| Not going to lie, the combat and action in this episode was silly but more entertaining than I had expected. While Ichibanboshi still has a bit of immature personality for his character, he also respects people who he trusts. The episode gave me impression that Ichibanboshi has time to evolve his character but I'm starting to like to him more. For now though, the two characters that has my attention the most are Ichibanboshi and Akira. Also got to see a very short glimpse of Ichibanboshi's past. Oh and Sakuya is a badass. |

| Our Shinsengumi substitute gang set on their first official task this week, an escort mission, escorting some big head official ... who is a real piece of worki tell ya, lol. The japanese-foreign policy sentiment talk was nice too, was a bit expecting this topic sooner or later, considering the time period this takes place. The black ships were impressive. And the boobs are getting bigger ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), thats what i like to hear. |

| The substitute Shinsengumi group that's a band of criminals, and only Ichibanboshi is worth noting as Dumboshi. The first job: an escort mission of retainer Sakuma Shozan of the Matsuhiro Domain, and despite his strict demeanor, he is a "breaking the ice" fun man. And where there're supporters, there's detractors against his name, and the rag-tag criminal group did decent protecting Shozan. Witnessing the age of cannons being the next destructive thing after the sword/blade, it feels like they're out of touch, but it depends on the individual, as such with Dumboshi wanting to change the world that some shitty person has founded. Believe me, he may have the brain of a child, but at the very least he has an end goal. Sakuya as Toshizou, the once traitor whom his own group betrayed him plus his past, his life as a hired killer certainly has its notions. |

| Well, some decent world-building in this episode. Turns out America is draining Japan and this old guy wants to unite the country to fight back. Good set-up here. |

| Shozan is a fun old dude, hopefully we can see him again. He killed me when he remembered Sakuya as his assassin, especially when he wasn t petty about the whole thing. That Assassin has murdered more than 1700 people, how impressive. Oh man, since Ichiban has up joined the fray this should be good. |

| After episode one, I just couldn't be bothered to keep watching this anime because it didn't interest me, but I'm glad I went for it and watched episode 2. It was entertaining getting to know more about the characters and seeing their chemistry together. Also, the assassin who fought off against Sakuya was funny as hell looking and the way he talks is too good. |
| I love that battle, it was fast and intense. Can't wait to see more. |
