So Shiho was actually the last HiME. Mikoto once again killed (not really this time, it seems) the person most important to Mai by defeating Shiho's child. Apparently he's still alive, judging from the conversation at the end. Sister and Ishigami both died together and it was revealed to Mai that Reito is Lord Kokuyou. Nao also had her child defeated by Shizuru who seems to be going insane.

Great episode, looking forward to the last two episodes.

Mai and Tate get on my nerves! I don't feel sory for him though. And that red hair girl - if Mai had let her get what she deserves a long time ago none of these would have happened.
What's more Mai is crazy, first she goes in a feat of anger to finish that Sister Hime and then she freaked out when the sister decides to take her own life.

geez I've got a feeling this is gonna finish in a stupid way.

Ok this is were officially Mai is aloud to flip. I would go to a rage about now and start burning everything starting from that Reito and his white hair child idiot.

Why am i getting a feeling of some ending in the style of everyone coming back to life? Hope it's not like that but it seems unavoidable now.

Man just because Shiho got defeated Mai has to lose Tate T_T lame ... but I wonder if Fujino loses does that not automatically mean Natsuki disappears as well? In which case a chain reaction would occur or something @_@?

That would be rather lame, although I believe Mai mentioned wanting to obtain the final HIME power in order to get Takumi back.

Well, if we have at least an epic duel between Mikoto and MIYU and Mai barbecues that smug Nagi, I won't be complaining too much!

Their chain of relationship is definitely messed up and what if someone among the Hime fall in love with Reito so badly?, LOL does that call for absolute defeat?.

Man...So much agony for these girls. I too am feeling an inevitable everyone lives scenario...as long as they have it be somewhat logical and do it well...it will keep a high rating. It might take a hit if the ending is badly done.

There's only two ways to end this show, everybody stays disappeared or everybody gets brought back to life. By killing off not only her brother, but also her love interest sealed this show's fate of having the despair, let everybody stay dead group, mad or hopeful, let everyone come back to life group, mad.

I'm on the side of letting everybody come back to life because recent movies and tv shows and anime love killing off characters to the point were the ending is just a pile of despair. Only in shounen do people stay alive or win out in the end. I still like these shows but would kinda like a happy ending as the last few I watched weren't so lucky.

Finally the Tate situation is resolved. I feel sad for Mai having to go through agony twice, though I feel nothing for Tate as he's the most useless male MC in a long time, so I see this as him finally doing something useful for a change.

This does seem to move toward reviving everyone at the end type of ending. As long as it's done well, I am okay with it.

So that's 3 hime defeated in an episode. Is this the most so far?

So to all Nao haters, her past adversity is finally revealed! She tricks all those men to steal their money because she pretty much lost everything in her own life. She feels that she can't trust anyone, so she doesn't let them actually get nearly as far as she says in the email.

So yeah Tate is, in general, a fairly useless character (he saved Mai from being crushed by St. Vlas though!). But as I'm rewatching, I've come to understand how the two fall in love with each other. I feel like it's not exactly a specific time or anything. Just from like, the very first few episodes, where they poke fun at each other, and are always there to support and help each other, I feel like the two of them really enjoy each other's company. That's just my two cents, though

Lot of shit happened again in this episode. The plot keeps going nuts and I love it.
I knew tate would die, probably cuz of shiho's child death. I dont think they are really dead, that would be really fucked up.
Either way great episode.

It's hilarious that Tate was actually the most precious person to Mai. And we don't even get an explanation.

You cannot make that up.

Her entire motivation revolved around her unexplained love that never got any actual on-screen development after their one conversation early on in the anime. Honestly, how are you supposed to care for them? Show don't tell is a misunderstood principle that is not universally applicable, but it sure as hell would have helped, if we saw them interact a bit more romantically. I guess in they end they just randomly happened to be soul-mates or something. They do fit, being awful people and all.

Shiho deserved better. Which is why again, I find it incredibly amusing that the anime has to go out of its way to make her evil (like I predicted). Because that's the only way to make Mai and Tate not look awful. Think about it 2 out of 4 people in the love cuboid had to be literally evil, so that our two main love interests don't look like awful people.

And it doesn't even make sense for Shiho to know that killing the frog would kill Mai's brother. She didn't even interact with Akira, how was she supposed to know that they were in love? So that entire motivation is ridiculous.

It was already ridiculous with Mikoto. Had Mai even 2 braincells, she would realize that Mikoto very likely didn't know that the frog was Akira's child. Which she should, because Mikoto expressed confused as to what happened right after she killed the frog.

But that's not all both imaginary Takumi and Sister justify Mai's unexplained love, because of course they have to. That is completely ignoring that Sister killed herself for no reason because she also fell in love with an asshole.

It is kinda alarming when the most healthy representation of love is the one of the yandere that sexually assaulted the person she was in love with. Because at least she actually cares for the one she loves and does everything she can for her (likely even planning on defeating every other hime and then dying for her).

But this episode did have one upside, Tate is finally gone. That spares us from his presence for hopefully at least 1 episode. Which I doubt, because Mai will have a flashback or hallucinate him or something and by Episode 26, the entire world will likely be reset.

They’re dropping like flies now, Nao finally fucked around and found out, and it was due to Shizuru and her OP stando, even if she’s been a bitch she at least did that good deed as well as fuck up District 1. It’s just sad that somewhere out there, Nao’s mom died, I was wondering who it would be for her since she didn’t appear to have anyone she was fond of, but even Nao had someone after all, even after all the fuckery she’s caused I hate to see her lose her mom.

And we aren’t done there, we also witnessed Yukariko and Ishigami bite the dust when Yukariko sacrificed the two of them together, was not expecting an end like that for them, damn, for Ishigami it was deserved but RIP Yukariko, and man that world she showed Mai was honestly so good, I wouldn’t have been mad at all if the whole show was more lighthearted like the first half, but Mai did at least get to talk to Takumi one last time. And lastly, there goes Tate as well, another big RIP, I know lots of folks didn’t like him but I kinda did, he was frustrating at times but he was great early on and especially here in his last moments, I do think they could have done a better job selling the romance between him and Mai, but I did like seeing Mai realize her feeling at last, since it was clear she felt something for him for a while now.

And who was it that did the final blow? Mikoto… yeah something is definitely up with the prince controlling her, I don’t think it’s simply Mikoto obeying him because she wants to, and it’s such a shame to see because her and Mai were so tight, I didn’t think they could be split up but boy was I wrong. Oh, and also Shiho is a HiME, or I should say WAS a HiME lol, not surprising in the slightest, and it sucks it ended this way for her but she brought it on herself. And now I believe there are just 5 fighters left, being Mai, Natsuki, Mikoto, Shizuru and Miyu, with just two episodes left anything could happen.
