THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- And I thought that there was no way that episode 20 (well I guess it's really 7) could have been surpassed. -First off, how could I forget. Despite the technobabble and world travelling, this show is a mecha anime. And you know what that means....MID-SEASON UPGRADES! Yes, Kurogane and Shirogane thanks to Nia did the Fusion Dance to become an even stronger Kurogane. With that and Tomo's colossus we had some very well-done action scenes. So the first world was saved. -Sadly, a lot of shit went down. The first world's Misao died to make it happen (though hopefully she's wherever the first Tomoharu is). Also, Takatsuki used up all of her power and seems to also about to vanish (though she's in the preview?). -Poor, poor An (First world An anyway). Every anime needs someone like you. The side character who never has a shot with the protagonist. I think you're cute though! -We finally meet the real Naotaka (First world) and he's pretty interesting. Though the fact that he has a freaking battleship shooting lasers like something I'd see in Gundam kinda threw me for a loop. -Sorry Misao lovers. Looks like Tomo picked Takatsuki unless something changes in the next three episodes. |

Narration, one of the scientists, talks about the accident. People near the experiment all became demons. Tomo asked if there's any way to stop it? She said that's his decision to make between going back or save the world. Whatever he decides, she wants him to meet Naotaka, who is the center of the experiment and her boyfriend. Wait, no OP? Naotaka is currently in a place that warped world is in. Only devil (Ania), contractor (Tomo), and beliaru doll (Misao) can get in there, so Takatsuki stayed behind. All of the Asura Machina is in where Naotaka is, so they need to meet Naotaka anyway. They finally met Naotaka from 1st world. Those statues they saw first were people who lost the soul, which means the bodies of beliaru doll. Naotaka knows about his brother's death and that they saw older Takatsuki's death from Ania. Takatsuki became beliaru doll because she wanted to save Misao (they are all from first world). Naotaka offered to help them get back to their world. Tomo asked if he can be any help, Naotaka said it's too late to save now. First world is to be destroyed. Tomo insisted. Naotaka showed a screen about the world has been created has merged with first world. If there's a way to close the door, then the process of destroying would stop. Only Hagane could stop it, now is in the enemy's hand that it's too impossible. Misao thought about mixing Shirogane and Kurogane (why didn't Ania thought of that? It was explained when Tomo from first world battle against the enemy!). Naotaka agrees. Ania said it's too risky because there might be a chance that both Misao and Tomo might die! Tomo insisted to do it anyway, Misao, too. Naotaka and Ania finally supported Tomo's decision. Suddenly, dautars from the door came and Naotaka, being near the door, is trying to stop them. Some already went into the ship. Tomo's demon, too, is battling, while Ania uses her power to merge Kurogane and Shirogane. Takatsuki wanted to go but the scientist stopped her. Takatsuki's dissolving! (She lied about losing her demonic power) First world Misao in the tube moved her hand a bit. Tomo went outside and continue battling. Tomo and Misao even have time to fool around! But Tomo said an important thing, even if the memory is forgetting, it can be made again. Merging completed, so Tomo sommons for the new Kurogane (with OP airing!) Misao is doing the job of closing the door! There's a dautar who guards the door and he needs to fight against it! Closing the door was almost complete, but the dautar is too strong and is attacking Tomo. Takatsuki used up her demonic power to save him. She fell and Tomo summons his devil again to fight against it. Takatsuki said she was happy to hear Tomo say he likes her (she did hear him say!), and Misao is supporting them (kind of) by saying she can be more happy! Tomo finally made contract with Takatsuki, then she died. He summoned Kurogane for closing, but the power is not enough. Misao from first world woke up! She's lending her power to close it! They finally did and she became a part of the statues while the world is not destroying anymore. Naotaka gave Tomo igniter. Igniter is something to suppress level of "Inga"? (cause and effect) He entrusted Tomo igniter for him to save the world. His short hair female friend came to say good bye. She understood that he chose Takatsuki. Naotaka lend him the ship and his Asura Machina's power to send them back to second world. What? The ship = Naotaka's Asura Machina, to move through spaces and time. Mahoujin!! |

This episode was probably my favorite for this show...(or at least second favorite). Looks like everyone is ok with Tomo and Takatsuki being together. I wonder what's going to be in the next three episodes....maybe they are just going to start to unwind and end the series with a sweet (or maybe bittersweet?) tone. |

The Uzushio is totally a lie; anyone can tell that it's actually the Avalon. I was disappointed how the new Kurogane turned out... lame color scheme. Now I'm left wondering if Tomo will have any use for his demon power thing... I'm glad Takatsuki was the one he chose, now it just better stay that way; Tomo I'm counting on you not to be a lame main character. |

wow.. another amazing ep.. i was wondering at first why there is no OP but Alternative turned out to be the insert song in this episode's amazing moments.. upgraded Kurogane's color scheme is kinda weird.. but i'll get used to it.. but hey.. tomo has become more powerful, eh? an Asura Cryin' who is also a demon and whose Asura Machina is almost as powerful as Hagane.. |

Real nice episode. I guess we should have already gotten used to characters dying on this show, but losing Misao1 (first world) was still tough. Liked the interaction between Tomo and Naotaka1. Even if it was a minor scene, I really liked Tomo's decision to meet with An1. That showed real class and thoughtfulness. |

Incredible and amazing times 100 times. I found myself so excited I had to tone it down and make a excuse there was some sport event that was going on. The concept of the demon bridge inside the super string reactor was great, I liked the idea of it but was more shocked at all these statues here garfield15 said: And I thought that there was no way that episode 20 (well I guess it's really 7) could have been surpassed. Well this one did it! I swear I won't forget this and I think this is even better than some sci fi movies I saw garfield15 said: -First off, how could I forget. I still wonder about how the powers of Ania worked on the fusion since she is luck eater but I was astonished at how she repaired Asura Machinas. garfield15 said: -Sadly, a lot of shit went down. Probably Natsume will do that contract to save her...he will have no choice at this point at all. First Misao dying was sad but even more confusing at that pic I have taken of her statue having a reaction...what does the reaction mean? garfield15 said: -Poor, poor An (First world An anyway). Yes argilium! That music insert was so well done and made things more exciting! Kurogane's color was a little strange but I got used to it too. Actually it's more powerful than Hagane, Ritsu said that the output surpasses Haganes. HawthorneKitty said: Why not take a pic of the Avalon to compare....would be curious to see that. I thought Misao would really die...but she didnt , me happy i believe... So kanade and Tomo made a contract but i thought the only way of binding a contract is by doing it...(?)---didnt they make a huge fuss about this in the 1st season... SO basically everyones alive it seems like in the 2nd world because as the 1st world is mended it doenst have an effect in the 2nd world ~ for sure this series doesnt lose its nature of its audience 'trying to figure out things on their own' ;) So which Tomo did people like better ~ me liked the 1st Tomo who died in the 2nd world...his hair was fascinating..and for sure all the Tomos bro seem more mature than the main Tomo.. |

Cool, so the.. first Natsume Naotaka lives in a weird dimension : D Also, lol, Misao coming in with a jolly suggestion, Tomo shakes it off... "It might actually work!" : O zomg surprise Tomo.. is waaay too naïve. But he's cool when using his Colossus of Darkness : D It's pretty lol that Tomo and Misao were talking like that in the middle of a fight : p Also, we need more of those TomoXMisao scenes : D Atarashii Kurogane, Kurogane-kai, ike! OH SHI- that's quite some power he's got there?O.o (Awesome having the OP in the background too btw : D) Aww.. Takatsuki comes and intervenes in all the fun D: Tch why'd she have to interrupt? Oh well, Kurogane-kai = awesomeness incarnate, but I find it pretty strange . Unfortunately though... Facepalm.. why'd Tomo have to go around and say that Takatsuki's his girlfriend? Why? =.=' She's.. pretty annoying actually : / (No francis, not even close to Yuka) And hurrrr.. Is Nia back to her old (or actually young) loli-self in the second world now? : / I hope not anyway. |

I, a Misao lover, got the ED but not Tomo. *sigh* I loved this episode though. - I got to see two Misao's. - I loved the action. Absolutely. - We have a very strong Kurogane (with a lame color scheme.) - and a powerful Tomoharu. Yes, Takatsuki was chosen. But, she's not vanishing in the preview?? Hmm.. Can't wait for the next episode. Well, this episode was the best. Killing Fest episode comes second. |

I did the worst thing possible and following the shows logic tried to put the story together with everything we saw in S1 and S2 so far. Kids, don't try this at home.. there are more plotholes than plot.. btw, the ending scene with whateverherface getting rejected and tomo waving around the halfdead takatsuki saying she's his gf was the most ridiculous shit i've ever seen. she was in a freakin coffin stasis-pod in the middle of the front yard and tomo had a giant dildo igniter in his hand.. |

I try not to remember season 1 lol. It truly was a cluster fuck. Not just because they tried to toss everything at us but also because they did it in a way that made absolutely no sense at all while still tossing in filler. Season two feels completely different, as if they got a new director or something. If the manga is anything like season 1 then I'd probably rip my eyes out trying to read it. As for this episode, it was very enjoyable. We learned a lot of stuff about things we've wanted to know about since the beginning. Like who made the mecha and what happens when a doll "dies". This show really is one huge circle like I had previously hypothesized apparently. As expected they merged the two mecha to form a new one for Naotaka although it was different from how I envisioned it not to mention the colors on it look HORRIBLE. They should have stuck with black and then just added some silver in there. I'm not gonna bother hypothesizing what will happen next. There's too much lack of information that it would be a huge shot in the dark. Almost everything in the OP was covered so from here on we just have to guess. @francismeunier - I'm sure they're leaving that plugin's use for later. Too many people have died so it would make sense that at the end Tomo some how manages to bring everyone back using it. Not sure if that will actually happen but they've left the possibility open by not mentioning any limits to how he can use the new plugin (ie. "he's like a god" is all we know). |

Misao from the first world joined Misao from the 2nd world (ie. two dolls in one mecha). She basically sacrificed herself so the 2nd world Misao would live and not use up the rest of her soul. As for this being one big circle: Ironically Tomo's brother mentions that the 1st world tomo had fought that same monster in the past. He then makes a breif comment when 2nd world Misao was running on low power. He says "It's just like before". We can assume that the same thing happened to 1st world Tomo which then caused 1st world Misao to stay in an incubator so the rest of her soul would not run out. If you watch one of the past episodes with the flashback of 1st world Tomo and Takatsuki looking at the mini black holes destruction and then looking at the incubator with Misao in it, it's insinuated that since Misao could not be used without her dieing, 1st world Tomo did the only thing he could and that was to make Takatsuki a Doll. So basically it was one huge circle. The difference now being that the 1st world Misao saved the 2nd world which has ultimately given Tomo the chance to change his future. It's actually pretty interesting how it all pieces together nicely. Another small pieces in the series further show this. Like how the mecha where created. |

Thanks but I still what are those statues other than proving that the burial dolls still have a body they had before they became sacrifice and are those bodies there for them to return someday? Also I am thinking they might know how to bring back burial dolls in the 1st world because of the technology...Ania should be able to know...right? |

Excellent explanation! Thanks but I still what are those statues other than proving that the burial dolls still have a body they had before they became sacrifice and are those bodies there for them to return someday? Also I am thinking they might know how to bring back burial dolls in the 1st world because of the technology...Ania should be able to know...right? The body's are the body's of the Dolls that have used up all their remaining soul. Essentially when you become a burial doll you're body is put into a capsule that apparently feeds the mecha your soul in order to power it. When you run out of soul power your body is all that remains. Whether or not they're actually dead is a good question to ask. There would be no point in keeping them well preserved like that if Tomo's brother wasn't open to the idea that there might be a way to bring them all back in the future. |

I only know the basics of the plot and I'm not even going to bother trying to figure out things but I do know that this episode was awesome. I'm glad he chose Takatsuki and I like the color scheme of the new kurogane. |

argilium said: wow.. another amazing ep.. i was wondering at first why there is no OP but Alternative turned out to be the insert song in this episode's amazing moments.. upgraded Kurogane's color scheme is kinda weird.. but i'll get used to it.. but hey.. tomo has become more powerful, eh? an Asura Cryin' who is also a demon and whose Asura Machina is almost as powerful as Hagane.. He is only a demon in the first world in his world the 2nd world he will not be a demon just an Asura Cryin when he makes a contract Takatsuki in the next episode. |

The first world is saved now, I guess that Tomo will go after Tooru and her brother from the second world. |

Arghs, I do not understand why he chooses to confess to Takatsuki. Why not Misao?! She has done just as much or more for him. |

Meh, this episode didn't have the impact it should've had considering all that happened. Anyway, I'm glad they're going back to the 2nd World. |

What annoyed me about this episode was the idea of Kurogane II was randomly said by Misao when we have people like Naotaka and Nia both so called geniuses and the creators of the Asura MAchina, who never managed to cotton on to this idea. Also boo at choosing Mary goddamn Sue Takatsuki, Tomo. You've been an idiot for most of this show and you continue to do so. Tomo had much better chemistry with Misao who herself is such a better character. Now I shall become an hero for falling into this shipping faggotory. |
