| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lol Mashiro has a toy shark. I liked the episode, a bit of naval warfare at night. I like how the girls are taking risks while operating with their best efforts. Really interesting to also see torpedoes being used. Pretty intense episode with the battleship attacks, naval strategies from both sides, and even submarine being used. Dark horse of the season, calling it now.  |

| Hmmmm...well the principal seemed to genuinely not know what was going on in the beginning so maybe this invitation isn't a trap, but I've got a bad feeling. It can't be that easy right? The night submarine fight was fun, but I really wanted to see them go after Moka instead. What if her crew mutinied on her like the German girl's captain? My guess is they either get attacked again on the way back, or they make it back but Moka doesn't and they try to save her. Guess we'll see... |
| SCHEISSE! The animation in this series is gorgeous, look at that water, jeez! Night sky battles are sick. The only thing that's bothering me is the lightheartedness that is still very apparent. Go full serious already D: |
| Emergency call and everyone got summoned with their own pajamas, even a pillow how cute. Right after they think the submarine's submerged, the "battle" started. And that advice from the German girl or "Mi" sure is useful. Is that message really true? They become fugitive for two episodes, and now it's over? |

| The ending gave off kind of an anti-cliffhanger feel compared to the tension in the previous episodes, but based on how this show went so far there's a good chance it won't be that easy to return. Also what about the musashi? Can't wait for next week |

| The German girl is awake. I was bursting of laughter how Mike pronounce her name and just simple call her Mi-chan. Our laidback captain now has two uptight deputies now. It was a nice night battle against the submarine and their all boys. Based from Michan, it seems its some strange mind control that's happening. And Moeka's distress could be genuine. |
| I hope they start giving us an idea of what's going on soon because right now all they're doing is adding more questions on top of questions. Watch this end up like Lost and nothing gets explained in the end lol. If nothing else this anime at least makes me want to watch it each week to see if anything's going to be explained. |

If you mean RIP means dead or sunk, I would say that I believe those ships are not sunk. They just got lost. I'm not sure what "lost" means. It could mean that the school got lost connection on those ships. But we know Harekaze (Y467 晴風) is still floating around, yet they are marked as lost, so we cannot say that those "lost" ships are sunk. Given the assumptions, I believe is safe to say that having many ships lost means that Harekaze is not the only ship that is attacked. On the side note, I don't care on the man lurking, or rather I don't want to care, but I did care. Why did he went outside? It's cold there. Did he want to get screen time so badly that he battled the low air temperature just to go out and get captured on camera? |

| Well it seems the girls have a chance to prove their innocence the question is will other believe them. It seems to me that the girls are some kind of scapegoat for something bigger just look at the number of ships lost in the radar image at the start of the episode. That wasn't due to the girls and the story from Wi-chan about what happened on her ship also suggests it's something bigger. My guess is that the Harekaze was used as a distraction so that the others the real perpetrators would not get noticed with whatever they are planning. Munetani's room looked awesome all those teddybears look really cute and it seemed Wi-chan was impressed. There is always a hatch around that position to overlook the sea when the submarine surfaces. It's also common for the captain to open that hatch right after the ship surfaces the check if anything happened so my guess is that the one you are seeing is the captain. Speaking of submarines and WW2 ones in particular as the girls mentioned the where crammed and it often smelled in them. They where often away for weeks and they where not known for there sanitary facilities crewman often went without washing themselves for their entire sorties. To make matters worse it was often pretty warm in them and the engine bay was very dirty. So the smell was terrible in them. It takes a special kind of people to man a submarine especially a WW2 one so i am not surprised that they are only manned by boys. Another thing that might be worth mentioning is that the average of US submarine crew during WW2 was between 18 and 21 years old the oldest person on board was usually the captain and they where not much older. So for a submarine to be manned by highschool boys isn't that far from the WW2 reality. |

I think the attacker calls them as fugitive because the attackers failed their mission whatever it may be and Harekaze escaped. Back in WW2 the batteries weren't that good yet so a submarine could only stay submerged for 7 hours after that they needed 21 hours to recharge their batteries. If a submarine stayed submerged longer then 7 hours their batteries would not be able to produce enough air to surface again. A submarine is most vulnerable on the surface so having a hatch in a high spot with a large view was very importuned. |

| Looks like the mutiny isn't just happening in the Harekaze. Oh my goodness, the plot has thickened. And Mi-chan is a nice addition to the crew, the resident foreigner. Lol at Mashiro's room full of stuffed toys. |

| Best fight so far. Paravanes were used. Something I never thought anime would do. With the German testimony, it's definitely a mutiny, and not just onboard Graf Spee, but on Musashi and all the other ship listed as lost. Also, I laugh at those that said an anime only with girls! The submarines have been confirmed as males. The unpredictability of this show actually makes this probably the better one of this season. Kind of surprising to be honest. |

| Sweet. I like it that, unlike GuP, males are not an endangered species or something. But it's getting very confusing. Is it mass-mind control? some sort of decease? Some intricate conspiracy? Just what's going on. Anyway. I go my weekly dose of cute girls and badass naval engagement combo. Counting the days already till next episode! :D |

| First off, this series has a very nice mix of comedy action and drama and I really am loving how the plot is developing :) |
| This is definitely a low key hit of the Spring anime season. I'm loving the ship battles and tactics, the girls are cute, and the driving mystery has me super invested into what exactly the hell is going on. It's weird the principle recalled all the ships and apparently they're going to be allowed to return...I don't think it will be that easy... |
