| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I didn't have much expectations for this but it had similar comedy compared to To Love Ru with less fan service. The character designs looks kinda appealing I guess especially that blonde woman in the beginning. The MC really needs to have a better personality though as I find him to be really dull. At least Kana is cute with her character introduction. The OP theme song is also kinda stylish. I'll be watching more of this show to see where it goes. |

| It looks like cliches piling on cliches: kids trying to act mature by drinking coffee without milk, helping a lost child, fujo as a joke character, boy and girl live together, becoming a butler, etc... *sigh* |

| The way Hatena completely flips her character when she finds out Makoto is a boy. I think makotos personality is a bit better than most light novel protagonist since I could see how Hatena could have originally thought he was a girl by how he acts, still a bland character though. |

| once again we have yet another anime that confuses sorcery with magic tricks so many cliches... ughh characters are boring the immature girl is annoying way too generic also, they live in a freaking mansion and you're telling me that they don't even have a guest room and only the attic is available for Makoto to live in?? and how come the girl's able to smell her mom's smell when she fixed that like years ago??? and and...and she's gonna go steal stuff with THAT appearance??? at least put on a fucking mask or something. even kaitou kid has the monocle and hat to obscure his face. and sometimes he wears silicon masks. and here we have this young immature unskilled girl about to commit crime without even bothering a simple disguise. | Not a bad start, it was quite fun actually. Hatena is a funny character and she has cute moments though the only problem I have with her is her hating Makoto for being a boy. I like the end card. |

Well the girl's hate is unreasonable just because she found out he is a boy which not really his mistake since beginning, typical tsundere character who always being hostile to mc which actually she is just denying the fact she always likes him in the end.. |

| Never heard of this title but was surprised to see the original art/character designs by Yabuki Kentarou (To Love Ru). Couldn't really tell at first since the designs look a bit simplified but some angled eye shots of the girls and it really pops out it is his. Shame the story was pretty boring. Hoping the entire show isn't just this. Also weak lewds. Saw ecchi tag and expected more. |

| What I like most at first are the designs made by Yabuki Sensei (praise that son of God) and Hatena, I really liked her presentation, I think she is very pretty and I love her voice. |

| New shows from fledgling new studios (in the hope to cure the haphazard schedules and overwork of the anime industry) always worry me, and this show undoubtedly is one trying to break the mold outta something. The only familiarity in the know is Yabuta Kentarou's (of To-Love Ru fame) character designs, but even that has been sometime...so another bit of worry too. Hatena is Darkness while Makoto is Rito, carbon copy cut-outs if you will. The character cast of magic...just isn't as appealing as much as the typical clichés of relationship "jealousies" of feelings and emotions. The story itself is boring though, really never heard of this series before. Just giving it a shot to see how this goes. |

| Been excited for this the most this season cause of the magic theme goin on and yet this bored and disgusted the shit out of me. Female MC is the old bitchy tsun type character, the outdated types and she's not even the least adorable throughout her bitchy run. May drop this depending on the next ep but damn this was a huge disappointment. |

| A Magical Girl/Boy anime where they turn into Magicians...genius dude. Why hasnt anyone thought of this? I love it. The openign and ending were catchy AF and Ema was freaking hilarious. Enjoyed this anime a lot. Looking forward to the rest. |

The Younger sister is much more level headed and unlike her sister has observational skill. When he protected her from the dog - he acted like a boy - spoke like one - and looked like one *shrug* |

| Really fun show. I like the art style and it shows flashes of really nice animation. The usual complaints from the stuck-up types which was expected but criticizing the art and animation is just... whatever the opposite of rose-tinted glasses is. This looks great. Hopefully we can all enjoy these discussion threads more in an episode or two when those people drop it. Though it's good to see there are acutally quite a few who had positive things to say. |

| Characters are designed by YABUKI Kentarou who is the author of "To Love-Ru" and the comic version of "Darling in the Franxx". Not bad. The setting seems a typical phantom thief story for little girls. |

| This season, there is a show where a girl mistaken as a boy. And now, a show where a boy mistaken as a girl. Is this thing an old way to tell a relationship or a new one ? This is will be RomCom with magician theme, I guess. Although the MC is kinda annoying, this show have a good start. |

| If Marchen Madchen was an charming project that was unfortunately doomed to hell by the studio this looks like a certified dud from the outset. Thing is I was looking for that cheap 10-year-old light novel vibe that's often hard to find in anime these few years and am still interested enough. Ainya's a bit shit here IMO |
| I can deal with Hatena's sudden flip because I know she'll come around eventually (that's half the fun of a series like this), but I lost the will to keep watching when I saw them give their guest the dirty attic to sleep in. Well, I guess I understand. It's not like that live in a giant mansion... wait. But it's not like they have a maid or a butler or anything... oh, yeah. BUT it's not like they knew in advance he was coming to stay with them........... Even THAT I might have been able to get over, but then when he broke something (which, again, if they hadn't put him in the dirty attic and told him to clean it himself, would never have happened), and was made to become "work off the debt", I lost the will to keep going. I'll revisit this series later if I hear that the loli ecchi scenes get much better. |
