Umm, that is one of the ugliest Gundam I've ever seen... :S
So is it a new type of Gundam that specializes in powerful punches and kicks? Why does that sound so familiar?

So wait, the red one is the 2nd Gundam of the series already? Guess this is the Freedom of the series...

Decent episode. Good to see some old school elements of war in this series. the whole Zalam (sound familiar?) and Euba conflict is very reminiscent of the old UC era. Ugh, why didnt that old fart Vargas told the kids to stop? Seriously these kids are getting on my nerves. The last child that did something productive was the little girl from SEED that got killed before Kira's eyes.

Can't wait for the Emily bashing.

The ending and the PokeGundam was just plain bad...even considering kiddy designs in this series.

This series just continues to be full of wtf. Emily being Emily as usual. And UE being UE as usual using their ninja skills to get inside the colonies. Federation being as useless as usual. These Zalam and Euba guys don't know how to fight either. They're seriously tripping each other... in mobile suits? And you would think since the Gundam has boosters, it could at least hover or jump long distances or something but no, it has to run instead. The animation is getting pretty sloppy too. I think 00 looked way better than this. At least Sunrise knows where their priorities are and are funneling resources to Unicorn.

I am starting to dislike Gundam Age. There are too many flaws to list out, and things just getting more illogical and retarded with each episode, ranging from animation to character-wise.

As for this episode, I'm totally fine with the new gundam appearance.
but I hate those kids and the professor. Things get worst, when shyt don't make any sense.
WHAT ARE THEY STILL DOING IN ThE freakin truck? You thought some little kids was able to convince the adults? effective? o.O dude..its a war zone out there for god's sake.
what's more , when the Euba forces arrives, I was like, "OMFG they are still standing still at the same location, bring the kids and drive away you stupid professor" and my wish was not granted. and there goes your typical shounen cliche with the "last-minute-hero appearance and save the girl". *poker face*

2/5 .

They really revealed about Grodek's family this early on huh? And looked like Grodek was somehow expected Flit to be "aye lets get em" since they both lost their family to the UE but Flit wasn't looking all on board.

Rest of the episode tho was just..........: Too much convenient factors, piss poor animations, fights uneventful, rallies held by Emily, a Gundam forty yard dash. I just want to laugh this episode off and forget that i watched it. The canister floating over Emily's head and landing in the yard. The sound it made in the air and when it hit the ground. Just comedy. "Gundam head twitches suddenly turns left" Flit: "This is the gundam evolution!!!"" Episode just killed me. Definitely not watching this one twice.

I'm new to the forum here, did anyone else realize that the Zalam insignia is reminiscent of the Zaft forces insignia? On top of that the painting in the beginning was a portrait of what looked like the RX-78-2 Gundam? Can't they be more consistent with their tie ins to Gundam history? Now I really didn't care too much for the fight scenes in this episode also. They should have at least made the guys in the Zalam and Euba mobile suits more competent with their mobile suits. I know this is supposed to be geared more towards kids but this is getting stupid.

No it's the same Gundam but with a new weapon. To keep the Seed comparison this would be the Strike getting its Sword pack.

I didn't really like this episode, more kids and new design is terribly bad.

And dropeed. I can't take it anymore. Between the kiddy look of the show, the dumbed down plot, the boring characters, the annoying kids, the (so far) cliche enemies and the stupid, STUPID adults, this is not a Gundam show. This is a piss poor excuse to get kids into Gundam by making something for the lowest common denominator with as little effort and funds as possible. I don't know what the hell Sunrise was thinking, but I hope to God that this fails hard, financially, so that they never think about doing something this stupid again.

What the HELL?! Gundam evolution my left foot, why not just call it the Deus-Ex Machina Creator. That's what it is. Can't beat an enemy? Don't worry, the Deus-Ex Machina Creator will pull a new weapon out of it's ass for you to use (and us to sell more toys). Also, calling it now: The UE have their own Deus-Ex'Omatic that acts the exact same way.

Decent episode, but nothing much interesting happened until the UE appeared. I was kinda hoping Emily would do something cool instead of just rally, but meh.

So now he is literally going to beat the shit out of his enemies with that new upgrade that the AGE system made.

First episode that I didnt like.
Gundam running like stupid, tripping mobile suits, stupid kids and a sudden drop in quality.
Horizon seems to be sucking the production values of Sunrise's fall shows :/
At least the 'dont drag the past in the present' thing made it a bit interesting.
That white mobile suit in the preview looks sweet. Maybe it's Woolf's. Sweet.

And you know things are bad when MAL rankings are fixed and this show is in the 3k mark.
Though Horizon is in the 4k mark :/

MAL rankings don't really mean anything. I disagree with a whole hell of a lot of them and while I used to get mad, I just ignore them now because I realize that I disagree with like 90% of the people on this site when it comes to taste.

To touch on the episode itself, I enjoyed it. It was pretty slow but next episode looks awesome and I dug that Grodek and Flit had actual character interaction for once. And to everyone bitching about the pace of the show, I don't really see the problem, every Gundam show I've seen is this slow or even slower. Zeta Gundam is my favorite Gundam show and that took like 15 episodes to really kick off.

Ok the rifle that was made several episodes ago is now useless? Maybe the UE are like the Borg in Star Trek who adapt to phaser fire after several shots... O_o Or maybe not. LOL

I bet the Age system and the UE use the same technology and Flit's father is an alien! (maybe not the last part)

I've stopped watching the show at episode 2 and I had the same thought. I mean, they do not make much effort to hide it, that the Gundam's technology is similar to the UE. They probably also have the Age system. So the UE are either aliens or some secret group of humans, like an evil Celestial Being.

If you people had made the trouble to watch the last part after the ending song you would have gotten your answer. That Mobile suit that could defend against the beam rifle was a model the UE already had and not something they build for Gundam. It's just a different model based on heavier armor. It's probably a model quite fitting for defense and closer land battles but not as flexible.

Why would they do that? Everyone's too busy showing off how they know fuck-all about Gundam.

Having the kids show up was hilarious. Tomino said once that Gundam was about how adults were evil and basically got in the way of children making the world better. (Hence, NewTypes.) This episode just showed it off directly. A bunch of old-ass empires fighting over nothing while the children asked for things to change. Awesome.

As far as Flit getting armor for his Gundam...GTFO. It's not a completely new suit or anything. Amuro and Kamille both received weapons/upgrades (and that's all these are--not new suits) over the course of their series. Just admit you don't WANT to like this series and stop proving how little you know about Gundam while you wank over Unicorn like a bunch of hipsters.

I think the AGE system is starting to grow on me. How could you not like something that literally produces plot armor, and says you need bigger fists and gives them to you? But as seems to be a pattern with this show. You have some rather dumb people and dumber situations making me roll my eyes throughout. But I guess it all serves a purpose. And the Mazinger Z style add-on isn't bad either. A bit jarring, but not bad.

Here comes the Gundam Maxter from G Gundam.
I think the target audience of this show are children, maybe thanks to Level 5, but i don't think this is bad, it's just very simple and silly.
