| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well shit, even with Zone, Kagami is having trouble going up against Akashi. That doesn't surprise me though considering how skillful he is.. Pretty sure this match will last quite awhile regarding highlights from both teams now. It's also kinda interesting that they still haven't shown much of Rakuzen's 5th player yet. Decent match so far I guess, some parts felt repetitive while the super power plays are a bit exaggerated. Was expected though. |

| Zone all the way. Kuroko got changed, and he's shocked is so cute. But HiroC's character's team started to fight back. Emperior eye got him, and he's frustrated enough to lose some energy for zone. Zone is off with some energy left with his teammates' with him. Kuroko is not invisible because he used lots of skills that caught attention. Everyone saying sour words to each teams for Kuroko is so funny. That new character who feel similar to Kuroko really used the same skill (old vs. new?). |

| Mayuzumi is one of my favorite characters in this anime, so glad he was introduced in this episode. He looks like a true phantom (Sorry Kuroko, I still love you bro) Even though this match has a lot of bullshit moments. Everything will look epic animated and I just want to see some badass stuff |
| It is interesting to learn how all Kuroko's special moves has made misdirection useless. But for a newly shining light, it is still nothing but a shadow to a by far superior light. Mayuzumi's appearance adds even more tension to the match! |

| good for Kagami going out of the zone for now because the Emperor Eye can neutralize it so he is gonna just waste a lot of energy but damn that was fast they introduce the new Phantom 6th Man already how many chapters did they animate this episode? |
| Nice episode. Kagami in the ZONE and still having troubles with Akashi. Kuroko losing his lack of presence. Mayuzumi has the same abilities as Kuroko. Just more of an upgrade. This is not looking good for Seirin. |

| HYPE!! HYPE!!! HYPEE!!!!! I have no clue how they managed it, but they almost flawlessly adapted 5 chapters of action in one episode! Meteor Jam animation looks so much better this episode! The story flowed amazingly well. Great transitions for such a high pace. And a lot of it was due to the awesome BGM which connected scenes without it feeling awkward!!!! Glad they didn't skip too much from the manga- nothing crucial. Also glad that that they mentioned the importance of momentum and Mitobes Block (and hook shot)! ;^; Can only hope next episode will be > or = to this one :D Ok... gonna go study for math test now lel. 9.5/10 if I had to quantify. |

| I really hope they limit the spectator commentary. I know this when everyone that's dealt with Kagami and Kuroko get their moment of reflection and it's staying true to the manga, but some creative liberty would be nice. |

| Wow, Kuroku has found a new shadow rival. Kagami with the zone can't overpower Akashi That yellow lightening guy is super strong as well. Hard times are facing Serin, hard times. |

| 1. That's how the meteor jam should be animated. It is as awesome as the one last season. They even animated Kagami switching the ball to his left hand. And Nebuya's instinctively bending his arms to shield himself as Kagami nearly crashed onto him was really good attention to detail. Kagami slammed the ball so hard dust flew off the backboard. 2. Slightly disappointed they took out one of my favorite moves of the match, where Kagami used meteor jam as a decoy: 3. They also thankfully replaced Akashi's cringy villain monologue with commentary from the spectators. 4. That lightning dribble moment just felt right for some reason. Btw the subs should be "the ball disappeared", not "he disappeared". 5. Kuroko didn't despair as much as I remembered which is just as well, since it is in line with his new found emotional resilience (his phantom shots getting blocked didn't quite faze him earlier). 6. I barely noticed Takeda Kenji (the team mentor) sitting on the bench. He is the real phantom of the series. 7. So Aomine uses a rubber duck. Or is Kagami supposed to be the rubber duck? 8. Riko showing Kuroko some sisterly love. She's da real big sista. 9. I just noticed that Akashi didn't turn around at all after Kagami (was allowed to) passed him. Stop trying to be cool, Akashi! Really solid episode, with some really intense back and forth basketball since the opening tip off. |

| I already feel sorry for Mayuzumi, knowing what's going to happen to the poor guy. Also, I love how Kuroko says he will return to the court to win, but then for the rest of the match he plays almost no role at all. Anyways, decent episode, along with Akashi's dialogue. |

| Akashi conglomerate is obviously famous for making phantom sixth men. :D I kinda get a feeling that Rakuzan isn't on screen enough (don't know why). We even got that telepathy moment from Seirin (I really don't remember was that in the manga, but it was kinda cool). After that Kaijou- Seirin match, Akashi is in every episode! Heaven |

| Geez, seeing Kuroko getting compromised and shut down quite easily was quite disheartening to see. x_x Rakuzan has some really tough players. Kagami's ZONE was great while it lasted but Akashi's emperor eye is just way too good. Chihiro Mayuzumi using misdirection was a huge surprise though. He's basically a better/newer model of Kuroko? Heck, he does resemble Kuroko a bit too. Need the next episode now. xD |

| 1. Rather predictable that Mayuzumi would have the same style as Kuroko. 2. Nice to hear more commentary from the spectators rather than hearing Cornball Akashi monologue. 3. Kagami posterizing Rakuzan with them Meteor jams. 4. Lightning dribble nice af. 5. Zone Kagami getting his ankles broken was hilarious. |

| I'm really starting to realise why people that read the manga said they don't like this game and it's straight up because Akashi's not an interesting opponent. He wasn't interesting anyway, since his only traits were initially "is probably Satan, also short" when he was first introduced. Since then, basically all we've gotten out of him is "he's actually Satan, also short". His backstory didn't really feel like it added anything to him, since every part of his personality that you could be sympathetic for was fucked in the ass by that dual demonic personality asspull. He's p much got no standing now except as being the big bad. He's just an archetypal villain and not even that good of one, mostly because neither of his dual personalities has much of one. There's also the fact that he is by far the least interesting of all the Generation of Miracles (quite a feat to pull, yet he somehow managed it) by warrant of the fact that his power's bullshit. Literally every other power, no matter how op, at least had some sort of meaning/obvious flaw behind it. Akashi's is literally just "Akashi won that point because he's Akashi lol!", like the story thinks him being actual Satan warrants him not actually needing any athletic skill of merit. He literally just fucking looks at people. Plus, the only person shorter than Akashi on any team in any game in this entire show is Kuroko, a guy who it made sense to be small. Someone Akashi's size couldn't dominate this game this hard. It's gotten to the point where he's basically just so op he's fucking boring and, I never thought I'd say this about a show that really goes so far into the sports powers repertoire, but he's op by standards that are even illogically over the top compared to the other bs this show pulls. |

| Damn this was a good episode. Really should've expected that Kuroko's effectiveness would go downhill... It was pretty obvious that the guy had similar abilities as Kuroko. Especially with the opening :/ Lots of awesome action. Especially with Kagami's meteor jams. Also liked the fast pacing. It did feel like that there was a lot in this episode :) Hyped for the next episode! |

| Brilliant episode. Interesting to see Kagami being able to control his Zone. But yeah, even more interesting was Kuroko 2.0 I wonder if Kuruko's gonna evolve or something to counteract that guy hehe. |

About Rakuzan's players blocking Kuroko's shoot, uhm I don't know.. I thought his shooting style wasn't related to his invisibility? They sure blocked it easily. Overall really meh episode beside Akashi being bishie. |

| Aw man, as soon as they showed that guy last episode with his similar hair and eyes and said how he has a "similar aura to someone else" I knew it was gonna be a Kuroko 2.0! Feel so bad for Kuroko :( |
