Another good episode. Now the enemies are all obvious and there's a big conspiracy going on with that group. I have a bad feeling about what might happen next.

I can't WAIT till you get to 13, the turning point in the series. That is when it will turn from a good series to a great one :)

(Be nice if I got the episodes right)

I see, now we know who is behind all this. But still, why the monsters?

As my friend tells me, there are not two, but a lot (like six or so) different sides to this conflict.

So far, I'm seeing the following:
* Mai, Mikoto, Natsuki
* Miyu and Alyssa (and the First District??)
* Nagi
* Nao
* Midori
* the absurdly powerful student council

I've seen two wham episodes so far, episode 8 I think and this one. Unfortunately, it seems that both of them are followed by comedy episodes--at least, that's what the trailer here for the next episode suggests.

Cyborg freak and deadly loli. Definitely a dangerous combination.

So now we have a whole group of conspirators. I will still like to know what that star is and were to all those monster come from. Are they some kind of Alien life forms?

Man, thought Duran was gonna go down this fight when she called him out, Durans not too tough and seems to be a one-trick-pony. Miyu is more than a match for Duran based on how easy she wasted the last HiME's child. Mai shouldn't have hesitated and held back though, wish she knew what we all knew! Shows getting better n' better! However i keep finding myself asking more and more questions without as many answers as time goes on. Still like 11-12 eps left, so i'm not too worried at this point.. but i hope it doesn't end badly :(

Miyu could probably have killed Duran there. But I guess it might have left herself exposed to attack too.

Interesting to see a glimpse of the guys behind the evident "bad guys"... Though I have to wonder what actually comprises this golden age or whatever that they keep talking about.
It's not as though the headmistress and that white haired guy are exactly open about their own intentions either.
There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

Yukino is revealed as a HiME and Diana is her Child! Coll design. Too bad she's not a really battle-centered HiME though. The detection can really come in handy!

When I first saw the series, I got worried when Natsuki materialized Duran too. I was like: "No, Natsuki! Miyu has already destroyed Hari and Akane's loved one, so you'll be next if you try to fight Miyu with Duran!" Thankfully Duran lived!

Some thoughts (not only about this episode):

- Where's Mikoto's Child? Is it the sword itself?
- What's the significance (if any) of nichrome vs silver bullets for Duran?
- Could Orhpans be something like Children in the past (with some "owner") but gone rogue? Or maybe controlled like that one-eyed thing of Nagi.
- Yukino was acting as if she didn't know about Mai?

Alice's father is the dude with a white hat, okay. I thought she'd kill the priest tbh.

I suppose this ends this little vampire arc, I was thinking this priest and his robot sidekicks were going to be the villains behind the scenes for a while longer but they were actually found out nearly half way through and the priest got fired AKA killed (I’m assuming), must really hurt to have your own creations turned against you by your bosses, also Miyu having a man’s voice talk through her was funny lol. This all just gets me more intrigued with whatever this “golden age” is that they’re trying to usher, it sounds great but if it involves causing the HiMEs to lose their loved ones and is being ran by this show’s equivalent of the Illuminati then it’s probably very very bad lol.

And we also got the reveals of two more HiME this episode with the Sister and Yukino, the 2nd one surprised me a bit but her love for Haruka has me worried she might end up losing her HiME somehow and lose Haruka as her price, the way they’ve set things up just leaves too many opportunities for death lol. And speaking of setting things up, I wonder why there’s no point in killing a HiME if their battle buddy isn’t present, does this mean a HiME is invincible if they don’t pull it out? It was probably just worded weird because that would make the HiMEs OP but I’m still curious as to why that is. And the last thing I wanted to mention was the battle this episode looked quite cool, the bat/moth orphan also had a cool design but suffered from a fire weakness apparently, that fiery blaze afterward looked awesome.
