(to manga readers) The animation/action is great, but the supporting characters with pink hair, wtf. The stupid braindead pink haired girl, will she keep stuck in the joke/trope of misunderstanding? Momo and Okarun, no matter the annoying side of their characters, they quickly ADAPT to all the madness they have to face. But that girl seems to be a lost cause. And now the pink haired boy, lol, totally unnecessary. Was like the author raising a middle finger to the audience. Without these two the show would be way more satisfying |

| as manga reader i really cant say, since my opinion is completely opposite, since i find it funny not annoying and i find the supporting characters likeable. The only thing i can say is that they are side characters and dont appear in every arc. The shows comedic aspect will always be present, the goofyness as well, sure it gets a more dramatic as you would expect but the essence of the series will always be there, if you find it very annoying i dont see why continue with it, but is your choice at the end. |
| if you really think Aira and Jiji are surface level characters with only gag/tropes about them, you are seriously overlooking them. Aira may have that "I'm the chosen one because I'm so cute" schtick, but we've seen just how compassionate and caring she can be. she is a character with layers, and she clearly has some unresolved trauma that's keeping her from fully dropping the act. she's already changing as a person, though she clings onto things like her cutesy chosen one act for safety. Jiji was first introduced in a serious, almost threatening manner. he clearly cares about Momo and has even apologized sincerely for everything that he had done to her. the maturity and vulnerability he has shown in private aludes to the fact that he is also more than what's on the surface. also, his whole persona is that of charao, which is why he talks the way he does. I personally love the fact that so many Japanese references are stuffed into this anime/manga. I'm anime only, btw. |

You should try with (Da)³n², or D³a³n² (necessary, since now we're considering the letters as singular entities), but at this point maybe the title itself is the best. All 3 supporting characters are sadly very poorly characterized. It's a shame because Momo and Ken are balanced and well written with realistic personalities. Aira, Jiji, and Seiko are just a mix of annoying unrealistic anime tropes without real personalities. If this is the model for supporting characters going forward it will weigh down the story.

You should try with (Da)³n², or D³a³n² (necessary, since now we're considering the letters as singular entities), but at this point maybe the title itself is the best.

I'm anime only, I don't have any issues with Momo and her Grandma, they are cool, the MC and the pink-haired girl are acceptable I guess, but her schtick of misunderstanding everything is getting a bit old now, I wasn't too happy with the love triangle misunderstanding either, it's an old troupe and I hope they don't abuse it any further, and about the new guy, well, I hope I'm wrong about this but I will probably hate that guy because he's kinda like Zenitsu and I hate Zenitsu.
I detest those over-the-top, annoying one-dimensional characters that abuse their same old schtick because that's what they do, their whole personality revolves around their stupid schtick, but since the new guy got introduced I will let it slide this time, I just hope they don't start abusing that dumb, over-the-top lame schtick of his because I will get annoyed really fast and I will probably be the first one shitting on that character the same way I shit on Zenitsu, I hope he's better than this so for now, I'm skeptical about the new guy.

Pretty much my thoughts. I'm having a lot of fun with this show, but it feels like they're on thin ice, where one misstep and one too many repeated jokes might tank my enjoyment any second now. I was surprised by how bored and kind of annoyed I was by Episode 11. Maybe if an anime hooks people quickly on insane chaos and ridiculous(ly fun) characters, it's only natural it will lose people just as quickly the second it trips up. I hope I'm wrong, though, or hope at least Dandadan doesn't go down this route. |
| I still have mixed thoughts on Jiji, since his personality is so noisy, but largely he is more of the stupidly fun than the annoying type so far to me. I do not find anybody annoying even if I see how they could be to same people, Aira at worst is just harmless fun and at best is genuinely endearing with her antics, not to mention that she has some promising traits or character development that may or may not be tackled, I'll see. Momo and Okarun are still the main reason I watch the show, but even if the other characters did not get as good as them, they are still providing fun dynamics to the show and overall making it a great weekly ride. |

| Just watched episode 11 and I couldn't agree more, Aira's misunderstanding always felt forced, at first I thought she was pretending in order to hide her true feelings but the show made it clear that she really is misunderstanding things in the stupidest way possible, and now we have this idiot added in, I can tolerate a character like Jiji if the point was that he'd evolve into a better person, but this is clearly just a trope to keep the show's routine going and it'll never go away, it's even more annoying that he can just switch between being obnoxious to speaking normally, which means he's only putting up an act. These characters will probably have their moments, but I've learned from watching a lot of anime that once the routine is set, it's never changing. |
