At this point in the show, it looks like Saki finally opens herself more to others especially her classmates.

Feelings also connect between Saki and Yuuta although the mood of the show is still very similar to all the other episodes. The talk, the embrace...I think they'e come a really long way since being first introduced to the show.

I was expecting more buildup before Yuta and Saki would finally express their feelings, and I definitely didn’t think it would happen so soon. But that final scene took me by surprise, and I couldn’t help grinning like an idiot while watching it.

I love the message. Despite their complicated situation and the social taboos surrounding them, they chose to be honest with their feelings. I could go on about morality and how there's no absolute right or wrong in this world, but I don’t think this is the place for that discussion.

Went into here expecting another DomeKano, but I came out getting something better. It's nothing like DomeKano at all. It really just is nothing more than a brother and his days with his stepsister.

Saki has grown a lot from her early days of independence, to trusting and leaning on people for help.

Saki is gaining popularity enough to get hit on by Shinjo and reject him as it is, and as much as Yuta's looking out for her while on his "date" with Fujinami to talk about his complicated feelings of love for his stepsister, both Saki and Yuta are basically peas in a pod trying to overcome what should be a typical romantic love, but of being family-knitted instead. And Yuta's old self reminding Fujinami of her old nightmare until she was taken in by her auntie to settle her heart down, it's all matters of the heart by being human, and if Yuta doesn't resolve seeing Saki is either a stepsister or a potential lover, he could very well soon spiral out of control.

With conflicting feelings, Yuta confesses his side of the heart to Saki, and the latter continuing to feign ignorance until she gets the meaning across, it's understandable of the urge that the former has that's enough to throw her feelings off as well, which Yuta unfortunately bombed, but Saki took him in to reasssure him that it's not only normal to feel this way, but she would be happy regardless of how he feels for her, being siblings or otherwise. And with both having a family-first mindset, compromises and the like come as normal, although this weight is a rather heavy burden to hold by just one person alone to work together.

From brother and sister, to tomorrow and tomorrow.

What a poignant finale, it's just too good, and I'm just happy that Ghost Mikawa finally has his story to tell of a socially inept family that can compromise for the better. Defintely one of the standouts of the season, that's for sure.

What a great adaptation, I really, really enjoyed each week. I think the static shots and voice acting bring a new dimension to the original work and make it an experience that truly encompasses the feelings these characters have.

Perfecting ending sequence.

A satisfying ending to a nice anime.
The story was nice and it was done with a calm atmosphere which made it nice to watch.
I also like the characters as the tried to understand their feelings.
Hopefully things will work out for them.

That was a masterpiece finale. However, there were some alterations. But they weren't important at this point, guess so.
This is at the end of vol.4 of the light novel. You can continue by reading vol.5 or read everything from the beginning starting from vol.1 because the light novel will give you more detail furthermore into the story.

Hopefully, this series will get a sequel soon.

In awe. Incredible finale from one of the greatest romance anime of all time. Thank you Ueno Souta for this masterpiece. Saki and Yuta’s gradual realisation of their feelings for one another has been one of the most enjoyable journeys in recent seasonal anime.

Every episode oozed with passion and attention to detail, culminating in the last 5 minutes of this episode which is some of the best intimacy I’ve seen in the medium. Makeine and Roshidere got all the hype, but this and Giji harem were the best romances by a very big margin.

Fujinami was the real MVP of this episode and after hearing about her backstory, I wish her nothing but the best. She only appeared in a few episodes, but ended up being the catalyst behind the biggest development in the story so far! Giving Yuta the courage he needed to finally be selfish and change his relationship with Saki. Yea, shit might be messy and difficult, but you’ll never be happy if you keep all of that bottled up. Share your burdens with others. Give and take as the theme of the episode goes.

I appreciate that they didn’t drag things out with Yuta seeing Fujinami and Saki with her date. In some shows, *cough cough* Futakire, this would’ve been a really long drawn out drama. People just act like normal human beings in this show which is why it’s so great.

The final third of the episode is just phenomenal. Yuta not beating around the bush and straight up confessing how he feels to Saki and then her coping, trying to downplay his feelings. After bottling her own feelings up for so long and thinking there’s no way Yuta felt that way towards her, I get it. There’s also the matter of not wanting to make things difficult for their parents which I imagine will be the next hurdle in the story.

“ I think I can help you carry those feelings. Let’s figure this out together and protect what we have” beautiful beautiful ending. It’s ok to not know what to do or where to go from here. Take it one day at a time and share some of that load, you’ll reach the answers together. That OST and the post credits scene got me emotional as well. I could talk all day about this episode and why this show was so good, I’m going to miss it so much ❤️ onto the books now.

I really came to like Kaho's character in the short period since she was introduced. Did a lot already like this episode where she helped sort out Yuuta's feelings. He actually went ahead and confessed but it became awkward cause Saki's still confused. Nonetheless it was still very cute. From here on they can both work together to learn things and also understand their feelings better. Good episode to end the season, actually made me wanting more.

As for the season as a whole it was pretty slow with limited animation but props to the director for directing it well. Specially the Saki pov episodes. Though I still didn't like how the entire anime had very few background settings which I know is also because of how the story is heavy on their interactions which happens in the same few places but still it felt repetative at times.

This was one of the animes I was looking forward to the most from this season and while it felt underwhelming at times but it did had some really good episodes like 9 and also 6,7 I think? which I liked and this finale was the cherry on top. Hoping for a new season announcement sometime soon.

I used to pray for times like this😭♥️

" " & " " was "tomorrow" & "tomorrow"
Beautiful ending to a beautiful anime.

First I have give my thanks to Kaho. What a brilliant addition in most limited time she had became the best side character. The things she had to go through with her parents no wonder she lost trust in humanity. But she was able to overcome this and expressed her feelings. So she was able to emphasize with Yuuta and gave the best advice.
"You can express feeling are selfish things"

The later half is absolutely Goated..
This is what the series building towards.
Yuuta finally confessed her feelings to Saki. She tried to ran away from this and hide her own feelings as well. But soon she admitted and let Yuuta's feelings in.

"Does this help"
"Thanks for having the courage to tell me"
"It really would have weighted heavy on you. But don't worry. I will help you in carrying the weigh"
"The feelings you have for me as brother or something special.. I am okay with it, I am happy with it"

These words define their entire journey together. Finally letting their hearts pour out and admitting to each other. Saki would have been so happy and relieved that indeed he has receprocated her feelings and it indeed shattered her.
They still can't do it "officially" to keep their parents happy but still siblings with benefits.. that will do.
Having the other by your side is better than sharing the same regret and keeping it bottled up. So happy for these two, hope the keep helping each other throughout.
"Together we can carry this weight"
"As two special, especially close.."

"From now on Ayase-san I will count on you"
"So I want you to count on me too"
"Lets, figure this out together..."

I expected something big and it didn't let me down. The entire anime didn't and was way better than I ever imagined. The story is slow, dramatic took its time build something special and delivered so perfectly...
Kudos to author and brilliant adaptation. Nothing special yet so beautifully animated. I don't really expect a S2 but even if it doesn't atleast it ended so sweetly..
Yuuta and Saki are one of the best "couples" I have seen. Both are grounded and to the fault nice person. They deserve all the happiness in the world and a life together as a special one..
Incest WINCEST has never been this beautiful and heartwarming♥️

That was peak story telling and directing.
Props to the Director and his staff.

I wondered how he was gonna confess and I was not disappointed.
Saki as mucha s possible wanted to deny or make up excuses as to why Yuta liked her but he just broke all her defenses and got through to her.
So happy for the both of them.

I need another season. I hope it's the same director. 9.4/10

Damn, I don't think a show like this has ever made me feel this way after finishing it. This is most definitely an exaggerated comparison, but it's a little like how I felt after finishing Nier: Automata (Game), I can't articulate it that feeling well.

I can't believe it, after the dread from last episode, we made significant strides in this one. From the start of the episode alone, we already got a very good monologue from Saki.

And in just a few episodes, well, actually mostly because of this episode, Kaho became such a fantastic character. It really got me when I realized the 2 butterflies she was chasing represented her parents.

Very mature progression too on Saki and Yuuta's relationship, they didn't just immediately became a couple just like that, they have to navigate through their feelings first while trying to not cause trouble for their parents. That is going to be very difficult and I am pretty sure it is unavoidable, but they're going to figure it out together and that's beautiful.

That episode title is so peak " and ", I love that they hid it till the end. I really hope we get a second season, maybe even more. This show was definitely the biggest surprise for me this season and it is one of the top shows for me this season for sure.

OMFG! A two totally normal human being in an anime.

honestly it's refreshing to see how this played out. they're both confused about their feelings and the relationship-how they should see one another. despite the challenges they're facing, they decided to set things straight.

From now on, they'll work together to figure it out.

What a beautiful finale, It exceeded my expectations. This is a great adaptation of the Novel. If anyone is wondering the anime ended at volume 4, You can start reading from volume 5 or you can read from volume 1 to further experience the things which are cut from the anime.

Hope this anime gets another season, Untill then i'll be heading to my LN basement.

First of all, it really needs a new season. Some report that the content of the next several volumes make it great, so it's criminal if they don't announce a new season. It will be a renaissance to Studio Deen's reputation.

Anyway, Kaho has an interesting background and her backstory is given cinematic weight. Glad she's not just to induce jealousy but she's a real person. I chuckled when she said 'we are just humans' and imagine Frieren saying it.

The confession is awkward as both are awkward human beings. Their body language is on point. Some may dislike their initial no reaction, but it must be natural if either you're out of touch with your feelings or you just repress them.

I thought the title was just 'and' until the end but suddenly it became 'tomorrow and tomorrow'.

If season 2 becomes true, the diary epilogue of LN vol 4 can happen in S2 ep 1.

ETA:

So the ED came first to compensate for its lack in Episode 1. Instead, we are treated with the OST 'New Family.'

The director of this anime really needs some praise as the story telling is just a MASTERPIECE and the audio at the ending was just so good. I really thought that they will botch the anime adaptation and end with an open ending not covering the full volume because that is always what im expecting. But i guess my judgement is wrong as the director have other plans because they really executed this well as i can imagine, as the director even put the tiny details just to improve the presentation to the audience. The last time i have watched an anime like this is when i had watched oregairu (Which is my top 1 anime btw) as for me this anime is almost on par with it.

I Really hope this anime will get a second season as the next volume after the adaptation which is vol 5 is where things get really good.

If i have to rate this anime (Just for me though)

the soundtrack is a 9.6/10
the visuals is a 9.1/10
the storytelling is a 9.9/10
the characters is a 8.4/10
the ending is a 9.5/10

The overall score is a 9.3/10 which is unexpected for me. I WILL be waiting for a season 2 but for now we will need to wait for the anouncement.

ABSOLUTE FCKING CINEMA! what an amazing finale, this is the moment where the really really good part starts.

Saki began to realize that relying on someone is something that will help you think further, give and take, leaning is a skill. You have to tell them so they don't fall into the dark, it's not fair to leave them guessing.

Yuuta saw Saki walking around with another boy from their study group. Kaho knows that Yuuta is having love problems so Yuuta seeks release to other women to forget about the past. Kaho's backstory is quite sad, she lost her trust in people because that trust betrayed her, what Kaho explained to Yuuta had a big impact on Yuuta, "Feelings are selfish things".

Yuuta finally made an answer to himself to be more open so he wouldn't regret it at the end, Saki still really wanted to close her feelings of love from Yuuta's feelings she didn't expect to get confessed at this time, and ran away to the room because she didn't know what to do. Yuuta still dares not to back down from what has been said before is a very cool thing for a man to do, big massive W.

Saki was finally able to reopen what she felt before and after a long time I waited finally the two of them hugged, Saki hugging Yuuta was a very beautiful thing for the two of them to do. Saki is very grateful to Yuuta for opening up to her and she wants to help with the burden together so that no one is hurt. They both don't want to destroy their parents' happiness. They both agreed to be open with each other and told each other that they would both be jealous if they were seen spending more time with other people than their own siblings.

Yuuta will rely on his sister and Saki will rely on her brother to protect what they have and search for it together, "Thank you". Yesterday they were both strangers, and this is the story of how they became a real family. "...and..." the answer to the title is "tomorrow and tomorrow". I'm very happy that Studio Deen at least took this anime seriously and the dialog they bring is very impactful and deep to digest, the visuals and art have a soft tone and are suitable for this type of show, the MC and FMC are very interesting to follow especially we can see how they think about each other. I'm a little disappointed that there was no announcement of season 2 after the finale when this was just the beginning of a very interesting thing in the series (whereas roshidere got a sequel but this didn't which hurts me more). after all this yapping I just want to thank all the staff involved for this amazing series, Thank you Ueno Souta for your dedication to this amazing anime and I hope to see more anime directed by this brilliant man. I will look forward to other anime to also have serious themes like this in the future.

While I liked the finale overall I was surprised to see that Saki kept suppressing her feelings to the end as she kept saying that siblings could have feelings that couples would normally have even though she was clearly jealous whenever Yuta would talk to or hang out with other girls. IMO she's just in denial but regardless, props to Yuta's classmate for encouraging him to not keep his feelings bottled up and him soon after confessing.

One thing that bothered me a bit was when Saki had a sudden 180 degree turn a few episodes back after they witnessed a fireworks show as if she had a sudden epiphany about how their relationship could be taboo or something, and she probably did I suppose. I do understand that Saki wants to keep their appearance that they're just step-siblings but they should get a sense of how their parents feel and Saki's mom had already (jokingly?) asked Yuta if he was into her daughter so the mom might already be on board. Anyways, I hope a S2 is made as this feels like an introduction to their romance arc and I would like to see where their relationship goes.

This was one of the most realistic anime series I've ever watched. Sometimes it even felt like "based on a true story" material. I've enjoyed it all, and it made me feel good.

Personally, I though the ending was great. A full-blown romance would've ruined it.

P.S. If you like to explore similar complex situations, check out Koi Kaze. It's different, yet similar.

Great finale, there really was no way perfect way to go about that but I feel like coping is not the worst idea, xD. I'm definitely curious to know how they'll approach the situation together from here on though, I feel like they won't be able to put a lid this way. Maybe it would've been better to just bottle it to infinity but we could see how that was going... Koi Kaze-ish dilemma back again, yikes.

I loved the mature progression on the part of Ayase-san, in particular. Add to that, the symphony between the direction and the corresponding art, I was low-key expecting something spicy like DomeKano but was a complete and welcome different experience. One of the shows I looked forward to watching the most this season especially since the start of the second half.

Fujinami-san was a great addition but I was a little sad by the lack of appearance from Yomiuri-san this episode. I'm sure Ayase-san would beg to differ but jokes aside, the perspective she brought to the show with her unique life experiences was very intriguing. Asamura-san going right for the attack after that caught me a little off-guard though, she made the right points and probably dispelled his doubts for good there, eh?

Going to miss this quite a bit, 8/10 from here. I like my unconventional romance tales, not going to lie. Hoping for a second season of this and more!

@booyah10 Author's commentary week in and week out added a new layer to the show that I really enjoyed! Didn't expect him voice act a role albeit the one-liner store clerk, lol. Reminds me of Yukimura-sensei from Vinland Saga S2.

Edit: Upping this to a 9/10, was such a blast! Fact that I think back on it from time to time, watch some iconic scenes and even bought the novels speaks for itself.

“Tonight is the harvest moon”
Close, about 1.7 days before this episode released.

“Feeling are selfish things”
Yes they are, God bless them.

I like how both of them are opening up more to other persons.

I am still disappointed about not getting more back story details about why Saki is so withdrawn, and about the flashbacks where apparently Saki and Yuuta encountered each other as children, or maybe that is just Saki projecting Yuuta into her memories.

I could go on watching this slow burner for some time.

I was hoping Kaho will play that kind of role in Yuuta's journey, but it was just way too fast and direct; they barely know each other, and she's already psycho-analyzing him, sharing her most painful memories and giving him life advice? She's functionally the same as that weird college professor from last episode. I think she has an interesting and very heartfelt story, but it was just delivered in the span of a few minutes to forcibly move along Yuuta's story.

The final conversation was a level-headed and healthy outcome, where they just got straight to the point and laid out their feelings in the simplest terms. But it didn't really feel like they reached any sort of resolution with their feelings, other than understanding the other person likes them. Some lines like "I'll give you a hug" or "I'll carry that weight with you" really sounded like weak platitudes. The scene just left me cold, even if I understood in my head that this was a big moment.

Really mixed feelings towards the show as a whole. Season 2 could take the story in much more interesting directions, but I don't feel too confident.

I love this show so much. I loved these two so much. Feelings can indeed be very complex and they sure do need time to figure them out. It was a beautiful moment between them in the end. They're very young right now, so I can feel their hearts. It's hard but at least they're together in this now.

It was a beautiful adaptation by Deen and Souta Ueno. I loved every single episode in this show. Truly beautiful and magnificent. I'll wait for a Season 2 some day in the future.

its a bit lackluster tbh, i hope it would be more "emotional" but i guess this is good enough i guess... i like this but hoping for season 2 seems to be far fetched wishes

Thought-provoking anime, ended on a very sweet spot. No overextending, no cliffhanging, just, realism.

Well man am I glad I'm not in there situation. Overall this show was all over the place for me and I'm referring to my opinion on it not how the show flowed. Honestly wasn't big on it at first and I kinda hated the characters but I started to like it towards the halfway point.

Its a good show overall I really liked Saki by the end, Yuta was an okay male lead and the side characters weren't that interesting except the girl Yuta started talking with towards the end.

If I had to say compared to the other romance anime this season id say its one of the better ones. While I prefer Roshidere as a show this show so far has done romance better. But I think too many losing heroines is better than both of them (although that shows a little too heavy on fan service at times)

hopefully we get a season 2, especially since in recent times literally anything is getting a season 2

8/10

Good season, hope we get more I like how this was a more mature story, last episode felt really good way to end the season. I like both the characters and the way they developed. I think I'm going to go read the source material now.
