Nah we’re not doing the “she’s mentally” gimmick. Hadis doesn’t know she’s mentally 18. So all he knows and sees is a 10 year old making it weird as fuck. “Who cares” people who don’t like children. I’d imagine. “Lolicon emperor” is cringe.

Didn't people make it a big deal with the "mental age" back when this was argued over with Rudeus? Saying that Rudeus needs to date up only, not someone his own age. Why is it that it is treated differently this time? Mal community isn't exactly consistent here.

Idk why you expect me to speak for other people? But anyway both are weird as fuck.

@Marinate1016 Just wrongfully assumed you were part of that group because of how strongly against it you sounded.

This show was a pleasant surprise for me. When I saw the Shoujo tag it was almost an immediate pass, but the comedic style and story grabbed me from the beginning.

Also, for people mad about the time travel/age-gap love story: you need to stop. You can't compare the situation to any real-life one because it's a straight time-travel fantasy. Every time we have a time-travel or isekai protagonist that is an older mind in a younger body the same idiocy occurs. First and foremost: it's fiction. There has never been nor will ever be a comparable real-life scenario. Secondly, especially as political marriages go, age gaps are not uncommon at all. Everyone knows about Julius Caesar and Cleopatra but nobody talks about the fact that he was 52 and she was 21.

Overall, this was a fun show to shut off your brain and enjoy some fun comedy and interesting story. I really hope the anime continues.

From start to finish, a very entertaining series. They did a great job in concluding this season with a phenomenal episode. I would rate this 9/10.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I have no idea what to think of this anime. I didn't hate it, but it was a complete and utter mess. The animation and art style was all over the place, and the plot made no sense. Tons of very dramatic and serious scenes got interrupted by sudden cutesy lovey-dovey comedy moments. Almost every fight scene was over in a single attack because the studio didn't have the budget to actually show us anything. I was genuinely shaking my head in disbelief during the last few episodes. I will be ASTONISHED if this gets a 2nd season. I'd definitely watch it if it does get one though.

So much yapping only for our so called emperor to do nothing yet again until the enemy conveniently imploded by himself and had to be taken cared of...stopped by Jill yet again who is otherwise powerless. What a joke of a show. All this drama and bs only for some random ass talk no jutsu to end it. Let's forget all the betrayal and innocents who have died because of it. All this time they had all this struggle and for what? Were they really so frightened by the uncle who was easily taken care of this episode? It makes 0 sense, just omega bad writing.

The whole Faris bit at the end isn't even a reveal for anyone with half a brain, which is clearly not something Jill has, given that she should be well aware of Faris' relationship with her brother in her past life and even when the spear is staring straight at her face this episode, she is STILL shocked and was even persuaded by the goddess for a minute over some stupid logic...

In the first place, how can it be that the dragons would be unaware that the ruling family don't even hold the blood of the dragon emperor? It's one thing for humans, but dragons who live for hundreds of years and have been watching/waiting? I don't buy it for a second...

I also feel sorry for their future kids who have been sold off to a bunch of traitors for the sake of a so called "happy family plan". Great idea by our MC who experienced the same when she was sold to the prince of Kratos in her past life. Clearly she learned nothing from her past life.

Really disappointing because the first arc with the port fight was actually pretty good, but it has only nosedived since

I loled so hard that the thing she thought of to get him to stop was the 10 kids thing...and it actually worked.

I'm also shocked that the "sister" mentioned that Gerald actually loved and needed Jill....well I mean...more shocked about the "loved" part....
I just can't stop imaging him being such a stalker/pervert from the OP lol?

@akihikosama Because it's different groups of people. The same people who don't like Rudeus dating anyone under 18 are the same group that find it icky that she's 10 and the emperor is late teens or whatever.

Me personally I don't give a shit, she's cute, and she is cuter when she's older. Aside from plot bs, they will probably stay together into their late years, maybe even over 100 years old, the age gap doesn't really bother me that much especially considering

1. This is anime, not real life
2. This is a fantasy anime set in the past, where this type of thing wasn't super uncommon anyways
3. Other characters have already explicitly stated they're uncomfortable about the age thing
4. She IS mentally older than her physical body, regardless of how the emperor views her, he at the very least realizes she's mentally mature for her age.
5. She is the one who chose to be with him
6. I'm pretty sure he is going to love her regardless of her age, so it's not like he's a pdf
and more importantly
7. She needed to be under 14 due to plot points, that is how the author wrote it, so it is what it is. I suppose she could have been 12 or 13, but I'm pretty sure that's still in the icky zone anyways?

this anime has potential like other trapped in otome game or redo the otome game background thing but they decided to go all over the place and forgot the main problem, the prince that has sister complex and he commit incest at that.
this should've been the MC main power to threaten her enemy when she confronted the sister at the port, but she decided to go another route which is I don't really understand the point of it.
the mc could easily said she could spread the rumor about the prince went incest with his sister in this episode and boom that would spell a destruction at the goddess kingdom but then she still considering the prince love for her? what a dumb shit.
also, the goddess power and the dragon power should've been on the same level and yet Lord Raze as a sword couldn't even confront the spear directly, wtf?

It's good, but I still can't get over the fact that Hadis is the Diddler. The age gap is still weird, but other than that, it's enjoyable to an extent.

Isnt the true age gap 2 years?

The production quality dipped hard prior, during, and following the "fight" against the dragon-thing.
But thankfully it recovered immediately only a few minutes in. As they pushed through that part, with such lowered quality control, that it expressed nothing short of, "Please viewer, skip this. It is supposed to be painful on your eyes. Wait until the light of Jill comes to shine brightly again.". Or at the least it really felt that way.

Plus,

As she forgets her age ("gap?") again and jumps at her tall dark and strong man during his time of anger over her safety.

Also, at least the translation I was watching... What happened about her being. 13? Just shy of a year out from her 14th birthday?
I thought that was a significant plot point. Plus, was why she was reincarnated at that age instead of just back at 19/20/21 like when she died.
As, at 14 she can become the possessive spear possession goddess's vessel. And that was the largest "plot" driver behind the very clear dangers of super saiyan teen girls going on homicidal sprees all over.

Expressing her as, now, eleven years old. Makes very little sense. If the earlier numerals were correct and Hadis was 18/19 and she was 13/14.
To now be, what? Jill at 10/11 starting with her husband at 15/16?

Hadis really did not act unlike his age. That's pretty spot on for modernity's level of 19 year old boy.
As most of those comparable grow in an environment similar to someone of his status. Ie an unwanted actual prince probably left alone hoping they grow fast and exit quickly.
Far more common than hands on attention seen with Jill. And, with similarly most young women in modern times. Whom are almost always their entire family's focus.
Nobility or not. Playing matchmaker is most mothers primary job, once they are done with the day job ofc. The daughter gives you grandkids afterall, no real way to hit the jackpot and guarantee that with your son.

So overall I thought the premise and structure. Was fairly realistic. Considering experience in real life.
And, the awareness that brings on their entire circumstances. Ie a very clearly bound for success due to pure aptitude, and therefore high value to governments and society.
Male, ie Hadis. Is even though he's kind of never who you would allow your daughter to speak to. Your fine with them sealing the deal right then and there.
Because this boy is still a kid, and he doesn't know his fucking value. Put a ring on him and it cannot not be a good call. Maybe you won't be pawning her to an emperor like here.
But, irl, the Hadis' of the world won't really need to be concerned over why they always have a career or job in general. They're too valued to be allowed to know that part of the social hierarchy.

The extremely competent tom-boy wife, who can fight off even the worst predator. Well that surely doesn't sound logical in any context, right?
Almost like the story was very well fleshed out from that fact alone. Allowing the performances and personality's of the cast to actually shine, correctly.

It wasn't "believable" it was truthful. If they retconned by the finale, a mere three months after its airing started.
I sure hope it was not to appease the legal sensibilities of any western audience. As trust me, that kind of a change is deviant from our society.
We all know how the aristocracy lived and the rulers existed in any real empire. Most of us are not just descended from that we basically live it.
When that's your normal it is simply nice to see it expressed in a genuine manner. In a fantasy setting and receive its appropriate adaption from mediums to one that has usually seen difficulty in conveying those facts. As truthful as they are, hindering an investment of any kind. Is a tough sell to not greenlight changes. I'd hope more care will be taken in evaluation of that risk to reward. During future final cuts before the end of the series live broadcast and dies are cut for disk.

Because now, when I'm fairly sure I have a good grasp on that western reaction per market. This isn't going to be well received into the future.
When a month ago. I actually believe it would have been at the least neutral on all sides. As there was serious evidence to support a realistic setting by our cultural norms.
Lacking that, well, not so much.

Overall I did really enjoy this series adaption. It was one of my favorites in the last year. Always brought a smile to face.
The cast did a fantastic job. And, as stated until the final episode any prior quality blips. Were well and truly passing thoughts, because the great directing and scene comp brought Jill right back. To swing anything that had to be hidden to a new frame, with her very pronounced and driven self alone.

I'd still like a second season. If for nothing else than to see how they come back from changing the age range and the majority of their setup surrounding it.
Same cast? Same director? Etc. Yeah, I think they can pull it off without much issue. But, that's just my external opinion, not aware of anything else even tertiary to this series itself. Only this, alone. Which was still an enjoyable experience from beginning to end.

It's the finale of the first season, but we've all but forgotten about the incestuous murderer Gerald, huh? And for Faris trying to be the wife of Hadis, she's not to be trusted either, given that she's into her own brother just as much as he is to her.

Side note: Why did they use "George" with a hard "G"? Sounds super weird.

Jill's impromptu plan to marry off her unborn children to Hadis' non-blood-related older siblings (who we originally thought to be half-siblings) was really wild. Jill with Hadis is already weird enough, since they have an 8-year age difference, but it's not as bad if they just wait until she's older before they consummate their marriage. Jill's future ten children on the other hand, if we assume they became engaged at the same age she currently is, there's going to be a 30-something-year age difference, or more if they plan to have children later. Or they can just skip all that, and Hadis can use his authority to adopt them into his family...which I'm glad that's what he did with that speech in the end.

I knew Faris wasn't to be trusted since she fucks her brother is the mastermind. Even without the Goddess Kratos' possession, the younger sister is still twisted. But I see now why the Goddess chose Faris as her new host, since getting Hadis is her ultimate goal, and Faris (with her brother) all want to kill Jill; their interests overlap. Faris looked to be the same age as Jill, and thus under 14...but since she had the spear, I imagine the Goddess can possess her through that as a catalyst.

Well, that's the end of that...I wonder if this will get a second season.

aside from the age gap (which is imho does not relevant that much considering her mental age was definitely older) i swear i always loved every yarinaoshi otome story like even though i already know that it might do be always containing one or two cliches but tbf i dont care about those like, i could and WOULD watch things like this all day long n dont give a thing about cliches at all 😎 also it feels refreshing to finally watch non cg dragons again god damn as always JC staff never disappoint.

execution was really good aswell, ending got me pretty curious for the next story, definitely cant wait for the next season if it ever got one 👌

Wow, this finale was actually a cut above the rest of the show, the drama was really good with Hadis damning the “Rave” family, but then Jill went and said she’d have 10 of Hadis’ kids and completely killed the moment, but in a good way lol, that’s how you stop deep rooted family beef, it is pretty insane that she said that while being in an 11 year old body, but these are olden times after all lol. And I wasn’t expecting George to become a grotesque cyclops dragon when faced with defeat, even while proclaiming that he’s protecting everyone, and with the reveal he was going after Faris maybe he was, but I’m glad Hadis ended him, he caused all this trouble and he was too far gone anyway.

And the 2nd half of the episode was dedicated to some goofiness between the family members, and you guessed it, read the novel bait lol, but damn if that wasn’t more interesting than the majority of the show. I knew Faris was sus but damn she’s pretty much Jill’s mortal enemy huh, she’s a catalyst for the goddess and is after her man, I really liked that little face off they had but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll ever get a second season to see where that plot goes, but for now we ended on one last cute moment between Hadis and Jill, there were a lot of trials and tribulations but these two are definitely meant for each other.

And that was the time traveling loli and her weird husband anime, and I can thankfully say it reeled me back in after the first arc of the show ruffled my feathers, I definitely feel the second half was stronger than the first, funny how it took nerfing Jill for that to happen lol, I enjoyed her and Hadis struggling to survive without OP powers over Jill just snapping her fingers and things going her way. But yeah I found quite a bit to like in this show, one thing being the comedy, I always thought the show was at its strongest when it was being lighthearted and silly, that was enhanced by the goofiness of Jill and Hadis’ relationship. But then you have opposite of this, being the plot and the serious moments, besides Jill’s Captain Marvel display I found the world and what was going with the goddess really interesting, same with Hadis’ dark moments, all that stuff was really good, but paired with the silliness it felt a bit lopsided at times, then you also had the rapid pacing and iffy production during the action scenes which didn’t help that lol, but overall I think J.C. Staff did a pretty good job on this show. Also the OP and ED were great, still can’t get over Gerald breaking it down lol, but you absolutely can’t go wrong with sajou no hana, they always nail it and this was no different.

And despite my issues, I think I’m gonna miss Jill and Hades, Jill was super cute after all and did have her cool moments besides those few times I thought she looked dumb lol,
I’d definitely like another season of this.

really bad experience
you can write as many of the same stories as you want, with the same demographics, genre or theme that are identical to those you've read before
but be meticulous when creating a script, stop being stupid
