Ha, Fubuki and her milk mustache.

Episode felt kinda slow but the relationship connection that Fubuki has built with Akagi is quite something. Anyways, I think the show is trying to make some climatic battles for this penultimate episode. And is it just me or did they just show a really powerful Abyss?

At least they got Yamato ready now this time along with most of the fleet ship girls. Pretty intense episode...Akagi D:

This episode was basically like a history lesson. The two new ships you see this episode are Maikaze and Airfield Hime. Maikaze (the one crying in the dream sequence) scuttled Akagi at Midway in real life after she sustained massive damage. Airfield Hime (the abyss that got attacked by the First Carrier Division) is representative of Henderson Field, the American airfield at Midway that the Japanese forces assaulted.

In real life, Tone (though it was Chikuma in the show) discovered the American fleet with a float plane, but by that point the first carrier division had already sailed towards midway (and their ultimate fates).

Historically, Yamato was meant to be at Midway, but her battleship group wasn't able to get close enough to the battle in time.

Oh, right, someone else did show up but I won't say who it is since I guess that would be somewhat of a spoiler. I will say it's a little early for her though, unless it's a season 2 hook.

This is not Kancolle, this is Fanfiction written by a secondary who haven`t played Kancolle and haven`t watched Strike Witches and Girls Und Panzer.

I`m pretending this show doesn`t exist.

That was quite the cliffhanger. Nothing going to the plan. I enjoyed seeing the bombers and the waves of planes that followed it.

With doom so near though, not sure I would like the only two choices no matter what. The operation is pretty interesting.

This mission is intense as fuck and my god things are not looking good at all.....I swear If Kongo, Yamato or Akagi actually ends up dying I'm gonna be depressed for hours TwT

Great episode imo, also did uh, what's her name....The one that's always with that other girl who's in love with her, did she just die?? :|

This episode or better said this attacked looked a lot like the attack on Midway, which was supposed to be a Japanese surprise attack but the Americans learned about the plan weeks before the attack.
Which can at great casts to the Imperial navy.

There are some big differences tho.
And what i wonder about know is what happened to Yamato's group seeing it's missing as well.
This probably suggests they might be under attack.
And there is also the girl that was shown when Yamato left port.

I was worried that they wouldn't bother including any other abyssals for the final battle. Glad that's not the case. Airfield Hime is always welcome. :p

Is it just me or does her mouth look bizarre in this? Gonna have to assume it's just part of her armor that makes it seem like that...

I would say I was worried if it wasn't for the fact that I'm basically 100% sure that there'll be some stupid asspull and someone (ie: Fubuki) will magically appear and save Akagi's ass. Hopefully at least someone dies; maybe then I'll be able to take the stakes this is supposed to have seriously.

> "I don't know what light the admiral saw in this small destroyer.."
Tsk tsk.. Only if Akagi knew about the secret, perverted persona of the admiral, she'd figure it out right away the reason Fubuki became an important part of the mission.

For the first time, Ooi and Kitakami are separated and that was great, since I can't stand these two! >.< Their unpleasant faces made me happy though!

Battle got out of hand quite quickly. So many death flags at once but I'm pretty sure no one will die, or at least I hope so.

Decent episode. Finale should be just as intense as the second half, so looking forward to that.

This was one of the better episodes. I could actually feel the history coming from this one unlike some of the others. You could get a good sense of the plan that they are trying to follow as well. I find it interesting that they seem to be referencing our world a bit with Akagi, and Nagato's feelings of deja vu and the like. I feel like that is a nice touch.

I honestly thought we had two episodes left, so I'm kind of sad knowing the next episode is the last one. (Until we get approximately 3 series and a movie or two of course!)

Yeah, I'm wondering that too... The water spout after her she remembered that she was alone was very very ominous...

Still I'm thinking screw it sink all of them if you must but don't you dare touch Yamato and Kongou (and her sisters) the rest can rust at the depths for all I care. So long as the battleships survive I'm ok, all other ships types be damned.

You could see, barely, where the armor ends. It looks like part of her mouth was blown up along with the side of her neck.

One of two things could happen next episode. One, Fubuki comes in time to save Akagi and somehow pulls a miracle. Or, Akagi gets saved by Fubuki, same as scenario one, but only this time Fubuki sinks, KanColle girls win but lose Fubuki.

Pretty much Akagi's dream was shown.

If Kongou sinks then all hell breaks loose. She's the best girl in the show.

Even taking into consideration the genre and source material this anime utilizes, this show in particular has been (upon reflection) one of the most over-hyped, predictable and bland products I've ever watched. Paper-thin plot, cardboard cut-out characters, and dialogue that made me cringe with embarrassment at what I was listening to. The game at least has the possibility of death which brings a weird quasi-darkness to it considering your cute "waifu" can end up at the bottom of the sea. Besides 2 supporting girls sinking so far, we've had nothing but predictable battles with hilariously bad CG effects, and SoL in-betweens with moe forced on you so hard it kills the atmosphere and makes you wonder if there's actually a war going on. I know it's fucking moe yadda-yadda and is adapting the browser game to milk the fanbase even more with cuteness but sorry, knowing that DOES NOT excuse this show from being a bland and cliche' as fuck mess. SW and GuP share some of the same problems, but they're a bit more subdued and certainly smarter in the way they are handled so I like them quite a bit. I probably wouldn't be as mad if I wasn't greeted every episode with OP and ED sequences that try so god damn hard to be Epic. They could really add some meaningful drama if the girls had to cope with the fact that they couldn't escape the fates of their past namesakes... but no, we all know that Fubuki is going to save the day with friendship, break all the laws with love, and change history with compassion... This show had promise in the beginning to not just be another cliche' moe wank machine, but that is exactly what it turned into. It saddens me greatly to know that this kind of crap will almost certainly get a second season, wheras other more thought provoking shows, and even better moe shows, will fall to the wayside. I guess that's the anime world we live in... it may be fruitless to try and fight it, but god dammit if I can save one other human soul from watching this junk then that's what I'll do. I won't be a mindless zombie attaching myself to this just because of the moe, hype, or bandwagon. For a better World War 2 themed military-moe, look up Strike Witches.

I've grown quite attached to those girls as well, particularly Kongou, though losing Akagi would hurt Fubuki more, and that might be worse. Yamato will be fine. It isn't her time to go.

Time to see which way this pulls on the optimism-pessimism scale.

If there's one thing I believe in it's Fubuki. The girl has plot on her side. She will not die, and I doubt she will fail given that she has the MC flag and all the invincibility that comes with it.

Fubuki hitorically will sunk in other battle after Midway.

Kancolle is based in a game, being a videogame i hope Akagi and Kaga survive in last episode, i don't want see a Fubuki broken in tears in the last episode.

Yeah, Taihou came to mind as well.

... So I had to go back and look, cause apparently I missed this entirely. Because when I first saw that scene I just automatically assumed it was Fubuki for some reason.

But noooo, that's not Fubuki of course.

Nice to see just about every single fleet girl. Even if they only had like 5 seconds of screen time, lol.

Cool to see how this show uses past naval war events.

Want to see what Fubuki's remodeled cannons can do this time. Hopefully the next episode will be very epic.
