| I haven't watched the original too so I don't really know what to think about it... it's pretty fun I guess it's like a mix between Idols, Mahou Shoujo and Card Game hmm, and it has a lot of flashy colors which is pretty nice |

| I hope things would get dark soon and also I hope this is a sequel rather than a reboot, I really want to see adult Ruuko and Tama. This is the fifth season and they are still horrible at writing duels, It wasn't an issue in previous seasons because the plot was actually pretty good but this one... I didn't have much expectation but now, its below zero. I hope it won't tarnish the reputation of Selector and already lackluster Lostorage... |
| Hmm I saw the originals which I liked but I have no idea if this is even connected to those. If it's connected and takes place in the same universe then it must be pretty far into the future. With WIXOSS being a VR game kind of thing now. Or it could be completely not connected at all but I wouldn't be surprised at that seeing how cheerful it has been so far. Unless it's a big troll and will turn dark at some point and they will link it to the originals somehow. All things considered it's a rather wild change of direction. I am not familiar with the irl card game itself so the fights never make sense to me. lmao |
| I've seen the main series, and I hope this isnt related to it. Seeing light-cheerful version of WIXOS might be something we never ask but never realized we need XD. Having a spinoff like this on heavy series sometimes really is enjoyable, I still hope for an actual next season of the main series tho. But will still enjoying this one even if it turns dark too in the end. |

| If people get worried if this isn't dark like old, don't forget the first ep of the original WIXOSS wasn't dark at all. They could go dark with this at any point. It's really possible to just switch this on a dime, make it look like all happy go lucky, and then WHAM. Keeps interest factor honestly, of when it's just gonna turn, if it doesn't, that'll be the surprising part. |

| I have no idea about the original as well but I really like the concept...that games seems much more complicated than Magic even... i don't know what exactly I expected..probably more idol-like but acutally this is quite interesting...the chemistry between the characters can be felt and like expected they are even in the RL together. The idea with the SP is something new...so not only winning counts like almost everywhere else but your fansbase is also important...imagine that in football hmm...anyway I hope they will do more performance after the battle like they did because I have the feeling their songs are great. |

| I was a big fan of the previous WIXOSS series. Seeing it very light-hearted here is... odd, to say the least. I'm gonna stick around to see how this goes. The girls seem to be wearing Suzuko's uniform though. Shoutout or same universe? |

| Well, I've seen all the WIXOSS anime but compared to everyone above, I quite liked this. It's different, sure it doesn't have the same dark atmosphere that WIXOSS like all the previous entires but the change of pace and style isn't really all that bad. Who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us down the line. Perhaps it'll help if you guys think of it as more of an idol anime than WIXOSS. It was pretty fun. Question to those who are familiar to the franchise outside of the anime, how popular is WIXOSS in Japan that they keep making new anime for it? I've never seen any international localization or material for it apart from the anime. |

| Well it seems this is like a new and pure version of what WIXOSS actually is, so I'll check them later, that dark themed sounds interesting. But talking about this, seems ok I would say, in the beginning I thought this was an idol show so if you watch it with that in mind could be good. |

| I don't see any hint of the darker themes of the previous series. The animation is good, I like virtual world. The main girls' look super generic. I like the bully bat girl's final form, but her weapon is a triangle ruler and it bothers me. What's the pun? What's the point? Also, does anyone know how this game works? I will give it 3 episodes |

| It just the first episode, the introduction, so maybe the story will go darker and darker in the later episode like previous WIXOSS anime anyway. Who knows. At least, it is idol-esque anime, I still watching this new style of WIXOSS anime. |

| This was indeed very different from previous seasons. Being JC staff who animates here I get alot of Toaru vibes here. Being a VR game this time around they still buys the cards and builds the decks. Imagine if it is the same universe and the card games are still cursed, then this is a perfect setting for something dark to come. But the 1st episode introduced us to the VR game and the new ruleset they uses this season. Liked it. (and my tolerance is very high so I might end ut watching the whole show) |

| I've watched all of them up to now, I'm a pretty big WIXOSS nut. This first episode was okay. I knew about the idol thing way ahead of time, so I wasn't expecting something particularly dark this time around. I actually think the setting is pretty cool, with the whole VR battling where the girls are their own LRIG. Having to impress an audience on top of playing well is compelling enough, I feel. My own personal problems are that I don't think the voice acting is a bit lacking (Akino in particular) and also that the characters just aren't very compelling. The motivations across the board seem generic, overplayed or otherwise like they come straight out of Shadowverse(TV) (WIXOSS ISN'T JUST A GAME) I'll watch all of it, and I sure hope it ends up being better than Conflated, but I'm not entirely sold yet. |

| This new season is supposed to be a kind of reboot for the franchise. Considering that the last season didn't seem so good to me because it had a terrible script, seems like a good idea to go a different way and try new things. Even if the psychologic and dark are sacrificed, it can end up being something entertaining to watch at least. |

| idols and wixoss. I'm so excited starting this, and it did not disappoint. liking everyone in the main cast. Hirana is the fiery leader, Rei the serious and talented one, and Akino the weakest member but still love the game. I hope they give the dog something to eat.. looking forward to more of their adventures! :) |
| I really appreciated the original series and subsequently seasons, but this new show it's nothing like the previous ones. If through the season this show gets better I watch, but for now it's a drop for me. |

There is no way to know. |

Did everyone who says it won't have a "dark plot" skip the part where they did hint at it? When the Hirana unit dissolves at the beginning they materialize his thoughts and wishes in a preeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty darn dark way. In addition there are many small details that open questions, same Lostorage uniforms? How is it that wixoss is so popular now and has won an award? Who or what are the eternal divas? How they can become an eternal diva? Tama is alive and is part of Wixoss Land? Just chill and wait for the plot twist. |

All of those can just as well be explained away as being plain callbacks, though. There's no guarantee it will get dark. I want it to, don't get me wrong, but I'm not expecting it to at a baseline. "Just chill and wait for the plottwist" is instilling possible false hope and I'd like to shoot down that kind of thinking. Previous Wixoss series played their hand straight away, even Selector Infected, as it carried a moody tone through its first episode along with that opening narration. This one just straight-up doesn't, it sets the tone as something low-stakes and happy-go-lucky. Don't wait for a plottwist that might not even come. Judge it for its own merits. |
| I will still hope for the series to turn darker, after all in genres we can see it's 'psychological'. If not then well... I will watch for nice designs of the character. I'm sure there are better 'idol-like' anime out there but I won't judge this extremely as it's still somehow connected to WIXOSS. |
