Well, all good things must eventually come to an end.

And thus I say, Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei!

For those that still have not read it, we had a shocking ending!

GO READ Chapter 300-301 NOW!

Anyways, I really liked SZS, it was a great blend of Dark Comedy with Gag comedy.

Final Score = 8/10

Here is the final image of SZS....

He did it again.

It was all part of the master plan.

I will forever bow down to Kumeta, he is probably the only mangaka in the entire world who could provoke such a massive WTF moment.
Never will I look at the opening of the second season of the anime the same way.

I wish I could say at this point that it all makes sense now, but I'm still left with questions. The amount of foreshadowing in the OP/ED's alone still fascinate me. This definitely prompts me to watch the series over again.

And i thought that the op and ed had nothing to do with the actual plot of the manga...
Such a great end for this manga.

Looking back, the sheer amount of foreshadowing is amazing. I was just remembering that early chapter when Kafuka showed up with bandages on her arms, no other character seemed to notice but we all readers thought she was cutting herself due to a trauma hidden by the facade of her ultra possitive personality. To think what think what the real reason for that was

Well, well... if this isn't one of the most unique endings ever, what is?
Funny thing is that the anime made those faceless OPs without knowing what it really means ;P

Overall, creepy ending. Me gusta

I am left speechless I did not think the openings and endings of Sayonara Zetubou Sensei held any importance, but they did such an amazing end to an amazing manga.

I feel like ignoring the ending and pretending that Kafuka never died and got married to nozomu and had a happy end ;_;
Ugh what is with this insane ending.
Im fairly sure that the Kafuka in the church is actually Jun Kudou since he also had a blood transplant and if you look carefully you can tell that the Kafuka in the church is wearing a cross and the person who was heading to the church beforehand (i believe this is implied otherwise why would Jun Kudou appear at all in the last chapter?) was Jun.
Why the mind*** at the end ;_; i dont want SZS to end :(
The whole thing is just so screwed up now. I suppose its best not to think too much about it (although i think its a bit too late now).

I just finished the anime, and went onto reading the manga, I skipped a few chapters though, but it didn't make much of a difference. ANYWAY, I just read chapter 300-301. And that ending just blew me away. Everything makes sense now, I like how everything is tied together. After getting my mind f*cked and damaged for a couple of days, I felt like I needed to vent out some despair. Teehee. Im relatively new to the forums, sorry.
SPOILERS:

Well that's my interpretation of it anyway, not sure if its entirely accurate.
Anyway, what are your guys thoughts on these strange turn of events.

I have no idea why, but not a lot of people want to accept that it's Jun in the church; a couple of people label anyone that believes that it's Jun as a yaoi fangirl.
Kafuka possessing Jun has nothing to do with NozomuxJun though; even if Jun is being possessed, Nozomu sees Kafuka, so it doesn't really matter WHO Kafuka is possessing.

What's worse is that most that deny that it's Jun pull out these reasons why it's not Jun but not one of them is valid.

A good storyteller isn't going to have Jun say that he attempted suicide and had to get a blood transfusion (the same conditions as the girls) just to have it there.

I'm glad I'm not crazy for still thinking that the Kafuka in the church is possessing Jun.

Enjoy your anime! | Witch Cafe Wisteria

What's really disturbing is when you watch the SZS special, there was a hint of how the ending of the manga would be, in the part of chiri-chan;s turns to sing and where Abiru-chan(bondage girl) said "It's more fearsome if a small part of something is different instead of the whole thing " thus revealed that they each have a part of kafuka. Shit that hit me hard.
Damn the ending has given me a nostalgic feeling of Angel Beats and Puella Magica which started as fun show that leads to a very deep and dark ending.

Oh well, all I can say is that it was a happy ending (at the same time creepy) where he ended up with all the girls.

First time seeing a Harem ends, where the main protagonist get all the girls.
Because some harem ends without choosing a partner.
Base on what i have read and watch so far. :3

Absolute mastermind. Of all the sappy things I've teared up with having to do with Japan anime and manga this is the least sappy overall but most deserving of tears

It has been almost six years but I can't stop thinking about the final chapters.

I can only dream to be this good at foreshadowing someday. Bless you, but also screw you, Kumeta.

What a crazy ending. I was slightly spoiled but damn, I was not expecting this to be the ending.

A good ending aside, the manga as a whole hasn't left me very impressed. It was funny in the beginning but it gets tiring to get through it after the first 50 chapters. There are occasional moments in between but like a lot of long-running gag manga, it just can't maintain it's enjoyment throughout it's run.

I will give this though, it is very well written. A biting insight into Japanese society and sometimes even the rest of the world. 5/10.

This one was definitely a great ride. From all these amazing characters, hilarious moments, clever jokes and banters. All actually leads to such a tragic revelation that were right under our nose all along. To think that these lively girls had dark pasts.

I'm grateful for the fact that I stumbled upon this anime/manga and think I won't be able to move on for a while now.

@Cyber_Ryoga THATS WHAT I’M A LITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT TOO. I know this manga explained this many times but even when I look back at those chapters, I still can’t completely understand it or comprehend it. What a mindfuck but enjoyable ending!
