Euphonium does it so much better. I know they're different shows in terms of the content, but both feature plotlines of a school band trying to succeed, so I think my comparison is somewhat justified. Also the jokes aren't really that funny. (Most of the time anyway) |

| Brings back memories of playing the clarinet. LONG LEAVE THE UNDERRATED CLARINET! Sad that she lost some hearing. I was expecting her to be more of a b**** but she was actually pretty likeable. Rather I don't like the president. |
| This episode had a bit of everything. Between seriousness, funsies and cuteness. I really love Chika and Haruta, they are so nice to watch. Speaking of which, this episode kinda convinces me that Haruta isn't really gay, I mean that awkward conversation there kind of hints it. Those two have too much synergy to be left to waste. Our new character is pretty good too. This is one of my favourite shows of the season. |

| Serizawa is an interesting character, and she gives some insight into those with hearing disabilities as well. The mystery surrounding Kusakabe and his background seems to have the show progressing slowly. Decent episode. |

| That was a really nice episode. It was cool everyone sorta figured it out at almost the same time. Haruta and Chika's interactions are always great to watch. I know it's 6 episodes in and all but it's still refreshing whenever they fight over the teacher while staying good friends. Also noted that Chika confirmed Haruta is basically an ikemen in this show by saying girls would want to join because of him. That moment when Chika started recounting about her friend and Serizawa cutting her off... heh. That was so real, I didn't see that coming in an anime. Kind of OT but man, their campus looks so chill. So many rooftops open for student access (with Mt. Fuji in the background!?) and those open-air connecting bridges... I wish I had those back in school. Also since this episode showed the music room clearly, it's quite obvious now that P.A. reused the room layout from TARITARI. |

I wish I had those back in school. I agree. If my school back in the day had a pretty lake and possibly Mt. Fuji clearly in the background, then I would have such a beautiful and relaxing view to admire if I was eating lunch with friends or reading a book on my own. =D I'm happy that this episode focused more on the music for a change. Serizawa's an interesting character and having hearing loss problems is really unfortunate. She does have a point about the club's goal at playing at Fumon Hall. It's a bit too difficult to see them get the required members to join up, improve their playing skills until they hit a semi-pro level AND succeed at Fumon Hall before the likes of Haruta and Chika graduate. At least this way, they can perform as a smaller band and hopefully be able to achieve first place if they alter their goal a bit before their senior graduation. Definitely the best and most refreshing episode so far. =) |

| I feel quite the connection to Serizawa Naoka’s sentiments off the top of this episode. The arts are a real possibility that should be considered in every child’s growing years. Music is a difficult road though. Good thing all of the people in this show (except maybe Chika) are already pros! They just sound too good to be true. I can imagine it would be tough for a music producer to ask their musicians recording these scenes to ‘play down’ a little, but hey, I’m overly observant in this category sometimes. As for thoughts on the episode as a whole, I think it did pretty well. It’s pacing was good and mostly character driven, and didn’t need twist-like reveals to keep it interesting. Serizawa’s condition and interactions with the gang could be really interesting in the future, as long as they don’t just keep brushing aside the character of the week! |

| Serizawa is a good new character. But I hope all the members or those cast we seen in OP will gather soon. MAL include 'Romance' genre for this anime. So will we see development here cause so far I don't see any. Having mystery in a music anime is a weird mix though. |
