@RobertBobert Why Armored Core? The capture stuff sounds more like Evangelion and AC has left arm-only melee. There were no quad/tank bottoms, nor any core expansions. Aren't the only similarities light/heavy builds, customization and PVP option?

| Cue the next in line. Others don't appreciate the value of trash games 😔 skill issue on their part. Rust gotta earn their name. Frfr everybody loves fighting XD but yeah. Those two had quite the aerial stunt battle. Through buildings, under bridges, all the lasers, what a bout. Sunraku was Rusty enough to get handed an L, I guess? XD But he was moving so quick for so long, I don't even know if that attack could be brushed off with that excuse. It was a straight attack and he took it.. oh well. This is no longer Shangri-la, this is mech city 😆 Fiddler Crab W. Sending in the absolute tank against a speedster. Got a nice clean chop of the arm, I can only respect using uncommon parts to remake the meta. The dream of any build creator. |

@RobertBobert This is objectively wrong, there are quite a few Evangelion games, not to mention many other mecha franchises. I didn't notice anything in the past couple episodes to link this with AC specifically, nor have you mentioned any other similarities than being a game (parodying a franchise doesn't require matching media types, though).
| @meganimeman You are confusing major mecha game franchises with games based on mecha anime. With that logic you could say that Shangrila Frontier is parodying The Lord of the Rings because it had a ton of games despite being a book and a movie series. Not to mention that the mecha system itself in Eva does not allow you to modularize your robots. Whereas AC is literally built on this. And yes, reduce the categoricalness in your words, please. This is only our 2nd or 3rd comment to each other. |

@RobertBobert Sounds like you're confusing sharing the same genre with parodying something. Can't say I care for separating mech games into ones tied to anime/manga and original IP.
Armored Core doesn't have capturing of robots for own use, nor operational time limits (no major franchises come to mind, but Eva is close, esp with raising fetuses into EVAs - there's also various hw configurations of the ones in the anime). Pretty sure AC doesn't have mysterious invader robots from outer space, nor were there mentions of corporations hiring mercs in Neph. So neither settings or mechanics seem to have a strong link.
Come to think of it, you could capture orc leaders in Shadow of Mordor and make them help you out.

Please remind me when Evangelion had modular robot customization? When did people fight each other with robots? When were robots so mechanized and not humanoid? When could you make Eva fly with wings or become a boxy robot tank, for example? When the whole world was involved in this and not just NERV? All you're holding onto is a short scene with lore, which is truly EVA inspired. But the universe itself doesn't, it is literally AC-like. |

Many times I have stopped playing a game because I was stuck, bored or whatever and started playing something but others it's simply because something else caught my eye and it may as well be a trash game. "Oh, I've heard you were playing Earthbound and got pretty far on it" "Yeah, but I stopped halfway through" "What, why? Weren't you enjoying it?" "Yeah" "Then what is it? What did Nintendo do wrong? | Shows that have mechs always having the most lame dogshit mecha design of all time. Can they not just hire one of the absolute kings of mecha to draw 2 robots for you for one episode? That said Rie Takahashi was wonderful as Rust and I want he to have more roles like this rather than Emilia and Megumin. I really like her harder tone with Tomo and Rust. Episode wasn't bad though just complaining about how mecha is treated outside of the genre's core shows. |
| Great episode as usual, It's great to see Sanraku play other games also. And the number of people disappointed that he plays other games and calling these episodes filler is astounding. Anyway, loved the episode, and I hope he plays other games also in the future. |

ugh.... I'm annoyed...a WHOLE other episode dedicated to another game.. and people saying "this is how a real gamer is, they play multiple games" this show is not about the lives and habits of gamers... it's about this game he discovered called Shangri-la frontier.. even IF the purpose is to introduce you to his other rivals, you don't need entire episodes to do it! that could've been explained in a flashback easily...a season only has so many episodes.. the fact that we've spent TWO so far on another game means less time from advancing the story in SLF and you're left feeling like u didn't get anywhere in the season and have to wait for the next season... that's what's frustrating...

| Lmao at the people whining because Sunraku isn't playing ShanFro 24/7 like a zombie. That said, some people watching this show sure are funny. They whine if Sunraku plays too much ShanFro ("Wethermon fight taking too many episodes", for example), they whine if he stops playing ShanFro... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyways, great episode overall. Really liked how the fights between Sunraku and Rust were directed. And as for Rust, I really hope she joins Sunraku's group in ShanFro soon. Something tells me she's the ninja girl from the OP but they have different VAs so I'm not that sure... By the way, the numerous close-ups of Rust's face throughout the episode made her look so hot. I can tell animators really enjoyed drawing her scenes. |

But then there's this random Robot game... that doesn't contain any of that... in fact, the game actually looks pretty fun to play and has very good responds. (doesn't look like they have any sort of "lag", "delay" or "ping issue") But in previous episode, Sun calls this game a "Trash Game" as he went through his archive to pick a Trash Game to play... Meaning, Sun is just being bullshit calling this game a "Trash". . Other than that. The fights looks pretty good. Sun's change up with the Robot was interesting, very different from his previous robot. Heavy Armor, Heavy Weapon, Camo and Teleport. The slow movement doesn't matter if you can teleport, LOL. |

Cause Sun and his sister was talking, and then Sun said he was going to play a game. And I know for a fact that all previous episodes of games Sun played was just "Trash Games"... and I saw half of the label with "Trash Game" (I missed the "non-" part). RIP MY EYES. . But looking at the shelf of non-trash games, there's actually quite a bit of them huh... I wonder if they're all online PvP games. Since it looks like the games Sun enjoys the most are games with PvP or mass fighting in it. It feels like the writer got bored and did a reboot switching all we knew and thought we knew. I don't give a damn about this game or it's players. It's obvious he's going to wind up recruiting them. I don't think we need weeks devoted to him doing so. At least when he played the trash games, the glitches were fun. Typically, I like filler, if it's interesting and/or if I'm learning something new about the characters I've come to know. This is none of those things and it's not filler which is even worse. AND we have at least 1 more episode of this garbage. smh My guess is he'll be going into other games as well. I hope he goes back to the last trash game we saw and gets the guy he fought. | Rust is super cool and op with that red nimble mecha. Love more Rieri, can never have enough. This time again with the rough tomboy voice, way different than the type she usually voices but I've been liking this a lot. Action was really cool and Sunraku was defeated. |

| @dragynfaerie It is though. Just because name gave wrong impression, doesn't mean it change what this anime is about and it's about MC and the game he plays (though "Sunraku play games" wouldn't make good tittle for novel/manga/anime). |
| Okay this girl is definitely strong eh, but seems like Sunraku is cooking something with this new robot and his camouflage strategy, he already broke one of her robot's arm I can't wait to see how the rest of the fight will go |
