That was one hell of a shot though, Knives must of had a magnum in order to take Vash's arm clean off...
Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes:
"Oran Solus? I know him. What a wanker. He still owes me a tenner." Oscar Wilde
"Oran, you're so intelligent and awesome <3" Bakayaro
"Oran's sexy." LolitaDecay
"Oran is a sophisticated penguin." Drybananna
"Oran is a Hand-Eye you faggots." EddieSpaghetti
"Oran for Prime Minister." the_prime_one

Good Episode.
That girl was so nice to let Vash stay with her.., at first when i saw him with the long hair, glasses and facial hair i didn't know who that guy was until i heard his voice and realized it was Vash.
Now Vash & Wolfwood are out to kick some butt.

While not being particulary exciting or thrilling, this was a very important episode. First off all it really sets up the final events, second it just shows Vash is (or wants to be) an ordinary man leading a simpleac and peeful life, but he can't because basically he is a weapon, he has a huge power that he cannot ignore no matter what... and then there's knives. This is why Wolfwood's tells the old lady he is sorry... because it pains him to take Vash out of his little dream.

LOL, Vash with long hair looked like a tramp or something xD

OK, now let's be serious... Another filler episode about Vash and his story. There is about Knives (horrible bastard, btw) and he seems to be main foe of Vash (BTW, if Knives is the main foe, Legato is just Knives' footstool xD). We also found out, that Vash only wants to be like every ordinary man but it is impossible because of his powers. Poor he, I think that he is the tragic character because of that.

Would Knives and Legato be the same person or are they just accomplices? Crazy thought...and now we know more about Vash's past.
This is getting pretty serious here-Vash changing from a well-meaning bumbling dope to someone being haunted by his past and unable to protect himself from the inevitable...what that will be.

That's what I'm thinking too. That Knives and Legato are the same person.

And NO this was not a filler episode. Fillers don't have tons of information that will lead up to later episodes, and they don't do as much to develop a character further.

In manga it said that 2 years passed since Fifth Moon event.

It's not a filler, it's based on first chapter of Trigun Maximum manga - continuation of Trigun. Normal Trigun has only 3 volumes and ends on the Fifth Moon incident (because the magazine it was being released in died)

I'm actually happy it follows Trigun Maximum. I thought it will end on Fifth Moon event and then make its own version of events from there... but I'm still not sure if it doesn't do that in the end - the number of episodes left till the end is ridiculously small compared to number of chapters left till the end in the manga.

Maybe Legato is just Knives with dyed hair? Just a thought.

I didn't like Vash as Eriks at all. It made him look like a total wimp.

Last episode I watched (even though I already saw them all a veeeeeeeery long time ago).
I like it very much.

I loved how they managed to make the relationship between "Eriks" and the girl so strong with only flashbacks and a couple of scenes.
I loved the bromance between Vash and Wolfwood. The hospital scene was made of win. :D

To the contrary of Dissent, I did like seeing Vash as Erisk. In the sense that, it just added legitimity to the story to see that sometimes, even the most motivated person, just gets tired and wants to give up. Those little "pauses" only end up making the character stronger and much motivated. Nothing bad with that. Only showing the audience that he is indeed, despite his origin, very human. :)

Did not like Eriks at all. I know it's what he wanted to be, but he can't just have everyone at the mercy of the bandits like that. There has to have been something he could have done.

Great episode! "Vash wanted out, but they keep pulling him back in" as Michael Corleone would say

By the way it's been 18 fucking episodes, and i finally start to realize who the hell Vash really is. I dont know about you, but it's taken way too long! 7 episodes of mysteries would've been fine, but 17? That's way too much filler!

Oh and hey my favorite buddy-cop duo is back! Wolff and Vash, baby!!

my favorite bit is when Wolfwood points out to the two mean who were thinking that vash had no sense of pride, that Vash's dance did not just save his own life but the lives of those tow men as well. Wolfwood may be the dark/anti hero in that he is willing to kill, but like knives and legato does NBOT enjoy doing it

He is most certanly Knives himself. He just uses a nickname just like Stampede I guess. Because that thing he made Vash do is something only Vash and Knives can do.

Also I don't understand what kind of a mental state are the people who consider these last two episodes filler and others main in. Seriously...

It was good but the battle felt really anticlimatic all that building up of them walking towards the bad guys and then suddenly we cut to Vash having a haircut that was a bit of a letdown

I guess it just shows us that it's not just about the battles anymore. Different things matter now.

OK, now let's be serious. Are you trying to set the Guinness Record for "the stupidest person"? I barely ignored your stupid-ass comment on the previous episode, but now I've had it. Your stupidity is unbearable. Do you even have any idea what the words "filler episode" mean? How about looking that up before making stupid, contradictory statements like this? Sheesh.

Vash grew his hair out and a beard and it seems like it was supposed to be a lot of time had passed.

So Knives is there causing trouble and Wolfwood came back!

Vash got naked and acted like a dog! LOL.

So there were only a total of seven major cities on the planet with two of them having been destroyed by Vash.

It was refreshing to see Wolfwood back to complete their duo. Without conversations between those two, the show's dialogue can get quite stale.
