A little sad to see Chosokabe get owned like that, but it's good to see some action. Also glad to hear Toyotomi's theme music again. It's just epic.

The next episode preview was also weird... Why is Masamune fighting Takeda? Also, who the hell was fighting Yukimura? Should be very exciting.

So much for Chousakabe and his fortress Fugaku. I bet Toyotomi could've destroyed it all by himself.

Haha. The guy in the preview was Miyamoto Musashi? He's just a tad different from what one would expect after reading Vagabond...

This was one of the most epic episodes yet! But...

I was really quite sad for Chousokabe and his awesome fortress. It really was a work of art, and probably a bitch to build ;__;

Also, how freaking tall is Toyotomi!? He made Chousokabe look like a little kid.

This is one of the few anime series that has me waiting frantically for the next episode! I NEED MORE!

Toyotomi needs to stop taking steroids.
Though it was quite a good fight, even if it was somewhat one-sided.

Anyway, sure, it is Yukimura after all, but damn, he needs to stop doing so stupid things. Just focus on your mission instead D:
See? It cost you Oyamada-dono D:

Also, not enough Engrish to make this episode a 5/5 \| ̄ヘ ̄|/
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(゚Д゚щ) Nope™, probably not.

The battle between Toyotomi and Chosokabe was awesome. But he can't die, right? or did he. Ah I heard Namikawa Daisuke voice in the preview.

wtf is up with mushashi using twin WOODEN BLADES? come on forquite possibly japan's greatest swordsman you make him a kid and let him use twin swords??? that's not right

Hideyoshi is too damm broken. i mean really, he can freaking push the sea back with one punch. That's like wow...

otherwise it was pretty good, sucks oyamada died though.

History Lesson 101:
In Miyamoto Musashi's most famous battle against Kojiro Sasaki he totally violated bushido by arriving hours later. During this time he sharpened a wooden oar on his boat into a sword so it could match the reach of Sasaki's Drying Pole, which was most likely what we know as a no-dachi. Thus, one of his two weapons in Sengoku Basara being essentially a sharpened boat oar actually has historical basis.

In his second most famous battle Musashi invented the "Twin Swords Against an Army" technique in which he utilized his katana for striking and his wakizashi for parrying. Two swords, obvious enough.

Secondly, Musashi regularly violated every form of bushido and many of the other people of his time considered him an immature vagabond. This is possibly why in a lot of popular fiction Musashi is depicted as a child.

Now this isn't from some manga or another anime I saw this is from Musashi's personal writings, the Books of the Five Rings.

God Yukimura is a naive idiot, its never the naive ones that pay the price, its the ones under his command.

He goes and gets his force killed in a losing battle because he likes the other guys. Damn it where is Shigen to kick his ass right now?

You want to go around the world spounting your naive sense of justice and right? Leave the Takeda and become a vagabond like Keiji then.

Seriously WTF was that. His obviously Super Sayan. After those tricks he pulled i was looking for a tale.
Awesome battle though. To bad the pirate lost like that. I hoped he would be able to give a little harder time To Hideyoshi.

Yukumira really sucks as a general. That battle was already lost when he decided to intervene. It was a stupid decision. He should have just continued on his mission.

The green helmet guy will follow Hideyoshi until the end now? Doesn't he want to became the ruler of Japan? It seems like his following him now because is the best strategy, but what about the future?

Now this isn't from some manga or another anime I saw this is from Musashi's personal writings, the Books of the Five Rings.

- Musashi carved a bokken from the oar, he didn't use a sharpened oar.
- Musashi didn't invent Ni-Ten Ichi Ryu during a battle.
- I read the Book of the Five Rings two times. And I can say that Miyamoto Musashi is anything but childlike.
- Musashi didn't violate every form of bushido. After his duel with Sasaki Kojiro, Sasaki's supporters thought what Musashi did was dishonorable. However Musashi's supporters thought that it was a clever move and a fair way to irritate his opponent.
Musashi is a man who is associated with bushido very often.
Plus, bushido is not a strict code where there are things one should follow and not to follow. It's not even mentioned in texts which supposedly describe this code of conduct.
There is no such thing as a unified "samurai code".

Hideyoshi is so ridiculously strong it's kind of annoying. Parting the seas? Yeesh. Still, quite an interesting epic battle, I was hoping for more sea combat but oh well. Yukimura jumping in and getting his second in command killed seemed pointless.

How the fuck are they supposed to defeat Toyotomi? We're at the halfway mark of the series and Toyotomi's OWNED everyone that he's fought against and walked away with not even a scratch.

OMG! There must be a limit to how unrealistic a battle should be!
Chosokaba vs Hideyoshi was a great battle, but well... Hideyoshi smashing the sea and making it withdraw somewhere... okay. But then, he said retreat, and the water came back! Come on, that's ridiculous! ^^

I have to say, I had a total fit of laughter when Oyamada got skewered by a mob of mooks. It was worse than my playing Dynasty Warriors 3.

Awesome Chosokabe screen-time! The guy definitely could use more love. I absolutely adored the way IG animated his one-handed spear-swinging, and some of the camera angles used in this episode were spectacular.

As for Toyotomi, he's just a beast. And his theme song gets played too often.

WHAT...THE....FUCK....DID I JUST WATCH? When I first saw Toyotomi punch a hole in the sky with a pump fist, I was like... errr... maybe Takeda can do something similar... so I let it slip... But did this guy just split the fucking SEA with a FIST??? This guy makes Goku look like a loli. I don't get what the point of bringing an army so huge was if Toyotomi could've just Solo'd LoL.

Yuukimura, just go home and regroup man. You can't do shit here.

Finally a pirate was in the fray too. I was like hey, finally a new badass...but the second Toyotomi's theme played.... I knew it was hopeless.
