| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That one William Shankle guy kinda creeps me out. Anyways, we got that blue haired girl (Rhino) making her appearance this episode. How interesting. As far as I'm concerned, I think this episode brings to light a more complex plot compared to some of the previous ones. I have a feeling she will play a more important role throughout the rest of the series. She has a more playful personality than I had expected lol |

| Gripen eating pizza is cute! Seems like it's a recurring joke where Kei get's taken away from Ming Hua. Rhino looks like she has a good personality. Looking forward to the action next week! :) |

| Well looks like F18's turn didn't last long, seeing it's performance in real life it's unsurprising. Anyway it seems there are some huge disagreements in the approach of dealing with anima. |
| So uh, even more airplane waifu's to choose from? I'm not complaining. Rhino might be also a cute airplane waifu. Anyway, did anyone else got reminded about the game Plague Inc. with that simulation Kei (and later Gripen) was playing? :-P |

| Lol Kei just can't catch a break huh. Being the only partner of the anima sure is tough. Hmm Darpa huh. Still its impressive in that they managed to create anima of their own. An invasion of the continent sure is a bold move though. Unmanned fighters that can also act as hunter killers eh interesting idea. Gripen sure made quick work of that pizza lol. I guess even in this age America still thinks it should be the top dog. Rhino though sure is an interesting girl as are her views. The game that Kei and Gripen played was interesting though with Gripen's turn being especially so. Rather than focusing on defence its interesting in how she advocated evac and survival in remote areas though. This doctor though looks like he will be a problem as he see's anima as nothing but tools. |

| So it looks like Haruka & this new guy, William Shankle have very different vision of Animas : I quite understand why Eagle considers him as her Father. Also the new girl, Rhino seemed pretty interesting, she could be more important later on ! But I doubt she will have such a large screen time Ah and I appreciated watching an hunGripen, especially when she ate pizzas haha. Rhino appeared to me as a good living person, looking for friends (I mean, when she seemed so surprised and excited to notice Kei was a regular human able to pilot a Daughter). It would not be surprised that she feels lonely if her creator sees her as a simple machine. Meh, I don't really appreciate him for now. |

| I thought that this show is a variation of "Strike Witches" things. But the show shows more serious aspect sometimes. The anime staffs may be badly redering the original plot. |
| Rhino finally makes her appearance. The two scientist doesn't seem to always agree but they need to work together nonetheless. Got a laugh when Phantom and Eagle sneezed when Kei is talking about them. I'm curious how animas are made? Are they modified humans? Hoping to see the Russian anima/daughters soon. |
| Xi is...hope? Is Gripen going to convert to the Xi? "I have a feeling that if I don't hurry, you're going to run off again." Poor Minghua... "I have plans!" "So do we, now get your ass in the car." Poor Poor Minghua... Well Rhino is a lively one. I'd like to see her interact with Eagle... They're going to try to use Brawlers to combat the Xi...question is can it distinct friend from foe? 5 whole Pizzas? Damn! Don't you only need one? Rhino asking some rather scary questions... Oh? This is new...We see a whole bunch of MMORPGs in anime, but this is the first time I've seen a Turn-Based Strategy game in one... Oh, Gripen made the civilians run. Kei tried to fight against the Xi but always failed. A pretty interesting episode concerning what defines an Anima. Haruka is a good man to treat them as rational beings rather than machines. |

| I think this might be the first time Ming Hua saw Gripen? Might be a problem when Kei returns home. Ming get jealous seeing Kei go into a car with a girl. xD Also I'm wondering if Kei get's paid for this part time pilot job? |

| This episode was quite nice in terms of development with regards with information. I think that the Anima and the Humans have different approach with regards to human survival. |

| Did anyone notice the terrible English in the description of the simulation? I wonder if it was done with Google translate. I also find it very hard to believe that Kei would be allowed to pilot jets and work with the military without at least basic training, unless he has and the anime skipped that part. |
| Meh, only fictions would let a teenager piloting a fighter jet without even having the minimum requirements. |

Well, he was mainly asked to help due to his unique positive influence on Gripen's performance. I could swear we were shown him flying a small airplane as well, though, so he has at least some skill, even if it's an entirely different kind of flying altogether. edit: Found it, he mentions his flight experience in episode 2 after Gripen found the photo of him with his mother. |

Well, his piloting skill here is less of a factor than simply the fact that Gripen is only able to function properly in his proximity. Not much they can do in this case other than simply ground Gripen as they initially planned, which would leave them with one less Anima/Daughter. |

| Damn, another complex story surrounding how this Xi can exist in this world. Ofc, its happen with the existence of Anima too, because their appearance are against Xi will. The simulation that crazy american scientist feel to weak with the rule of 10 years civilization saved. Ofc, Gripen will do a preventive way to save as many human as possible, in the time being, rather attacking Xi's base. Because of what? Her feelings, her reason to live was to save humanity. The simulation failed to recognize that thing, and prolly that crazy scientist too. Such a serious tone, with only 3 lefts episode next. Even that unphysical layer in the beginning dont release much explanations on this episode. Ofc, with the meaning of Rhino smile in the end also mysterious. The storyline takes its peak soon. Thats good referring how bland the 8 episodes before. Such a shame. This episode bring me another curiosity after previous failure. So lets see how its end. |
