If I know one thing about being in the anime fandom is that pissing off anime fans is almost too easy, I don't even have to try. In fact, I can do it while blindfolded or sleeping. I find it hard to believe Chibi got harrased over Boruto of all things, I thought Naruto fans hated that show so much so that if you look up Boruto's MAL page, there's more negative reviews than positive. But I'm just having all the more incentive to never get involved in the larger anime community. I mainly just keep to my circle online, family members and conventions.

I never cared for Chibi but sounds crazy as fuck. Shit like this is why I try to actively avoid passionately discussing anime now, things were more fun for me back in the 00s when I didn't even know what exactly anime was. I'm trying to recreate those days even if doing it 1:1 is impossible due to me being older and circumstances are different now. Giving ratings on MAL does a good enough job at me enjoying the show while having some validation for what I watched. I'll write a review on occasion but a prequiste is that I need to spend a good amount of time with the show in question for me to do it.

Looks like a dodged a bullet by not actively talking to people on here, I've been getting attacked for having a different opinion on anime for as long as I can remember. My avatar being Sam Fisher is pretty much part of my whole gimmick of, "talking about anime while keeping a low profile as much as I can".

I'm mainly curious in how you discovered my account. MAL is the kind of site I try to keep a low profile on since I anger people in the anime community pretty easily. I don't want to post on the forums since I'm scared of someone angering me and getting banned. Getting banned on a site like Reddit, I don't care for but getting banned off backlogging sites I used like HowlongtoBeat, MAL and IMDB from time to time would mess with me emotionally.

I don't want to be rude here since you seem interesting but I don't recall us speaking before, or even remember seeing you before. Outside of my reviews, blogs, backlogging and adding people I already know beforehand on this site, I don't really use MAL for discussions.

I was just recently thinking of rewatching Kizumonogatari II and maybe bumping it up to a 7. Thanks for the accidental reminder.

Tatami Galaxi is super mediocre and just a little pretentious - not as pretentious as Eva or monogatar, though!
For me the second Kizumonogatari movie is easily the best thing in that franchise that I've seen, but I've given up on watching more because getting through Bake and Nise was excruciating, so I've sworn to never go back to the anime "just in case it gets good". The Kizumonogatar movies are not as boring as the anime. I will go back to the manga, though. The art was very good. Shame that the characters are still unlikeable and that it's full of text walls.
I gotta watch Gunbuster. I forgot that that existed.

Normally, I wouldn't call 7.2 a low rating since I only rate good shows a 7, but it's pretty easy to get an 8 on this website, so I think it's unfair. What I think is an even bigger travesty is Draling in the FranXX having a 7.2 also, while dogshit like monogatari, Frieren and Evangleion get rated as if they are God tier. Statistically, I might have pissed you off with that last sentence. What do you think?

I think people blew it out of proportion. I do wish the anime got some animation corrections but that doesn't seem likely. It's still a very unique anime even if someone wasn't familiar with the manga. Did you hear about a potential new Cutie Honey thing. It might just be merchandise and not an actual anime. There's pictures going around of Cutie Honey Nova where she has tech based gear.

So far, I think it's pretty good. The 14th episode, if I remember correctly, had an amazing ending, but I wish the story followed up more with what is going on in the real world, instead of immediately getting into a rescue plot, although I like romantic damsel in distress plots. Also, it's not most people that give it a 5. It's the very vocal opposition meming the show because some youtuber told them to. My rating is close to the average rating of the show here and on IMDB.
