I am well aware of the story of Dragon Ball GT and the reason why Goku was turned into a child. Arguably, Goku from GT may be stronger than Goku at the end of Dragon Ball Z, but at least in the anime, it seems quite the opposite. The same can be said about all the characters, really. Do you remember when in Dragon Ball GT, Trunks had to transform into a Super Saiyan because he couldn't lift a handful of bricks?

Pan's character was also greatly underutilized. I know her role was to appeal to the young male audience, but I believe much more could have been done with her. Japs are nice people indeed, they are well mannered degenerates and I love them for it.

Now that I think about it, I’ve only watched Dragon Ball Z in its entirety once. Dragon Ball GT is like the saga of Noah: great ideas but poor execution. Think about it for a moment: the evil Dragon Balls, Baby, Super Android 17, and especially the journey through the galaxy. Dragon Ball GT could have been a masterpiece, but the plot was wasted. Especially the journey through the universe. Toei could have turned that part into an unparalleled experience by showcasing many interesting planets and creepy characters. But I guess it’s difficult to make a space journey epic when we’re talking about the same space that was under the control of the gay albino gecko. And even though Goku’s powers were nerfed when he shrunk, we can’t forget about Trunks. Thanks but I also need to know how to insult someone in Japanese, or otherwise I won’t be able to enjoy my experience in the Land of the Rising Sun. I mean, the first english words I learnt were: Shit, fuck, Oh my God, yes, please, harder, don't stop.

I have never visited Japan, but I do not rule out the idea of doing so one day. Now that you mention it, in retrospect, Noah's saga isn't that bad, at least when I think about it carefully; however, despite having watched the original series many times from beginning to end, I never enjoyed that particular saga, I always found it boring as farwk. I suppose it's a saga with good ideas that, unfortunately, were poorly executed. The manga is very good; you're right about that, but unlike the anime, which I have watched several times, I have only read the manga once, lol. By the way, even though I'm not a native English speaker, I always watch Yu-Gi-Oh in English; in fact, the first time I watched Yu-Gi-Oh, I didn't understand English, so I didn't get what the characters were saying, but I liked it anyway. The downside of visiting Japan is that I don't speak Japanese, and people there don't speak with subtitles I'm afraid 😟 And about Dragon Ball Gt... Man, I love Dragon Ball Gt, it's part of my childhood, I can't hate it.

yeah, if there's anything I'm going to read it's probably going to be EL!

Have you been to Japan? Wow! You're absolutely right: in order to play competitively, you have to know your opponent's deck very well. That's why I tend to win more often when I play against strangers on the internet who don't know how my deck works than when I play against my real-life friends, who already know all my tricks. Do you know a good place where I can make friends to play Yu-Gi-Oh? The Dueling Nexus server is useless; nobody wants to play there -_- Don't worry about it, you don't have to be nice; everyone hates the Noa Saga lol I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh to win, I play to have fun.

Wish we had more seasons of the anime. One of my favorite animes 100%%. Too lazy to read the manga though! :P

You are right; the entire Orichalcos saga has many plot holes that I try to ignore simply because it is my favorite saga (even if it's filler). I don't know why, but as a kid, I was always fascinated by that saga. You host Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments? Why aren’t you my fellow countryman? I have never played competitively; I always play with thematic and weaker decks. I enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh!, although lately, I have dedicated more time to collecting cards than to playing, since almost no one plays Yu-Gi-Oh! where I live anymore. Do you use Discord? We should play Yu-Gi-Oh someday, just to test our decks. I can't practice with random people online because everyone is using them Tier zero decks; they pretty much play by themselves whilst you're just a spectator lol
perennial_suit Jan 22, 2:24 PM
when was the last time you watched Elfen Lied?
Morcys Jan 21, 8:11 PM
My favorite duel? Man I can't decide between these three: Yugi vs Kaiba (Battle city), Yugi vs Rafael and Yugi and Kaiba VS Dartz. Do you play Yu-Gi-Oh on Edopro or Dueling Nexus? If you do, we should play someday. I just play fun decks though, I'm not into META stuff.

Yes, but precisely because all the games are interconnected, the franchise feels like an anime, with each game resembling a saga. You can finish one game and then take a break, as you’ve completed a saga. The creators of the Trails world are absolute geniuses; I have played 11 Trails games, and there are still many mysteries to solve. The story and world of Trails are so complex and interesting that it’s hard for me to put them into words. If one day you decide to play Trails in the Sky (Trails 1) and manage to finish it, there will be no turning back you’ll be hooked for life, lol. Trails in the sky is getting a remake by the way.

I used to watch the Pokémon anime and read the manga, but I stopped doing that a long time ago. As for the video games, the last one I played was Ultra Sun, and I hated it with all my being. In my humble opinion, the Trails series is the video game franchise with the best story; all the games are interconnected, so to fully understand the plot, you have to start with the first game. Trails is the One Piece of video games or at least that's what I call it because of how long its story is and the number of mysteries and characters it has lol Not gonna lie, I am interested in the Tales series, the characters look awesome. In June of last year, I wanted to start playing a new video game franchise; two franchises caught my attention: Tales and Atelier. However, since I couldn't decide which one to choose, I asked a friend of mine for advice, and he recommended that I play Atelier. Atelier is the franchise I have played the most lately. It's funny, if my friend had told me to play Tales instead of Atelier, I would be playing Tales right now.

So you like the franchises of Pokémon, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Yakuza, and Tales. I’m a big fan of the first three, but I haven’t played any Yakuza games (although my brother really likes them). I also haven’t played any Tales games, since I’m a fan of Trails, and for some reason, I haven’t met anyone who likes both franchises; you either like Trails or you like Tales, you can’t like both, lol. If you like Final Fantasy X, I recommend you play Ys VIII; it’s one of my favorite video games. The story and world are simply phenomenal. I've heard a lot about Tales of Berseria, that's the most popular Tales game isn't?

I don't really watch anime parodies, but I remember watching a Yu-Gi-Oh! GX parody about 15 years ago and liking it. Three Houses? Fire Emblem: Three Houses? Wait, not only do you have a fine taste in manga and anime, but you also have exquisite taste in video games. Are you for real? Of course, I can recommend some JRPGs; that's my favorite video game genre! But before I do that, tell me what your favorite JRPGs are so I can get a better idea of what kind of JRPGs you like.
Morcys Jan 19, 9:08 AM
Bleach abridged? I didn't know that was a thing, lol. But I get it; I don’t watch long series anymore. My days of watching anime with more than 100 episodes are long gone. I'm too old for that. I’m more into video games these days.
Morcys Jan 17, 8:37 PM
Totally! I gotta say, I think the Elfen Lied manga is way better just because it’s longer. And yeah, I’ve seen those covers, Akira Toriyama is such a legend! Sure, most of Mär is about one big tournament, but honestly, that tournament is just epic; it’s definitely my fave anime tournament. Mär has a ton of characters with awesome designs and abilities... Man I love Mär! I like Naruto and Dragon Ball too but I always liked Bleach more.
