Oh man, Kunai's social skills and interactions with the cast is comedy gold in these new episodes. I like Mikan though. She's got that sort of tomboyish personality.

Kunai went item farming but he's actually quite a badass this episode. Maybe we'll see more of that Prison Labyrinth this season?

So ... Between the animations which I find low cost, the ra** of the girl coming out of nowhere just to make disgusting drama, the "funny" chibi moments which are just poorly animated whereas it was better before with the jokes out of step with the serious faces, and especially the characters who have all changed their design for nothing and which no longer matches their personality at all and which are just as generic as possible, and the music/sound effects which are placed at moments where there are no need, and too loud at times. For me it's a no. If I hadn't watched S1 yesterday before moving on to S2 to remind myself of the story, I might have continued watching despite the animation that I don't like, but now I can't because the S1 is not a masterpiece, far from it, but S2 is worse in every way. I can't give credit to a studio that destroys a work, and does worse than another small studio 6 years ago. I hope that the people who continue to watch will have a good time, I'll stop there. Strength my brothers and good viewing

If the first two episodes had too much retelling of the previous season, this episode is great. The plot finally continued, and the redesign of the characters in the second season, not for the first time ever. Yuu is still a great sadist, Yukikazu is still a great trap, and Kunai is even better.

A definite improvement over the horrid “recap” episodes 1 and 2, but this season still has some problems to work out to be anywhere near as good as season 1.

At least we are finally moving on with the story.

I won’t be dropping it just yet(which was what I was expecting my reaction to be) but it’s not off the chopping block just yet.

The story finally progressed in this episode, I’m not one of the folks that were majorly turned off by the recap-ish first two episodes but I am happy to see the story continue after all these years and not get recapped for a 3rd episode lol. And it actually picked up right where Season 1 ended, the hero that looks like he also got isekai’d showed up along with his guards, and Kunai explored the dungeon with Mikan and Yukikaze after all this time, and of course with those two there were plenty of fun moments and great inappropriate lines by Yukikaze, if anything hasn’t changed between seasons it’s the trap lol. I will say tho, I thought when Yukikaze summoned that ice sleigh, the VA’s delivery of the line did not match the animation, I get it fits the character for that kind of delivery but he looked so happy summoning the sleigh lol, idk just seemed odd to me.

But that wasn’t the only thing that was odd this episode, I do have to admit the art and animation is lacking at times, I think in general this season looks better than the first but that isn’t saying a lot because that season looked rough a lot of the time lol, but I think after this I won’t be commenting on it again, because otherwise every post will be repeating the same thing. The end of this episode was very interesting tho with Kunai being taken over by the ring and seeing flashbacks of his original world getting destroyed, I was wondering if that ring would ever be relevant lol. And Kunai even discovered a secret lab in the dungeon, he found that quite easily for something no one else knew about but I’m interested in seeing what he encounters in there. Also that bit with the invaders of Rabby Village was fun, can’t really say I feel bad for them being tortured by Yu after we saw what a fuck their leader was, I like the show best when it’s being silly but damn that was some brutal stuff both from him and Yu, and also Kunai when he ended those bandits in the dungeon, but then again the show has always been like this when you consider the Satanists of the first season lol.

This Show has always had a bit of a brutal undertone, and it showed today. Still, Yu giving that creep what he deserved made my day. Was better than the first 2 episodes.

At least we had no recaps this week.

The episode was mostly average at best.

However, the ending twist was enough to keep me interested in seeing how the next few episodes play out.

I still can't get over how bad the character design changes are though.

It may have been aired a couple of years ago, but I don't remember the first season of this having this many "suck this hard thing" kind of jokes.

Was a funny episode though. Not sure if I missed something with him and the "White Hero" already knowing each other though...?

Ken Tsuda can't carry this.

3 eps in and the best thing so far is the ED. It's the only place where we get any semblance of quality with Minotake's character design.

Those jokes only happen around Yukikaze, he can't help himself apparently.

This was a much better episode than the first two, but I still feel like the pacing is off and they're leaving out things that would explain the plot better.

Another entertaining episode as expected with Yukikaze & Mikan tagging along.
Guess we will have to wait and see if Kunai can get the hero on his side.
Yuu is as savage as ever, I don't feel sorry for Milligan one bit though.
Looking forward to seeing what happens next time with Kunai in that ending place.

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

Ill keep watching to see if it gets any better, but if nothing changes.... this shows getting at most a 3.

what is it with studios getting decent story lines and completely screwing up the production and the final product!

Again, this studio continues to butcher characters. A solid 30 seconds is wasted in the beginning of this episode with the "you saw, didn't you" gag that doesn't even let the viewers see anything. Not that I'm a huge fan of forced and nondiegetic fan service to begin with, but this episode goes out of its way to deny even that while still doing the lame gag. Emphasis on the 'gag' when it comes to the delivery.

They've also found a way to make Yukikaze even more annoying than ever before (manga, LN, or Season 1 anime) with the sexual innuendos. Not to mention the character designs continue to underwhelm. The music is wildly out of tone for the scenes. And, the pacing continues to be awful. This story manages to feel rushed, slow and accomplishing nothing all at the same time.

God the music is awful. A lot of times, it's so loud, it drowns out the dialogue (which is also awful), but there's absolutely no sense of matching the scene.

Things are wildly rushed, including the scene with Hakuto talking to Sir Weeb, or whatever his name is actually supposed to be. When Milligan goes to Rabbi village on Dona's orders, the music ruins it, but it's also wildly rushed. This season of the anime just fails to nail anything.

It's stunning how rushed this episode is compared to the first two, which wasted most of their time on pre-isekai information that adds virtually nothing to the overall plot. EKACHI EPILKA studio not making this season is a humongous letdown. Gekkou has dropped the ball hard.

Hakuto together with Yukikaze and Mikan going to Rookie Town's Prison Labyrinth in Rabby Village, and meeting its two heroes of various figures, one looking like an otaku and the other like the Three Stooges. And Hakuto in his camouflage sneak seeks the Brave out in his private moment, though he'd be rather just left alone to his own devices.

Hakuto literally carrying Mikan to the entrance (that brings jealousy to Yukikaze) of the labyrinth, it's a total festival in the cave with the horde of monsters, as well as a killing from outside of the village from a group of frenetics trying to spy the village. Moreover, Hakuto having to deal with troublemakers and the like in the Prison Labyrinth, but the discovery of a gun in a treasure chest and a literate monster factory of a recycling plant, he's ready to deal more damage with a world that doesn't feel like its wholly his.

A considerable improvement over the last few episodes, though I'm still holding on because of the story elements.

I'm still getting whiplash from the design and style change every time a character we haven't seen much pops on screen. Music is too loud. I didn't completely hate this episode and at least the story is moving so I'll keep watching (for now).

Editting feels jumpy random, but we're going places at least. Mikan & Yukikaze kinda funny. unexpected tomboy being tsun.
oh Gundam hero. Why mc & otaku talking while invisible about porridge? so weird.
Yu face so different, but finally back to scary. So random, mc fighting DM? Tron simpler but more elegant design. Each source got its own designs so guess it's ok.

this series was heavily censored compared to the light novel. Yu is a insane shotacon and yet a key scene with her shotacon tendencies is MIA. If you anime Adaptation of a Futabasha series Drop it like the plague it is.

Did anybody knows that in episode 3 when he was having a smoke he would constantly throw them away. as well as the length of the smoke was absolutely ridiculous the animation style absolutely sucks, like I can understand making a sequel on an anime
that already exists but damn they've just made the characters try to look like the old characters but chibi and they just don't have it down the characters look both fat and skinny but also short and tall sadly I don't think they know what they're doing and I will most likely end up dropping the series I was excited when I heard there was a season 2 coming out but after this episode and seeing how much it jumped around like it wasn't where he'd walk through an entrance way and you'd seen walking to the next room it was oh look there's a door now I'm in another room so three episodes in and I just can't keep going. Very disappointing

They have flat out ruined the looks of every character, Mikan looks like a child compared to the way she looked in the first season. Yuu is the same, the characters look so blah now, I have lost all interest in this "sequel" I will go back and rewatch the first season and read the manga and ignore this "sequel" ever came out! It's such a waste of my time to watch this disgusting filth!

Besides how they downplayed the horrendous acts of how the story was much more darker than it should've been,
especially the kidnapping of a girl and used as a punching bag—the righteous justice that came from Yuu was so badly adapted that I was literally appalled on how they adapted it.

Anyway, if you saw Tron's character design, it was actually an upgrade for some reason and she became more womanly, while the main characters' character design, is as you see it, still unappealing to the eyes.

Mikan has a very cute and feminine voice than what the source manga has portrayed so far, but yucks, how they drew her is like from another anime or game that has no similarities to the current characters designs used. It's like there are various people who designed them instead of just a single person. It's rather bad, but Mikan's VA was rather cute to listen.

P.S. Remind me why the mob characters has a better character designs than the main characters...?! lol

...and so, the story becomes more confusing if you haven't read the manga source.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Oh my god!!! What have they done to Mikan? She used to be so thick and dense in all the right places. Now she just looks like a washed-up dishrag. Yukikaze, in comparison, didn't get ruined to that extent, but they've completely ruined Mikan's design.

The story has finally started to progress, but I’m still confused by Maou’s interaction with the hero. It doesn’t flow well—Maou suddenly receives a report about the food situation from the hero, but we never saw any contact between them before that.

It feels a bit disconnected and doesn’t fit with the story’s pacing.

I do, however, appreciate the jokes about sucking hard things. We definitely need more of that to add some flavor to this otherwise bland adaptation.
