I like mysteries a lot and it's usually what fits visual novels the most, ace attorney and umineko in particular have been among my favourites for a while now.
My main problem is that a lot of them aren't consistent from beginning to end, have forgotten plot points, contrivances...
One of the biggest disappointments has to be with uchikoshi who can't write any decent mysteries despite somehow garnering a big fanbase and popularity. I have a hard time finding unknown vn that I could like because most tops are filled with the same titles and I rarely encounter people that are deep into the medium.
Hi, you mentionned being big into visual novel, any hidden gems you would recommend ? I've had trouble finding some that are actually well written
