| The couple was just unlucky to have moved to such an unusual village. As the village head said, those "bringer drums" were guides to the new folks moving in with a prayer that they'll bring good things their way. I guess they didn't bring anything good with them at all, and so paid the price. Edit: Re-watched and re-evaluated. This season lacked decent stories and the ominous atmosphere S1 had. The narrator's greeting is still the best thing about Yami Shibai though. |

| Eh, it wasn't scary imo (and I'm really a scaredy cat, the first season made me jump a lot) I feel like the anime lost its touch. It was weird rather than scary, some episodes had potential, but looking at it now- I can't really name one that's left an impression on me. |

| A good build up with an extremely weak, disappointing ending. Half of the Yami Shibai stories suffer from the lack of details. not the other way round. Throwing creepy/weird stuff together and not explaining things doesn't make things scary, it's just confusing. BlackenedGirl said: I can't really name one that's left an impression on me. But I agree that most of them weren't memorable, but at least had a few that were good. 2nd season is just forgettable all around. |

| This season didn't really reach the heights of last season... I still remember Zanbai and that guy who was stuck in the department store elevator...they haunt my sleep often! Haha, I totally related with the wife this episode though. I'm always the last one to fall asleep, which can get scary at times. The stories this time around were more weird than actually scary. It wasn't bad, per se, but I can't rate it as highly. 6/10 |

| Did it end here? It didn't feel like an ending... unless they intend to make a third season, then they should have used the last episode to show the story teller's face. Besides, it wasn't really scary, just weird. |

| this was maybe the worst episode yet. there was no atmosphere, no build up, not even a big scare. the 1st yami shibai season was much better than this (which isnt hard to accomlish). sadly, 4/10 overall. |

This season seemed to feature stories with lessons to learn, and maybe even allowed room for us viewers to draw our own conclusions, which may strike a conversation in forums. That's fine and all, but then the ones that should've been scary weren't. If I had to choose one; then WALL WOMAN was the most suspenseful and had me holding my breath. Last season, CONTRADICTION was the one story that scared me the most. I rated this episode as I Hated It! I give this 2nd Season of Yamishibai a straight 5. |

Yami Shibai is all about, like you said, unexplainable stories. They rarely bother to give us details, which like I said, is actually a detriment, not a good thing. This happens in the first season too, but the reason why the elevator and the zanbai ones work is because they DO give some explanation or have a good setting and build up. Both seasons have the same premise, season one is better because they actually put some effort in setting up for the scare or explaining what's going on in most episodes, and it's perfectly valid to use an episode of season 1 to explain why season 2 is inferior. |
| The first season made me a little scared to be alone in the house. The Wall Woman episode of this season did so as well, but everything else in this season just-- I forgot what even happened in all the episodes. I felt safe with season two because I knew nothing would happen. Nothing really happened that would have me peeking around walls in this last episode either. |

| I am probably the weird one here, but this episode actually gave me the biggest scare out of all 26 episodes. I was expecting the thing to come from the window, but never considered the possibility of it being inside her husband. It should have been obvious yet... 6/10. Same as S1. |

| 7/10 I appreciate the stories. The chief guy doesn't like city folks, so let a ghost possess/make everyone into babies again. Hence the "think of it as your birth place". |

| this is the first episode of tihs series that left me saying "What?!" by the end since it felt like it was such an abrupt end with like, no relation to the buildup or stuff -w-' last episode- huge disappointment .w. |
