Miyo using her powers to try and help others is exactly how I'd expect her role to be like this season.

Kiyoka took care of business out in the wild as usual. Can't estimate Tadakiyo's value either as she's more badass than I had expected. More interesting in the plot is how a human can become a demon. Troubling as it sounds, this is yet another problem for the cast to resolve this season.

Yeah, the fun thing is, that mother was completely okay to let a stranger in her house as long as he’s some rich handsome looking guy, who coincidentally has some family background as well. I mean if Arata wasn’t from Usuba, pretty sure she must have had him do the chores as well lol. I’m waiting for her redemption, but I’m not sure if this story even wants to take that direction or not. Though hey, Miyo actually helped out that person with her ability, so I mean she must have gained some points… right??

This Usui person and his cult being somewhat related to the Usuba family was actually… a revelation we kind of saw coming lol. I mean every evil thing in this series has to be connected to Miyo somehow right? Though that is for later, actually not really, but still, as I mean if not the redemption, at least they made it seem like the evil mother WAS NOT actually evil, she was just a BIG TSUNDERE. I kinda agree with her points on Miyo as well, so yeah, i guess good thing that they’ve left the house for now, better return with some character. Btw, like I said every evil thing in this series needs to be connected to Miyo and here he is… big villain of this season. The man himself in slow mo who calls Miyo his daughter lol.

You know, he really did just barged in without asking anyone lol, the evil mom was right about that.

A lot of superpower stuff this episode, i must say that in the first season i was not a big fan of the whole supernatural stuff, like at all, but here i actually am interested in the whole plot regarding the supernatural, its actually intersting this time around.

I don't know if the second part of the episode with the Mom and our girl was super rude, or the most cutest thing ever, lmao. That cliffhanger tho.

Damnnnnn, animation popped off for a second there. That scene with Kiyoka and his dad fighting the demon things had some crazy good comp, and you could also feel the weight of every cut. I see you Kinema.

Story wise, looks like things are finally starting to get serious. Interested to see where we go from here.

It's good that there's some visualisation of how the young man was exorcised. There wasn't any description in the LN.

Damn, they skipped the family dinner. Still, Miyo looks really beautiful in that kimono. There were supposed to be more tsundere moments for the mother-in-law, but I'll take what we have right now.

And the most anticipated kiss is now a reality. They could have lengthen it if we are not rushing the events. Then again, the comments on Miyo acting as a servant is frustrating.

The point of this arc is to demonstrate how Miyo is different to how she was in season 1. I get it. She is not progressing as much as we would like to, but there is some progress contrary to loudmouths here who are claiming that Miyo has regressed. Jesus.

ETA: In defence of Fuyu, the reason why she wanted her would be daughter in law to work as a servant is to humble them. She expects them to be spoiled. Thus, someone like Kaya would be weeded out and tap out of the engagement.

But as a blessing in disguise, all the abuse Miyo had experienced in the Saimori household has made her immune, so to speak, to whatever menial tasks Fuyu wanted. It was not emphasized in Episode 2 that the way the Kudou household treats their servants feels heavenly compared to the Saimori household, which is why Miyo complimented Fuyu. Too bad this did not come across that way, and many felt Miyo was being stupid.

The couple finally have their kiss, after being interrupted by Arata coming to their house in the OVA. Turns out Kiyoka's mother doesn't really hate her, she's just a nasty tsundere lmao.

It was so fun seeing the mom get shocked by Arata's intro. So giving the people the ability to use powers while neglecting to tell them that it would turn them into demons huh. Classic villain theory right there. The tag team of father and son though was pretty effective though. The enemy leader though sure was one that had quite the link to Miyo though. Though loaf to admit it openly its nice seeing the mom acknowlege Miyo her own way. The manner of which the main villain entered the narrative sure was chilling.

Ah, The moment we've all been waiting for, the beautiful kiss under the light of the moon. It's so nice being able to see what I've read put into visual content.

For those who didn't like Fuyu, you're going to love her once you get to know Usui. We did get that foreshadow of him in episode 1 but I thought they would have a certain someone there as well. Well that's just the reality of adaptations, not everything will make the cut. anyways, get ready cuz the Usui ark is going to have you on the edge of your seat!

Oh wow I didn't expect the story to be this rushed. Guess I'll need to get into reading vol 5 & 6 soon. I miss the romance, but the supernatural action is also a part I like though it seems to be more and more intense coming up.

Anyways, happy to see the long-awaited kiss.

Was that an apology? I don't know what to make of Fuyu's "acceptance" of Miyo. In my opinion, she would have continued to act the same if she hadn't found out about Miyo's supernatural abilities and her connection to the Usuba family. If all her behaviour towards Miyo was just to make her less shy and a better wife for Kiyoka, I don't buy it.

Anyway, it doesn't matter because Miyo and Kiyoka finally had their moment with a lovely kiss. It's about time... But seriously, couldn't the moment of happiness last longer? Now, a resentful ex of Miyo's mother is causing trouble and even considers Miyo his daughter. That's definitely scary.

Ahhh what an episode! Action, romance, character development for Miyo and Kiyoka this had it all. One of the best watakon eps imo. Loved it. THAT ENDING THOUGH??? Lemme find out Miyo mom was out here getting loose man 😭

First of all, so dope seeing Kiyoka and his dad get a little father-son action in. Unc still got it I see. Whatever the gifted communion are after, I doubt it’s as simple as them feeling charitable and wanting to give regular humans abilities. Someone’s building up an army, but for what?

Miyo was able to use her ability and save someone!!(with some help from Arata) but just the fact she was able to take initiative on her own, acknowledge the risks and still go through with it is such a big moment of growth for her. I am so proud of her

I’m not the only one, Kiyoka hugging and reassuring her that he can’t live without her and that he’s proud of how she helped out in her own way was sooo cute. Acknowledged her frustrations and efforts and just keeps reassuring her. He knows all the trauma and the insecurities she has, he’s still so patient in spite of it all. “You’ve become someone I can’t live without long ago” awwwwwww that’s the sweetest thing he’s said to her omgmgmmgmggm. I love them so much!!! That kiss too!!!

I would’ve maybe been able to get with Fuyu’s apology if it weren’t so backhanded and nasty but calling Miyo dull, ugly and all this other shit when you supposedly want our sympathy is not doing it for me. She’s a bitch, and just like she didn’t to sympathise with Miyo’s past I’m doing the same with her 🤷🏾‍♂️ i think that’s the biggest smile we’ve ever seen from Kiyoka tho when she told him to help miyo improve her confidence. He really does value her opinion

WAIT IS THAT GOING TO BE HER DAD??!!!!!! I need this next ep NOW.

Miyo looked stunning with her loose hair and new outfit that scene in the bedroom where she thinks about the kiss was so sweet

Kiyoka battling demons with his dad was insane the animation really took off

The story is getting so intense with the supernatural elements unraveling can't wait to see what’s next

And OF COURSE, now that the b*tch in law has learned that she is from an important family and has powers, NOW she considers treating her like a human being. OF COURSE, this is still done in a tsundere way, because apologising would imply demeaning herself and we can't have that. So it's not because she feels bad about the way she has behaved or because she is afraid to lose her son. No. It's because Miyo has ties to the prince. So OF COURSE, now that the b*tch in law has been "redeemed", she won't suffer any consequences for her behaviour. I'm done with this sh*t. Sorry, not sorry.

Damn, the kiss that Kiyoka and Miyo have was so sweet and beautiful. You can't help but smile at the pair sharing a wholesome and intimate moment together. =)

The action scenes with Kiyoka and his father against the enemies looked great as both father and son make easy work of their opponents. Sadly, the enemy faction are now making their move, even as Kiyoka, Miyo and Arata arrive at the train station of all places. Usui makes his entrance, with a sinister smile on his face as he calls out to Miyo in particular as his dear daughter.

It was tense moment to end the episode on. Usui does look like a guy that shouldn't be messed with, so I hope that Kiyoka and Arata do their best to protect Miyo here.

So we won't learn anything about the reasons behind Kiyoka's strained relationship with his mom? They are SO similar. This has been mentioned in the anime too of course but I think it gives some perspective on Mrs. Fuyu. For example, Kiyoka is a character with a strong sense of integrity. He strictly segregates his workplace from his family. Especially when it comes to his workplace and people he is unacquainted with, he pays attention to hegemony and is extra cautious/alert. Similarly, I feel that Mrs Fuyu treats the Kudou mansion as her workplace and she has strong principles about how everything ought to be. I like how everyone in the Kudou household is perceptive and accepting. I feel that this is reflected in Kiyotaka's personality too. It would be fun to see Mrs. Fuyu and Hazuki talk to each other!

bruh kiyoka's mom was just the biggest tsundere. i think she went too far tho at the beginning when she was about to hit miyo, but in the end i think she came to like her. i agree that miyo needs to be more confident and apologize less but that was not the way to teach her.

man, I really wish this show didn't have the supernatural aspect, and was just a pure period piece. It feels very out of place imo, and it takes away the weight of the character oriented writing that I think is the strongest part of this show.

This episode was so so good damn..
Vast vast improvement from first two episode.

Arata finally did a good thing shut that bitch up. Anyway atleast he let Moto help that person out. Good to see she can finally use her blessing well enough. That was enough for Fuyu to accept Mio as Kiyoka wife, as if her opinion matters anyway. Even when she accepted her she still insulted her. But she was atleast right about Mio's timidness and lack of confidence she needs to improve there really badly. In the end Fuyu turned out a very nasty tsundere, I am happy for Mio but I won't miss this bitch.

Father son Kudo duo team up was great.
Good slick animation and visuals to boot.

Dk why people are hating FANTASY of a FANTASY ANIME. But I really like it and this Gifted Community seems bad news.
"Equality" by making them demon... huh

Lovely kiss (finally) between Mio and Kiyoka. These two are so cute and beautiful together.

But that Usui entrence though🫡

@patkarunungan After the 2nd episode I had a feeling they might adapt novels 3-6. It's a shame because the first season was perfectly paced and now they'll be skipping a lot. They did well enough with these 3 episodes so it should be fine in the end.

Now I need to be sure to finish 5 & 6 before watching more :v

@Monochrome Yeah, it's a bummer. But on the bright side, the big day will come next season or perhaps in an OVA or movie.

You will love Miyo in LN 6, which I assume will be covered in the final 2 or 3 episodes of this season. Those who have slandered Miyo early this season will be put to shame.

So this anime escalated quickly. From being a story about a power couple, it has now become a story of power lineages. There's also a bit of social commentary here about empowering the lower classes. This just adds more spice to a continuing better story.

Hate to say it, but I agreed w/mom re Miyo's nervous stammering. Sometimes I feel like shaking her. The guts to say she was going to win mother's favor and take action to do so is in direct opposition to her speech pattern.
