I just love the landscape and atmosphere feeling of this episode. Almost feels magical.

Gotta love how hard Yuzuki works to make things right. I also like the character chemisry between her and Tamako, even though the two characters are a bit different. Great episode again. Yuzuki truly stands out as her role in the show.

The first impression of the imouto was ehh .. but she ain't that bad, she even paid those workers pretty well. But she can't see past person's looks, Yuzu definitely is much older than her in many ways .. she's about to find that out.

A nice walk in the "park" can cure depression, or at least make it disappear for a while .. small step one after another, thats all it takes.

Yuzu does really bring the light to peoples lives. I wasn't sure what to think of Tamako when we first saw her at the end of last episode and even at the beginning of this one. She definitely is standoffish but as we saw more of Tamako past it made sense. We'd already seen how cold and cruel Tamahiko and Tamako father has been but now we see he's been like that a long time. Shunning his own children even when they were small and wanted help and support. Rather pay his staff to take care of them instead of doing so himself. Therefore it makes sense why Tamako would be the way she is. But upon getting Yuzu and seeing how genuine she is Tamako has opened up more and accepted the kindness Yuzu shows her. It was sweet seeing Tamako scared of the thunder and Yuzu doing everything to make Tamako feel better especially after her accident. Them two baking treats at the end of the episode together was very adorable with a shocked Tamahiko looking on. It started off rough but things seem good between the three of them now.

Pretty comfy episode. Yuzu managed to change Tamako but I still don't like her. Well, the walk was pretty cute. The ''drinking'' scene was something else. Yuzu's pretty good at curing depression.

Tamahiko's younger sister Tamako is here, and she's moving into his house, aware of Yuzuki, the 14-year old that's definitely the stature of a primary school kid who's older than the 12-year-old Black Lily. Truly a devilish girl whose 10 yen pay in the Taisho area is a fortune.

I like it that Yuzu is unfazed by Tamako's presence, and she does what the typical bride would do. But for Tamahiko, it's clear that Tamako's more straightforward than their parents, and the hate begets its continuation. Yuzu is quite the observant girl, and cares for loved ones. The milk caramel flirting scene was sublime.

Yuzu taking Tamahiko out for a date to the mountains to see a fox god, this reminds me of HenNeko with the whole god woorshipping angle. Erm...drinking spring water straight from Yuzu's hands, that was heartily embarrassing and cute at the same time. Together with the wind, Yuzu's a Spring storm to light up Tamahiko's life.

As for Tamako, she's dealt the same way as Tamahiko, maybe even worse that eludes loneliness all over her face. And the ngiht of rain and thunder tests her endurance with Yuzu so much so that she peed herself out of fright, and Yuzu tending a hot bath to keep her hot and accompany her in sleep. Tamako's a changed person overnight, and siblings continue their dispute.

Baby steps to curing depression.

A pretty 'by the books' episode, pretty much following the exact route you would imagine with a situation like this for the whole episode except the date part in the middle where Yuzuki took Tamahiko outside for some fresh air on a little date after he was feeling down with Tamako's arrival. The kind of character the sister was early, the things she experienced and how Yuzuki would with her overbearingly bright personality giving her some moral support and curing her depression/loneliness for once and she was bright and respectful towards Yuzuki at the end. Her relationship with Tamahiko's still not quite there yet but progress can be made now. Pretty much all of this you could have predicted so easily with this episode and the execution of it all was... okay? Didn't really feel that impactful or interesting to watch, but it wasn't awful or overbearing with melodrama either so it was kind of a middle-of-the-road for me of an episode this time around.

Ha, I didn't think Yuzu would be the Senpai. Tamako only being 12 really took me by surprise. Tamako had a bit of a rough start with her attitude, but thank the god of thunder to bring change to Tamako's personality and her getting along with Yuzu. Seems she had it rough with the family as well.

Great episode! Yuzuki is too precious. I really hated seeing Tamako act so rudely towards Yuzuki and Tamahiko even if it is because of her upbringing… guess I can’t blame her if she has a father like that though. Seems Tamako is scared of the thunder and even wet herself because of it. Yuzuki was very understanding and helpful in the situation though, being the kind person she is and slept together with her to put her at ease. Tamako seems to have realised how she’s been acting towards her though and also seems to have changed which I’m glad about.

I really love this series so far. Looking forward to the next episode!

Nice change of pace this episode. Tamako, in spite of her first impression, is one of the more likeable imouto characters as far as I'm concerned.

Taishou Era Diabetic Romance Saturdays (aka Taisho Saturdays) is back with the focus on Tamako. I guess like Tamahiko, she wasn't feel loved in home and in school, mainly due to her height which at the time is a pretty unusual height for a girl at the time. And Yuzu and Tamahiko are starting to adjust now that she's here.

Seeing her...pee as the thunder strikes near is a rare occurrence in (uncultured) anime, that made me woah. But aside from that, I think this was a nice episode. Yuzu's unconditional love to her sister-in law is really sweet, even if it's borderline weird at points. You can't blame the girl, she's just 12 years old and some will still be scared at lightning in their teens. And also uhmm...drinking water in the girl's palms, and Yuzu shoving the caramel candy into her hubby is the closest fanservice we've gotten yet (hope we get more real ones in next eps). I see the next episode being an interesting one, definitely checking out that.

Another great episode.

I think one of the biggest hurdle this show has is how to show the romantic relationship between Tamahiko and Yuzu without it being creepy/offensive. I think they did a fantastic job in this episode with scenes like Yuzu serving water out of her hands (this scene was also great because it highlights Tamahiko's injured arm) and the scene of Yuzu giving Tamahiko the caramel candy was very sweet too (no pun intended).

Tamako adds another dynamic to the group and makes the story more interesting. Really loving this show so far and I'm hoping it continues to be that way.

Well, is good that Tamako is just battle hardened, not a horrible person.

The "dead" brother card use was a wow factor.

With the talk about hair. Is sad that we rarely see Yuzu floofy hair

Tamako: *continuously disrespects and torments her already depressed older brother*
Also Tamako: "I know my older brother hates me. I wonder why tho..."

Overall, good episode but only because of Yuzuki and Tamahiko's sweet interactions.
As for Tamako, the least amount of time she appears on screen, the better. She's just the kind of brat who treats others poorly and later wonders why people don't like her. It was even implied she didn't make friends at her school because of her huge ego so honestly, I don't have any reason to feel bad for her.

Glad to see their relationship progressing with cute little actions between the main two

Tamako sure is an interesting young girl, no wonder she was shunned in her school, and alas her father wasn't great. Glad to see Yuzu reach out to her, she's surely a light to people in darkness in the story (reminds me of Tohru and the Soumas, let's hope she's as impactful on the Shima siblings)

That’s episode 3, so I’m out. This kind of show is really not for me. It’s almost all wish fulfillment and I find anime like that to be too pandering and almost insulting in how overt it is about it. Doesn’t help that the MC is so overly dramatic about his (obviously not good) situation. At least it’s better than Tonikawa though.

I cannot say I enjoyed this episode to the same extent as the first two, since I'm quite tired of these types of characters who are completely needlessly rude and cruel to people who have done nothing - zero - to them, entirely unprovoked, and then have a sob story where random other unrelated people were rude and cruel to them, and they wonder why that's not a reason to be a complete asshole to people in the present who have done nothing.

Or struggle with complex concepts like wondering how a world can exist where some people are mean to them and other, again, entirely unrelated people, are not and are nice to them, so they don't know how to react. It doesn't seem like an extraordinarily difficult and complex concept to grasp that different people and different situations are different people and different situations. And they always treat it like a dramatic and grand revelation.

And then said character ponders why some random school bullies or family members being dicks to them in the past isn't a good reason for them to be a dick now to people have absolutely zilch to do with it.

Yuzu is so precious hngh. Pretty good episode! I like Tamako, she has a sharp tongue, but she's not a bad person. Plus her family and situation at school does not help her at all. Luckily the angelic Yuzu is here to show her what kindness feels like. The only downside is, Tamako's probably gonna steal Yuzu's precious time away from Tamahiko lmao. Really looking forward to the next episode.

I thought Tamako was gonna be the type who turns "good" from "evil" and still retain some of her annoying traits from the past but glad I was wrong. At first I thought she was just like her father. She isn't that but her dad was definitely responsible for how she turned out: thinking everyone hates you, so you just paradoxically start doing things that'd make people really hate you.

Speaking of the father, he and his eldest children are absolutely deplorable. Maybe we might be proven wrong about the older siblings again but I think the dad is an irredeemable scumbag.

I'm glad Yuzu has a friend now. Even if she was living with her husband she could get lonely fast without a girl around her age.

I'm afraid I can't handle the amount of sugar content in this anime, especially this episode.. it's very, very sweet :') I can't stop smiling from the beginning until before Tamako's childhood flashback.

Yuzu brings light to everyone with her kindness, she really is a magical girl.

Looking at the preview of the next episode it looks like Yuzu will get sick :(

Tamako's trauma...I didn't realize Taisho Otome was adapting Netflix's Tall Girl 2019.

A cute episode as always, I welcome the tall imoto and loli onee-chan dynamic. But what is it about this family and their body fluids?

This anime has been pretty good thus far.

At first I was concerned that the sister was going to be a one sided plot antagonist but I was very happy with how her character turned out by the end of the episode.

The song that they feature in each show so far: I presume the lyrics they use are from a Japanese version of the song, as they certainly are different from the lyrics that i know. Its not the first western song which has been adopted by Japan and had its lyrics changed. The song "Marching Through Georgia" was taken by the Japanese and turned into "Tokyo Bushi" which was featured in the anime Taisho Baseball Girls.

something that goes a long way to making the situation less uncomfortable is that Yuzuki is incredibly mature for her age. She looks, and is adorable, but she has a patient, empathetic mindset that allows her to see the good in people easily.

you look at Tamahiko, Tamako, and Yuzuki and you aren't going to guess that Yuzuki is the most mature and level-headed out of them, but she is.

gosh, this show is cute, but it also has stellar character writing. This is what I love to see, a slice of life in an interesting setting with that Fruits Basket style drama from a shitty family and an outsider brightening up people's lives with love. inject this directly into my veins.
