| The gifts just keeps on giving. We got the third and fourth day of the comiket in this episode. However, what I find most entertaining is that Ririsa gets to spend some alone time with Okumura in what appears to look like a date. It's been quite awhile since we've seen them together alone. Ririsa looks like she blushed more than ever before. Fun to also see some other references to franchises for the cosplay including Kantai Collection. |

| This episode covered chapters 61-63 of volume 8 with chapter 64 being the last chapter, so with two episodes to go the anime is going to end in the middle of volume 9. I'm not sure what Volume 9 is going to cover, but I hope it doesn't end on a cliffhanger unless it leads to a second season. What's better than one Lilliel? Two Lilliel's!!! Okumura is so lucky cosplaying as Ashford. |

| As if Aria's good ending being upgraded to definitive best ending wasn't already sweet enough, Ririsa and Okumura exploring the con in-character together made my face sore from smiling so much. Never expected this story to be as feel-good as it is but man do I love it for that. Also, Ogino is a real one for somehow "canonizing" two Liliels hogging their sole Ashford to themselves on the spot, and if he was being unironic that makes his save even better. |
| Okumura and Ririsa go on adorable cosplay date in this episode as they seem on the verge of realizing that they love each other. Glad to see them grow closer like that. Also loved to see Aria's parents getting along, hope we get to see these three again soon. A pretty fun episode overall who kinda gets back to the roots of the story: the two main characters having a good time together and growing closer through cosplay. |

| This was an extremely cute finale to this Summer Comiket arc, there were struggles and tears shed, but now it’s time to relax and just enjoy the con with the babes. The first half had a bit of the aftermath of Aria’s situation where we saw her parents meeting together again which was nice to see, as well as Aria maybe entering the cosplay harem herself, I know she’s got Nonoa but nothing wrong with going for the MC too lol. Also nice little Kantai Collection/Azur Lane reference with the reveal of another heavenly queen, Erika, she’s got some crazy dedication to perfecting cosplays like an art form, even crazier than our resident Ririsa lol, but I got nothing but respect for that, the cosplay looked sick too. But the real treat this episode was the second half where it was just Ririsa and Okumura going on another pseudo date at a con, this time in cosplay including Okumura as Ashford, can’t imagine a more perfect date for these two. I really liked the bits where they surprised fellow fans selling doujins, really wholesome stuff, and they capped it off when they met a fellow Lilliel cosplayer who I’m guessing is from China based on her name “Xiaoyu”, maybe, I’m no expert on all the Asian countries lol. This bit was really cute tho, Okumura being with two Lilliels must’ve been amazing from his POV, and they even had their own little photo shoot. It’s a shame it sounds like Xiaoyu may not get to meet them again, but their meeting will be a memory that lives forever, hopefully not tho, let the power of anime bring them together again lol. And in the end, Okumura actually pondered being into 2.5D girls after all this time, he’s finally realized the power of cosplay girlfriends lol, and it’s fitting based on the name of the show. And next time it looks like we got a beach episode, this late into the show it seems more like a reward for making it this far, I’m definitely excited for it. |
| The alternate arrangement of the first opening song playing about halfway in the episode totally makes the scene feel like something straight out of a visual novel. It's a pretty fun, geeky detail! |

| Can’t believe we only have two episodes left 😔 I’m so glad aria’s parents made up, I knew the mom lowkey still loved the dad. They were such a cute couple. But you know what that means, Okumura got another member of the harem and Mikarin reacting “don’t tell me I got even more competition” to Aria hugging Okumura killed me lmao. Ririsa is starting to realise how she feels about Okumura and it goes beyond normal cosplay stuff. I wonder if we’ll get a proper confession before the season ends? So many cute moments with them today, it kinda felt like we went back to the first cour with the focus on Okumura and Ririsa at the event. The Chinese Liliel was also adorable! I loved seeing she and Ririsa geek out over their shared passion. Really a sweet episode, wonder how we’re gonna wrap the season up |

| I mean, if she thought that Okumura and Ririsa are lovers, why she suddenly clung at him? That is basically asking for a fight in case that was true. Normally, even if she was just simply re-enacting the scene from the anime and thought they were a couple, she should have thought of asking them first. Well, who am I kidding on asking some common sense on this kind of lucky situation in anime. |

| Man, I've really grown to love this series, it's so good and so underrated. Seeing Aria's parents talk to each other made me so happy. Of course Okumura has 2 of the 10 limited edition Liliel hat. Holy shit, the abs on Erika Awayuki. Aria and Nonopi's friendship is so cute too. RIP Mikarin, more rivals for you, though I can't blame Aria for falling for our boy Okumura, his talk with Aria's father lead to him talking with the mom again, so I'm sure that means a lot to Aria. We also got Okumura and Lilysa just by themselves again, Okumura's cosplay debut too. If Lilysa is the best Liliel, you bet your ass Okumura can become the best Ashford too. That one doujin author's reaction was hilarious. There was also a foreign Liliel raising death flags? Lilysa pout is absolutely top tier though. Beach episode next? Honestly can't wait to jump on the manga once this season is over, I hope we get a second season though. |

| This arc was great! Aria achieved her goal and it looks like her parents might reconnect as well. Plus, she'll continue cosplaying with Noa. We were also introduced to another of the Celestial Queens, but with the remaining episodes, I doubt she'll get much development. The best part of the episode was seeing Okumura and Lilysa alone again. Whether they deny it or don't know it, it's clear that they both have feelings for each other. No matter if another Liliel cosplayer shows up, for Okumura, Lilysa will always be the one. That final expression from the other Liliel cosplayer left me wondering, maybe it's because she's from China and can't interact much with the Japanese cosplay world? Either way, it was a solid episode! |

| Day 3 of Summer Comiket, and Mayuri-sensei's mission for Okumura to find someone with the delay for Aria's parents for the next, the group can finally heave a sigh of relief for their cosplaying efforts on both preceding days. Indeed, Mayuri is with Eri on a "date" selling cosroms, and more than Ririsa reconnecting with past cosplayers, it's the undisputed Heavenly Queen of Erika Awayuki that truly embodies everything about cosplay to sell her figure not for popularity, but because she already is one. Aria being gone for the moment for Obon, but not before giving a hug to Okumura, the romantic cosplay harem just grew one more competition. The last Day 4 of Summer Comiket, and it's back to only Okumura and Ririsa, which reminds them of their first "date", even cosplaying in Liliel's suit just because she can, and letting people think that they're a couple...if only the Ashford costume didn't happen, which actually reflects naturally from the reactions of hardcore fans. Given their "adventure" together as fellow AniManga geeks, this definitely leans more towards the romantic aspect...if not yet ANOTHER foreign Liliel cosplayer appeared before them enough to take pictures together, thereby allowing Okumura to actually have his cosplaying moment that isn't canon (until Ogino canonized it for his almost-embarassing save). Okumura's plan to not get stuck with 2D characters, leaning towards the aforementioned 2.5D Seduction, will he flow into romantic love with Ririsa one day? Who knows... |

| I thought no way they can kept up with the previous episode of how wrong I am. This was another perfect episode. I am so happy to see Aria's parents reconnecting again and going to date again. No surprise Aria will be grateful to Okamura. The last day of Comiket saved the best for last. In cour 2 Okamura and Ririsa didn't get much alone time. Finally the got a comiket date and they did it best possible way. I was waiting for Okamura to finally try cosplay and they whipped out Ashford-Lilleal combo. Perfect date for these two. Seeing Ririsa being more aware and of Okamura and contemplating what kind of love she has really cute😭  Okamura also got a 2nd Lilleal as well, my boy hit the jackpot. Good to see Okamura also have a photo shoot too. Ririsa getting jealous of Xiaoyu is so cute. Three of them were great though. Xiaoyu played matchmaker quite well so don't mind. Xiaoyu is a good girl I hope she can come back again to where she loves (Fuck CCP). Ririsa also got further motivation to improve. Looks like 2.5D Ririsa title finally coming to play. This episode was an absolute treat♥️ 2nd Lilleal and cosplay date was so wholesome. Ririsa getting jealous for Okamura was best. Glad to see both of these idiots getting more closer.  I love this anime so much.. |

| While Okumura and Ririsa are getting closer to each other Mikari has been left out in the cold /sigh. At least Aria's parents are reconciling and maybe they will get back together. Also, it sounds like the next episode will be at the beach so I'm guessing (hoping) that the girls will be wearing bikinis. |

| Cosplaying and fan's determination allowed Aria to meet her father again, she won't stop now. She also managed to set up her parents while she stays with the group to enjoy day 3 of Comiket out of costume where they have a chance to meet a cosplayer in who's all about accuracy to the last detail (parodying ship girl series). On day 4 it's just Ririsa and Okumura. Every time they try making it not look like a date, it becomes one; with Okumura believing he only has eyes for Liliel, Ririsa goes around the stalls cosplaying her. "cosplayers are allowed boyfriends, we're not idols" she says. With Ririsa thinking that having some guy tag along with her looks more conspicuous, she has a Lord Ashford costume prepared for Okumura. Being the hardcore Otaku they are, they stay in character. The doujinshi artist Ririsa came to see cannot believe her eyes and gives them a freebie. The Lord Ashford costume definitely feels planned as a return gift for her Senpai, given that when they were chilling she thanked him, recalling their pledge and the many times he told her to not give up. Her expression of gratitude being set to an instrumental of the first OP makes it even better. Damn, this might be Okumura's lucky day as he has met two Liliels as Lord Ashford. Both Ririsa and Xiaoyu are excited to know Liliel has other fans and discuss about the subtle differences in their costumes; Xiaoyu's is from the main story and Ririsa's is from the Gaiden. Ririsa also reflects on how her compulsion to be accurate and stay canon got her dehydrated last time. The two Liliels and one Ash do a once in a lifetime photo op. Ogino saves the whole situation by explaining away the "non-canonicity" to the other photographers as a struggle between Lilel's love and her duty. Ririsa starts to express jealously during the whole thing which Xiaoyu picks up on so she kindly takes a couples cosplay photograph for Ririsa and the apparent boyfriend. Okumura sees the possibility of him falling for 2.5D. If they are both 2.5D, it could work... I checked the credits for who Xiaoyu's VA was, it would've been cool if they had Liyuu (whom this character might be based on?) or Kaorin's fellow Nijigasaki alumni Homin, but alas, it was neither of them. |

Oh wow, i did not expect to see such a real depiction of a chinese tourist. That hit pretty deep, and reminds me how bad i feel for the wonderful people that have to live there.  Many chinese people really do know their lack of freedom, and it saddens them, and they envy the freedom elsewhere. Be happy for them that they've been allowed to make their own anime and gacha games etc to express their love for the medium despite everything. This scene was so real it hurt, i almost teared up. I always feel so terrible for what they have to deal with over there. Xiaoyu's entire life was probably made that day. Never underestimate the impact on peoples' lives you can have with good things. In return this girl probably helped set our duo down their path of romance, so she's an important landmark in that way. That's the kind of thing i'd realize later on and be sad that i couldn't thank her for it. The best word to describe all this, is the japanees word "kizuna".  This is the kind of picture that ends up in your photo album, and you look at it 30 years later, thinking back on those times =^.^= ...and you remember who took the photo. --- That line about idols too...  You don't have to be an edgy series like Oshi no Ko to make serious commentary on the industry or cultures around it, if anything this is more realistic. davidyodo24 said: It's not meant to be a death flag, it's empathy for china's harsh restrictions on freedom.
