Ore dake Level Up na Ken Season 2: Arise from the Shadow Episode 10 Discussion

When I was a kid I used to get excited about anime where characters were killed off, it was cool and daring. Now I'm 32 and I don't want anyone to die on screen. I'm tired of it. I think if they keep doing this, I probably won't watch season 3.

so what? jinwoo will lose then? why are they letting their guard down anyways? What about the guys at the A rank dungeon where the ogres were at? They were relatively powerless but weren't made out to be idiots. The enemies were op but nobody needed to die in order to prove it.

Also, why not kill the other 2 before they can realize what happened and have a dramatic pause to look at the girl's body? If it's so powerful, it didn't need to leave the nest, could've just waited there for the guys coming after the queen. Doesn't need to target the healers first because a cut head is impossible to stitch up. What was the shadow soldier jinwoo put on everyone even for?

And all this inconsistency is unique to that one scene. The whole deal makes no sense. As in why not just nuke it or bombard it? Why are Japan and korea the only ones dealing with it?

It better not be that the ant has "a terrifying presence" or some shit, that makes it even more nonsensical that nobody knew a huge ass fucking bug was coming.

This motherfucker Goto Ryuji and his japanese buddies acting like they own the place was fucking frustrating to see, being honest. This stuff airs in Japan so I’m not sure how they’d adapt the controversial part of Jeju island, but yeah, I’m kinda looking forward to it lol. These mini fights or more like these people training among themselves was pretty dope to see btw. As all of us might have expected anyway, we did get Goto Ryuji fighting Jinwoo, and yeah, the disrespect was REAL from Jinwoo. Dude was holding back the entire while and even stopped his super strong attack as if it was nothing.

The entire stuff was too much to handle for that man’s fragile ego lmaoo. One more sec, and who knows, he might have died. Good that people separated them lol. Though yeah, Jinwoo opting out of the raid might seem something very surprising but yeah, he has a family now and he wants to spend time with them, so I see nothing wrong with it. Though you just know you cannot have the most important arc of this series without the main character right? So yeah.. looking forward lol. Ant queen is fucking menace and so all those other ants spawning out of her. Pretty much a build-up for how the raid would look like in the coming episodes, I mean now that all of them have come together.

Things do seem rushed but yeah it is what it is. They need to cover this whole arc in the next three episodes after all… though stuff has started to go south now.

Is it me or is Jeju Island heavily inspired by the Chimera Ant Arc from Hunter x Hunter?

OK WTF was that? I feel like the anime has done quite a good job at adapting the manwha, but this episode was the first time where I feel they really messed up and did the story a huge disservice. I'm referring to Jinwoo's fight with Goto. Goto is supposed to be the strongest hunter in Japan and the Korean hunters give the sense that he's stronger then all of them. So when him and Jinwoo fight it's supposed to be a big deal and for us as readers (watches in this case) and chance to see just how he stacks up to other hunters and the anime totally gives off a completely wrong feeling. In the manwha when Jinwoo fights him he terrifies Goto so much that he's left a shell of himself panicking that he was going to die. It was the first real time when we actually get a sense that Jinwoo is actually way above any hunter. But in the anime they make it seem like that maybe he's stronger.

I know this might seem small and petty, but the anime and manwha really do convey a very different feeling and compared to the manwha when you're left thinking, ok Jinwoo is levels above these other people. In the anime you're just left like, I guess he's strong. Such a cool, character defining scene for Jinwoo that got ruined.

The S-Rank was killed so easily.
